They was calling him that even before he started doing new moves. I think if Nova could come in as a heel and feud with Matt it could be cool...since they never seem to want to start this Flock shit they've been teasing us with. Now I know most people here don't think much of Nova saying he invented this and that and whatnot...he does steal a lot of shit and take credit...but otherwise he's not bad

He teamed with Blue Meanie, Chris Chetti, and some other guy. I couldn't keep track at that point. He's an average wrestler at best. I believe the last time we saw him was at WWA: Revolution.

You say he is overrated but everywhere I look I see people say the same thing so I don't really know if he is thought of as a great wrestler by anyone is he? Wait, my one friend thinks that Nova is a great wrestler. Of course he was a huge ECW mark. Everything that they did was better than anything else being done. I loved ECW but I was also a realist Dreamer/Raven I thought was as good as anything but there was also crap thrown in a lot of places. So that makes one big Nova mark.

Over-rated in the sense that ECW managed to make people think he really was a good wrestler. Given the chance I'd like to see Nova tear it up with Matt Hardy, D-Lo, and (of course) Kanyon. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets the call-up to SD though. They have the CW division and there are a lot of guys on that roster he could work with as well. My favorite Nova move was when he would powerbomb someone, and when said wrestler was on his way to the mat Nova would follow him down with an elbow to the groin. I only saw him use it once, and Styles was like "You can bet you'll see that on Nitro this Monday!"

I'll admit that most of the "Stop stealing what I invented" stuff got old, but to say that he's a worthless piece of tripe is kind of stretching it. I mean, good God, I saw some of his British work against the likes of Doug Williams that was just some of the worst shit trying to pass itself off as wrestling in the history of the sport. I'm not sure which was worse: a) his blown offense B) his horrible stalling c) his pathetic transitions d) his belief that he's actually worth anything The "Tidal Wave" is a spot that has been done many times before Nova and Chetti used it. The "Cryptonite Crunch", another move he accused Michael Modest of "stealing" was invented by Mariko Yoshida and was being used before Nova even became a wrestler. I'll take Kanyon over Nova anyday. At least Kanyon knows how to use his "innovation" in the context of the match as opposed to Nova, who must always be thinking something along the lines of "I know I was just getting my ass kicked, but here's an inverted hip-toss into a face-buster!! AWESOME!!!!" What a putz.

Well, yeah, I mean half the guys Nova bitches at for taking his moves aren't any better than him, but still, that doesn't give him the right to bitch at them. I think Nova is from some bizarro land where Jake Roberts still hardbors resentment for his DDT being "stolen" as Lou Thez lets his resentment out on the world for taking the power bomb.
