Guest NoCalMike Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 "Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler were not too happy about the announcing desk moving up near the entrance stage from its original location at ringside. McMahon made the decision for the move to help give the feeling that Eric Bischoff is truly influencing the look of the Raw product. Ross and Lawler believe that the announcing is much better when they have the energy of the live crowd right there with them like they had when the desk was at ringside." -wrestlingheadlines.com I don't see how why the announcing should be any less efficient when the crowd is still relatively close to them. I personally like the idea of Raw having a different look than Smackdown. Oh well, we'll see where this goes.
Guest Shaved Bear Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 it makes it seem more like a Bischoff show
Guest RicFlairGlory Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Its a damn good idea to move the desk, and I've had to sit in those nosebleed quality seats back there, and you can STILL here the crowd when it marks the fuck out JR doesnt like it when other people fuck with THEIR part of the show, but he smarks the fuck out for it in his Hoss Report
Guest The Superstar Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 In the Ross Report, JR said he was getting used to it and liked it or something. Although he always sugarcoats everything. "That Ron Waterman is a hoss. Expect him on TV soon." ...and then he gets released.
Guest the 1inch punch Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 He's probably upset that the cruiserweights are getting a push and Bradshaw isnt
Guest evenflowDDT Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Eh, Ross & Lawler can shove it. They seem to be complaining an awful lot lately, for some awfully subpar announcing.
Guest Vyce Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Those bastards are probably only concerned with one thing - they're not on TV as much. Cause inevitably, someone would get dumped to the floor, either right in front of them or on top of their desk. That won't happen as much now.

And when they are on TV, Bischoff is right there beside them
Guest The Czech Republic Posted August 6, 2002 Report Posted August 6, 2002 Heat was using a cool camera angle where they were viewing the ring from right behind D'Lo and Coach's heads, I dug that.
