Two UnAmerican Questions

OK, I started thinking last night, will the WWE risk releasing an UnAmericans shirt? Would it sell well? What would it look like? I'm thinking black, with the upside down American flag on front (it's their logo, I think) and something like, "Distinctly UNAMERICAN" on the back. Will this happen?

Second, will the UnAmericans be portrayed as faces in Canada and overseas? Or will the WWE have them cut heel promos in Australia and England?

I would think that they would be face in Canada and over seas, seeing that they say they represent the world against America.

It's only a matter of time before they do. Whatever could make money, they'll do. I guess for the risk of media backlash or whatever, I would bet they won't release it til after September 11th just because everyone knows that America will be all patriotic again once they remember 9/11 again. I think it'd be funny to see.

Call it the "Please kick my ass" t-shirt. I think I'll go into a bar in NYC wearing one and carrying a stop watch to see how long it is before I die.

"Hmm. 1.51 seconds."

It's interesting, right now they are bashing America straight up, not saying "canada is better." I guess they're trying to be known as "Unamerican" as opposed to "Anti-American Canadians."

I still wish a Canadian like Edge would stand up to them and tell them they're a disgrace to Canada.

I think the media could care less what WWE does. In 1990, it was known as a Kiddy show and that's why the Iraq sympathizer angle was so well hated.

Today, Media accepts WWE as Adult Entertainment.

However, No one in their right mind would even consider wearing that shirt.

Scott Keith probably would.

i think they should have more shows in Canada, like they did during the border war of the late 90s, so it can really intensify things, but too bad Benoit is on SD! because he'd get HUGE pops

Keith was actually pretty critical of the Un-Americans comments about President Bush.It might of been more suprised they did something like that, than being upset about the comments.

He did bring up a good point in my view. Before last night the Un-Americans were more about how morally corrupt the U.S. was. Than we get the U.S. is killing innocent people, and being bullies. The Un-Americans can know be called the Bleeding Hearts.

Another question for you: When will they plug a non-Canadian into the group? Say Regal or some one like that.

I would. Hell, I had it as my avatar before everyone cried bloody murder...

regardless, I think an Un-Americans shirt is inevitable. And yes, the group will be SO over outside of America, especially in Canada.

:D

I wouldn't think that they would enlist the services of a non-Cadian guy, although I can see Regal joining because he is English and it's more of "Non-Americans against USA" instead of "Anti-American Canadians". Kind of like how Brian Pillman was a member of the Hart Foundation.
