Time to turn The Rock heel?

This was brought up prior to the WM match last year against SCSA. Who would turn heel and how. Some said The Rock could come back from filming with a Hollywood attitude and turn heel. I think they should run with this now. The reason it makes sense now is because of his "Get the F out' promo he did when Stone Cold jumped ship. Someone can do a worked shoot on him where they say that he made those comments then he takes off to Hollywood to be a star while they are working their BUTT off, etc.

 

He of course could come back with the attitude, talk about Hollywood fans being more real than wrestling fans, whatever. I think it could get him some real heel heat and we've already seen arenas willing to boo him. A monster heel like the Rock could create a monster face in whoever they choose to shut him down.

A Hollywood Heel Persona would be stupid.

IT would basically go against Rock's previous Heel characters.

When Rock was Heel, he was Heel cos he thought he was the best and he was too good for everyone. He was naturally a cocky bastard.

To say he gets cocky because of Hollywood would be like a MidCard gimmick like the 'Champagne' Kanyon charcter.

The WWE would only lose more viewers if the Rock turned heel. Bad Idea. There's still lots of people who only watch wwe b/c of the Rock and they wouldn't watch him as a heel.

I really don't see the Rock turning heel anytime soon. If the Rock wasn't a movie star, the WWE wouldn't have any problem turning him heel. The fans just wouldn't accept him as a heel also. *sigh* I so wanted to see another heel Rock, but it won't be happening.

I don't think the fans fully ever accepted Austin as a heel. The reason is because he's Steve Austin. If you watch and/or remember all the Raws and SDs, every time Austin would enter the arena, you'd hear the natural boos, but you'd still hear a good amount of people cheering and taking pictures. Remember when Austin won the WWF Title for the sixth time beating Kurt Angle? Even with Regal's obvious interference, when Austin stunned and pinned Kurt Angle, he was popped majorly for it. It would be even harder for The Rock to turn heel, because he is a crossover star as well as a top draw in wrestling. The boring Rock-face persona has to go though, one way or another.

I saw Austin in June and this was right after KOTR. The glass broke and the crowd exploded in cheers and flashbulbs.

 

I think the first month of Austin's heel turn killed it. Austin post-JD was gold

I know when RAW came to Calgary in May of 2001, which was right after Judgment Day, Austin still got a good pop from the crowd, even after he retained the WWE Title against Benoit.
