Guest Big Poppa Popick Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Now here is a thought I had after last nights Raw. Currently Golddust has one hell of a reason to be pissed off at Jamal and Rosie right? By taking out Minidust, this ranked as the second attack on WWe talent, and the first fairly high-profile one. I say the WWe should realize what's going on with the currently popularity of B&G. Goldust comes out with Booker T for the usual Booker T promo, but Goldust cuts him off before he can say Sucka...The tension builds, and Goldie cuts into Jamal and Rosie like we all know he can, finishing up with "Eric, we'd like 3 minutes to entertain you...Now can you dig that..." and of course, we get the delayed Suuucckkkaa at that point. B&G thus entertain the crowd with their Spinaroonies and what-not until finally, after "3 minutes" Jamal and Rosie sneak attack, but wind up toe to toe with the challengers. That's how the segment ends. We come back from commercial break with them still in the ring, still fighting, still equal...I'm torn who should go over, so I'll call no one, and say they brawl out of the ring area This way, we can add a red-hot B&G vs. R&J feud after the match at Summerslam, have some look at how the big guys wrestle, and further cement the team of B&G as taking no shit... What do you all think?
Guest HartFan86 Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 I think that's a great idea. Having a Booker/Goldust vs. Island Boys for the tag titles feud would really help out the Island Boys.
Guest bob_barron Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 I agree- That'd be a good brawl and really help all parties involved
Guest jimmy no nose Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Does anyone know if Jamal and Rosie can actually wrestle? I'd like to see it, but I'm afraid that they'll turn out to be just two more fat guys. Booker and Golddust do need a tag team fued though, they are crazy-over.
Guest Zack Malibu Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Jamal and Rosie can go from what I've heard. They've apparently torn the house down in HWA/OVW, and have looked good in their short "squashes" on RAW. Giving Goldust and Booker the belts is a great move IMO. It furthers a Booker push without getting him lost in the singles shuffle, and it also helps Goldust out. Let's face it, we all love The Book and want to see him get a shot at the top of the WWE card, but Goldust came back from obscurity and has worked his ass off to be one of the most entertaining parts of WWE TV. This way, the tag titles help both guys, and when Booker breaks off from the team to go off on his own, Goldust doesn't look like his sidekick...he looks like his equal. As for a feud with The Island Boyz or whatever they'll be dubbed, it's a great move, because it's beneficial to all parties. Booker and Goldust dropping the belts can be done without hurting anyone. The Island Boyz could take the titles, destory Goldust in the process, and lead Booker into his solo push. That way you've established a new team as killers, gotten Booker a little further up the card, and have Goldust sell the injury for a few weeks so that his skits don't become stale.
Guest Haku Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Ya Ekmo and Kimo have been awesome in HWA they could have a great feud with Goldbook
Guest Austin3164life Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 A BookDust/Island Boys/Un-Americans feud would be the best. The Un-Americans could be the heels who are waiting as opportunists to pick off whoever is left in the BookDust/Island Boys feud. It would resurrect the Tag Team Division I think.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 I'm happy with the match we've got. BookDust v Storm/Christian will be much better than the Island Boys, who havn't even had a match yet.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Why the hell are they calling one of them "Rosie" when they're trying to get them over as huge monsters?
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 Apparently the names Jamal and Rosie are more marketable than Ekmo and Kimo.
Guest JAxlMorrison Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 I for one am just wondering why Booker T is going to be stuck in the Tag division yet again. What will this make him as far as combined WWF/WCW tag title reigns go? Like a 47 time champion? How about finally letting him step it up? Oh well.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 Nice idea. The way they're pushing everyone, it looks like the Unamericans, Bookdust, and the Island Boys are going to be the big tag teams for the next spell of time. I still say make the belts float since there's about 3 good teams on each show...but in any case, yeah, such a feud would work well. Don't think it'd need the belts, though. If the Unamericans are going to be some of Raw's strongest upper midcard heels--and they have to be, considering that HHH and Jericho are the only other biggies--they could use a bit of a run with the belts.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 I'm not convinced there's any reason for Bookerdust to go over at summerslam, but i'd certainly rather see them job to Christian and Lance than the 'erase the hate' twins. I think that program would be a good idea afterward though, yes.
Guest notJames Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 I agree. Keeping the belts on the UnAmericans can only help the "legitimacy" of the titles. And a feud down the line with BookDust and the 3-Minute Offense doesn't necessarily need a title to be on the line. The midget massacre I think is enough to start it.
Guest liberal Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 Hypothetical scenario, Un-Americans do go over and keep the belts. You then do the bookerdust and island boyz fued. You could then end up with a scenario where there is a tag team match on the PPV without the tag champs and not for the belts, surely that would devalue the belts a little. Just Playing devil's advocate
Guest razazteca Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 Apparently the names Jamal and Rosie are more marketable than Ekmo and Kimo apperently wrestlers with female names is over, they go from being ethnic to being Southern boys.......Roosevelt is better than Rosie. At least they are not going with the trend of using has been pop icons as the basis for names. Island Boys vs BookDust vs Canadians can be entertaining but having only 3 teams in the tag team division will burn out faster than the last time it happened. It can go a good 3 months if the Canadians switch the team line up or if new people are added in like Sheldton Benjiman to Bookdust, Rikishi to Island boys, Val Venis to Canadians. Which can lead up to a setup for the Survivor Series cage match....War Games maybe
