Guest art_vandelay Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 From http://Rajahwwf.com/: Thanks to Steve Gerweck for sending in the following: I was able to communicate today with Jim Ross, Senior Vice President of Talent of Relations, through the WWE offices in Stamford, CT. Mr. Ross is in Seattle, Wash. gearing up for tonight's "Raw" telecast. I asked JR about a variety of topics, including the status of X-Pac, Ron "The Truth" Killings , and Debra, among others. - On the topic of rumors regarding X-Pac's situation. "X-Pac is still under contract at this time." (Gerweck note: Sounds like its just a matter of time before a release is worked out between Sean Waltman's and WWE lawyers.) - Regarding the possibility of re-hiring Ron Killings (AKA: K-Kwik, K-Krush), the current NWA World Heavyweight champion, and a graduate of the company's developmental system, JR stated, "NO PLANS AT THIS TIME to bring back Ron Killings as he has cultivated work elsewhere but as we have always said about him he is a talented young man we would enjoy working with again if and when there were creative plans for him. We are very pleased at his recent personal success." - On Steve Austin and Debra, JR says, "Debra's contract has been suspended as has Stone Cold's." - Whereabouts of The Big Boss Man: "He is helping teach in OVW." - On the status of Steve Blackman, "Blackman is under contract that ends in October." - On Haku's possible return to WWE television. "Very doubtful for Haku at this time creatively." - Regarding the statuses of David Flair, Eric Angle, and Horace Hogan. "None of the 3 talents have been released." (Gerweck note: I'm under the impression that Hogan and Flair have been released, but may be under contract until their 90-day cycles expire).
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 They pushed Kwik for what, three shows? Good job dicks. Meanwhile, BOSSMAN STEALS PAYCHECKS! This is also means an unspectacular end to the eras of Meng and David Flair, who I will forever look at and think "Jesus, Nitro was awful".
Guest bob_barron Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 Noooooooooooooooooooo Bring back Haku!
Guest bcu1979 Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 - On the topic of rumors regarding X-Pac's situation. "X-Pac is still under contract at this time." "Very doubtful for Haku at this time creatively." This all sounds too good to be true. Could the WWE finally start getting rid of some of the dead weight in their company? Cutting all these developmental guys before they even get a chance in favor of keeping around people like Bossman and Godfather never made any sense. I won't believe X-Pac's actually been released however until I read it on wwe.com.
Guest y2jailbait Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 What do they mean by released Flair and Hogan? I read that and wondered how that one couldve gone down without anyone even thinking about that.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 The funny part is how Ross has to comment on guys they released like Truth and Jerry Lynn, when guys like Bull Buchanon are still on the roster. Always makes me laugh. The Lynn one not as much...because I think everyone knew he was a talent...and the fact that WWE couldn't find anything for him to do is a joke. But the Truth is especially funny to me...because it took the guy all of 3 seconds of mic time to show more charisma then most of the roster. And that includes the hosses
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted August 12, 2002 Report Posted August 12, 2002 What? Kwik had more mic time than he had wrestling time, unless you include the Royal Rumble.

Guest y2jailbait Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Stupid stupid stupid! Oh well, we all make mistakes. Whooo, that was a close one, i thought my favorite old man Ric Flair was released!
Guest Ram Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Who asks about Haku, Big Bossman, Horace Hogan, and David Flair? Are questions just hard to make up these days?
Guest Human Fly Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 I thought Steve Blackman could've been used more then he was. Sure he was pretty vanilla, but so is Randy Orton, John Cena, etc. Blackman got decently over during the "It's Party Time!" era.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 I thought Steve Blackman could've been used more then he was. Sure he was pretty vanilla, but so is Randy Orton, John Cena, etc. And so was Lance Storm, who made a gimmick out of it. Blackman never could do it successfully.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 BOSSMAN MUST BE ON TE3! I need to see those assholes take the stiffest punches in the world! (Short of Vader.)
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 I want to see Kane squash X-Pac in his return match.
