Guest HartFan86 Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 Since all the music contracts and stuff came up for putting songs on video, all kinds of themes are changed. -nWo come out to some random production music. -Flair comes out to his hold 1992 theme. -Taker comes out to some random production music -Edge comes out to his Volume 4 theme. Just letting you guys know...though you probably won't care.
Guest Nevermortal Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 That sucks.. But doesn't the WWE own all the themes used by the wrestlers?
Guest NazMistry Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 Well The WWE wont on Limp Bicuit's Rollin, and they won't own Edge's Rob Zombie track. Nor will they own the CUE PORNO MUSIC BAYBEE~!
Guest Youth N Asia Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 Plus all 2002 releases are on EP speed...making for shitty quality
Guest HartFan86 Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 Plus all 2002 releases are on EP speed...making for shitty quality Big Time...and they didn't have the Backlash DVD at the video store, either.
Guest HartFan86 Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 That sucks.. But doesn't the WWE own all the themes used by the wrestlers? They have contracts for a certain amount of time. Notice how Taker stopped using American Bad Ass one day and started using Rollin the next? Cause they changed contracts. Also, Kid Rock didn't want American Bad Ass in video games (which was in the contract), but they used "Rollin" and Fred Durst himself was in the game. This goes for monthly PPVs too. They have contracts with bands for certain amounts of time until they run out. Same with the nWo theme. It probably cost a lot more money for that theme than most others. That's just how I think it goes.
Guest DokDoyle Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 The judgement Day DVD is like that too....and no I didn't buy it at Shopzone. It's available in canada at Blockbuster, too
Guest Grenouille Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 I have the Backlash DVD. If you notice the nWo music used is the same that's used in the WrestleMania X-8 game. The whole dubbing thing isn't new though, the WWF's been doing it since the early days of Coliseum Video when Eye of the Tiger was dubbed over when Hogan came out.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 That's pretty interesting. I've never heard of the WWE dubbing entrance themes for VHS and DVD videos before. Did it sound weird since it was dubbed and all?
Guest The Voices In Your Head Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 This is nothing new. They did it for some of the themes on the Royal Rumble & No Way Out DVDs, [although the NWO PPV has the nWo theme on it] and unfortunately I'm pretty sure they'll continue to do it in the future.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 WrestleMania X8 dubbed Tear Away over the opening pyro on DVD.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 WrestleMania X8 dubbed Tear Away over the opening pyro on DVD. One of the advantages to ordering the PPV and taping it is that the WWE can't dub your tape.
Guest Down Below Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 On the Royal Rumble 2002 VHS Tazz & Spike come out to Tazz' old music instead of the Cypress Hill version.
