Guest Quik Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 Well, with Smackdown's incredible rating (despite pre-emption), how long until Vince finds a new top angle? Honestly, with the ratings dipping like they are, I agree with Austin more and more. He jumped off a sinking ship. He didn't take his ball and go home; he just got sick of playing with a bunch of shitty players who keep striking out.
Guest chirs3 Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 Considering their propensity (right word?) to rehashing angles, I expect to see a "There's only room in this company for ONE General Manager" main event match between Bischoff and Steph, with a Lesnar run in. In 2 weeks.
Guest Quik Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 Personally, I'm waiting for them to start listening to Shawn's visions from God and using them as booking plans. I'm not kidding, I really think we're gonna have another reset after SS
Guest Nevermortal Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 Vince will fire Bischoff and make Steph the GM of both brands. That's obviously what's going to happen.
Guest jester Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 I think Bischoff's in for a little humiliation first. Vince carries a grudge a long way (as Bret Hart will tell you). Eric will spend a little time with his head up Rikishi's ass and jobbing to Stephanie before he goes.
Guest wwF1587 Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 RAW after Summerslam, thats where the reset button will be pressed, we will get one or two awesome shows..... a few good ones.. the rest will be crap...
Guest Ram Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 It'll only hurt the company more. And that's why it'll most likely happen. Vince won't get it until we're back to 1994.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 isn't the raw after ss the 500'th raw or something?
Guest Incandenza Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 It would be appropriate for the reset to happen at the 500th Raw, given that this would be the 500th new era within the last year.
Guest Ram Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 I wonder if RAW will hit 1000. What number did RAW start getting great ratings and when did it start to drop? I wonder if there is a place to find things like this.

Eric will spend a little time with his head up Rikishi's ass and jobbing to Stephanie before he goes. I hope not... Bischoff has been consistently entertaining and a fresh face on RAW. I'll even go so far as to say he saved the show. It's been way better than Smackdown ever since the split.
Guest The Superstar Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 There's like 20 RAWs until 500, like last week or something JR kept noting how it was Episode 480.

Guest cabbageboy Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 I'm not sure about a reset but I would bet it has to be before WM next year. I can't imagine them trying to build the WM main event and card with this silly split thing. I figure at Rumble next year they'll find a way to unify it again. I figure at WM next year Bisch gets his ass kicked royally by Vince and either gets tossed out on his ass, or perhaps regroups and becomes the manager of a heel stable.
Guest claydude14 Posted August 11, 2002 Report Posted August 11, 2002 500th epispde of RAW will be the official turning of RAW into Nitro!
Guest RicFlairGlory Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 500th epispde of RAW will be the official turning of RAW into Nitro! Oh shut up about this shit, WCW is dead, get over it.

Guest claydude14 Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 i wish it were, i despised WCW. but jericho saying "welcome to Monday Night Jericho" instead of RAW IS JERICHO... that was weird wasn't it?
Guest mister foozel Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 i wish it were, i despised WCW. but jericho saying "welcome to Monday Night Jericho" instead of RAW IS JERICHO... that was weird wasn't it? how was that weird? you've never heard of "Monday Night RAW"? I for one have heard it said many times. This little tidbit from Jericho doesn't mean anything as far as Nitro.

Yeah honestly dude, you're reaching if you think a Jericho catchphrase means RAW is going to revert to WCW Programming
Guest Valcourt Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 I don't think turning RAW into Nitro would make that big of an impact. It wouldn't really BE Nitro would it? It would be WWE Nitro, it just doens't do anything for me. I think it would be cool if they did a RESET, but I don't think it is going to be a DRAMATIC reset.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 i wish it were, i despised WCW. but jericho saying "welcome to Monday Night Jericho" instead of RAW IS JERICHO... that was weird wasn't it? how was that weird? you've never heard of "Monday Night RAW"? I for one have heard it said many times. Yea, in 1993! I agree that it doesn't really mean anything, but nobody calls RAW "Monday Night RAW" or "RAW is WAR" anymore. It's just straight up RAW. Maybe they used "Monday Night Jericho", not as a tease for an upcoming "Nitro", but just a tease for former WCW fans and conspiracy theorists everywhere.
Guest Cubbie78 Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 They actually dropped the RAW is WAR moniker after September 11th, to be more sensitive or whatever and changed it to just RAW I believe...Jericho changing his catchphrase is probably just a shot out to his WCW catchphrase, or it could have just been used as the setup to have RVD come out and say HE was Mr Monday night, which I thought was pretty cool....anyway, I think your reading too much into that
Guest DJ Jeff Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 At first I thought that WWE RAW was going to become WCW Nitro on the 500th episode of RAW. However, I can't see that happening at all. After SummerSlam, Vince McMahon will think up another storyline, which will involve Shane McMahon returning, and beating Bischoff's ass at Unforgiven for the GM position on RAW.

NOooooooooooo... Shane needs to JOIN Bischoff and take over the Raw announce table with him! I can't wait until a neckbreaker becomes a "inverted neck grasp back slam" and for both guys to be shouting crap like "WOOHOO!" and "BOOYA!" constantly. Hell, it'd be more entertaining than Lawler.
