HHH tonight...

Basically, the talk of the internet right now is that HHH looked like his oldself tonight. I would have to agree. I mean, even simple stuff like the beginning of Raw with the polo shirt. Sure, it's not 2000 HHH...but that's so totally 1997 HHH. It looked like HHH slimmed down quite a bit and he was really going good tonight. I'm just posting this to see how you guys feel about hHh and that if he can actually become the great wrestler that he once was.

My opinion? Next week will find out. If Rock/HHH is above ***...then I think turning HHH heel was the best idea...cause his matches are improving. I wouldn't judge by Summerslam because, well, it's against HBK of all people.

Reply your thoughts.

It felt like I was back in 2000 all over again. Anyways, HHH is once again a heel, which isn't a bad thing, it's a good thing. I'm thinking that the Rock vs. HHH match next week on RAW will be at least a *** match, hopefully more.

I agree totally, and the only reason I came on this here board tonight was to post your exact sentiments. You beat me to the punch, you bastard!

Seriously, he looked really great tonight, there's no denying it.

Even with all my HHHate, Hunter did look on his game tonight (no pun intended). Which is good... I hope to see more of it. :)

His snap on his bumps reminded me so much of his 2000 form, i dunno what it is about his heel character, its so good, it hides all of the cons of his wrestling ability.

He showed signs in the Main Event. But it's too early to tell if he's returning to 2000 form.

His match with HBK at SS won't help to tell us, but next week's Raw might.

He didn't really do anything tonight aside from play heel.

But I never liked him, so...

HHH is better as a heel, and he's now a heel. So that alone helps things. Add to that, that it looks like he's shed a few of those excess pounds and also was looking good in the ring tonight, and we might be talking!

HHH IS one of my favorite heels ever, I simply haven't cared for what he's done since Jan. If he goes back to his former form of 2000 & 2001, I will like him once again. I can't wait for RAW next week, as THAT will be where we can really say what version of HHH we have in store for us! :D :D :D

OMG!!! It can't be possible! I thought HHH=GOD to BML! I had no idea how he REALLY felt!

Ahem...

HHH was decent tonight, but he was pretty overrated in 2000 too, IMO.

Still hate him though.

Triple H looked good tonight and I hope soon we're back to montly great PPV matches instead of his recent PPV efforts

Goddamn you! I forgot! uh uh uh...Fuck Jericho!

Seriously though, if he's gonna start busting out **** matches on a regular basis now, then good for him. His ring work is good sometimes, I just don't care for the character.

Lookwise maybe, but in his brief bit of ringtime, almost all of his offense was punches. Rest was a kick, a clothesline, a high knee, a snapmare, and a choke. So until I see actual improvement in his matches I don't give a shit.

Hehehe...thanks. You weren't the first to comment on it. A friend of mine drew it for me. :)

if HHH becomes good again, this board will die. well, except for Hoss jokes.

Which is exactly what I am hoping for. I'm not hoping for the board to die out (never happen), but I'm looking for Triple H to start reverting back to his usual self again, just so this HHHate virus can cease to exist. Triple H is starting to go back to his older self again, and he showed some signs of how he was last year and the year before that. Next week's Main Event with The Rock is a big test for Hunter to see if he can still be the great worker he once was.

He was a bump artist. Not a great worker.

Anyways, now that that's off my chest, he looked decent but was limping after the show.

His promo seemed less boring than they usually do. The line about Shawn pointing to the TV from his wheelchair when HHH on and telling his son that is what a real man is was pretty choice. About his offense, it looked well timed with the exception of the whiffed high knee, which was more booker's fault for falling too soon. His speed didn't look like an issue tonight either. Lets hope this is a sign of better times for the Game.

I'm sorry, but HHH bored the hell outta me tonight, and I really didn't see anything special in his ringwork that reminded me of 2000 HHH other than that he was in there with the Rock. The only thing that somewhat surprised me about HHH was how easily he was able to get the fans to turn on him tonight.

So, if Triple H is face he is a slow, lethargic, political bastard. If he is heel he is at the top of his game and back to his old self again.

Oh now I see the blind man said.

Monday's main event is make-or-break time for HHH. If he really is back on his game, the only excuse for a bad match is clusterfuck booking. He's fighting the Rock, a guy with whom he has great chemistry, and someone who hasn't missed a step since returning. He's back to his comfortable heel position, and all his injuries should be basically healed. So like I said, unless the match is a big screwjob, he had better deliver.

I still think he probably is a polticking bastard (but then again I'm not an official HHHater since I don't believe in a lot of the supposed backstage bullshit that gets posted on the `net)

But the slow and lethargic thing, you have to remember it may have something to do with him being, well you know..ACTUALLY MOTIVATED as a heel rather than a babyface? I remember one of his first guest spots on Conan O'Brien where he noted that he liked being heel much, much better than playing babyface because he felt like it just suited him better. And hey it does, I mean.. most of this board already hates him and sees him as a villain, so it works perfect for him, I'd say.

Just think Steve Austin earlier this year (totally unmotivated) compared to Steve Austin last year (motivated and determined to show that not only has he been fully healed from the neck injury, but that he could turn his character heel and play it just as well as a babyface, which I think he did)

Yep, that's about all i got to say...

Did you guys HEAR that ovation for the Undertaker tonight? Oh yeah, he's still got it...

I have to agree that it's too early to tell what shape HHH is in, but that match certainly was encouraging.

They still have to work on his promos though. Less is more, man. Balance that, do good in the ring, and I will renounce my hhhater status.

It was an 8 man tag (they sorta hide weaknesses). His, what, 3 minutes in the ring, were hardly enough to justify this 'back to form' talk.
