Guest LexLugerRules Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Assuming Christian and Storm will lose the tag titles to BookDust, and Test will lose to The Taker. What happen? I have a bad feeling that its jobber time for the Un-Americans.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 I think Test might actually steal a victory with interference. They might lay low in September since it will be the one year anniversary of 9-11 and you know the media will rip Vince if he keeps up with this anti-Americans gimmick.
Guest Ram Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 The group will probably disintegrate, and Lance will go back to Heat, Christian to house shows/jobbing, and Test to his new push.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 They got T-Shirts now! They arn't goin anywhere.

That's exactly what Vince wants. Negative publicity is better than no publicity at all.

Even a year later, tension is still high. If he does do it though, it would be a perferct opportunity an American such as Angle to get over by kicking the crap out of them.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Between SummerSlam and September 11th, I'm thinking the Un-Americans will probably lay low since Vince McMahon doesn't want to cause any trouble with the media. That doesn't mean that they have to lose every match, though. They just basically have to watch what they say, that's all.
Guest Austin3164life Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 I think Vince, a guy who thirsts for controversial media attention, is going to keep the Un-Americans going full steam ahead, because they have heat. Think about it in this fashion. September 11th is on a Sunday. The Raw after 9/11, the Un-Americans can gain MEGA heat by doing what they normally do, and they can do an angle where Kurt Angle defects to Raw and takes them out. Instead of Angle being the pro-American face, he can be the anger-management-needed face who defends American culture. It could signal a much needed Angle face turn, after last year's bombed. Turn Angle into the face that he was heading into Summerslam 2001. Granted, he wont have an opponent who had heat like Austin did last year, but it would work.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 I agree with what you said AustinHHH4Life. Having Angle defect to RAW and fued with the Un-Americans would be a good way to turn Angle face again.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Would Vince have an interview on the September 9th Raw where the Un-Americans directly say the U.S. had what was coming to them on 9-11?
Guest DJ Jeff Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Would Vince have an interview on the September 9th Raw where the Un-Americans directly say the U.S. had what was coming to them on 9-11? The media would be bashing Vince McMahon and the WWE if that happened.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Does Vince care about media bashing? Or does he care about the extra people who would tune in every week to see Angle kick some UnAmerican ass?
Guest thebigjig Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 I don't think Vince cares, and neither would I. Everyone has been profiting off of what happened, and if I bashed Vince for it, I would have to bash everyone from the news networks to the clothing manufacturers. Why bother? Even if he gets bad press... what else is new? When has Vince EVER had good press?
Guest Dangerous A Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 Actually AustinHHH4life, 9/11 is on a wednesday. The Un Americans can hopefully steer clear of 9/11 because Raw is live monday. They really need to be careful with that group around that time because there are gonna be a lot of sensitivo's in the crowd and there can be safety issues in regards to the Un Americans.
Guest C-Bacon Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 Would Vince have an interview on the September 9th Raw where the Un-Americans directly say the U.S. had what was coming to them on 9-11? im sure Lance, Christian and Test would refuse any sort of promo. We already know that Lance isn;t exactly thrilled with the whole gimmick

Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 Yeah, because Angle being pushed as an American Hero worked *SO* well the last time. If they want to turn Angle face, they've got to stay away from that angle, so to speak. Angle can't defect to Raw. They've got to pimp him as the centerpiece of SD! if they don't want that show to completely die.

They've got to pimp him as the centerpiece of SD! if they don't want that show to completely die. Having Angle go against the Un-Americans would be a great way for Angle to TURN face for good. But I agree that the patriotism gimmick shouldn't last beyond that as it got tiresome. Anyone else remember...... U- S-ubmit to A-ngle ......argh!!!! The Un-Americans should be ok through 9-11 if they lie low and don't make any direct responses to it. Although if, there is another terrorist attack on the level of 9/11, and there will be in the near future, the stable will be phased out over night. The stable isn't horribly offensive right now. Most of the stuff they preach in their promos is the usual stuff jealous countries harp on the U.S about. (Big Macs, supposed laziness, privatized health care.) Heh, amazingly the most offensive stuff are the dumb ass "love it or leave it" remarks from JR, Lawler, Tazz, and Cole.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 No. No patriotism angle. You need a better reason than that to turn him face. His last face run failed because they based it on patriotism. That would work 15 years ago, but not in today's WWE. And he won't be on Raw. It appears they've set him up to be the main guy on SD!, so it would be pointless to take him off.
Guest RicFlairGlory Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 DONT HATE US BECAUSE WE WIN! The Rams DIDNT win. The New England Patriots did. We hate the Rams because they CHOKED
Guest TestKick Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 I still say Angle should join the Un-Americans... he would be the most hated heel ever.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 Angle already gets that "We'd kill you if we could " heat most heels DREAM of. Why mess with a good thing?
