Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 Hmmm........ Angle.Vs.Henry Lesnar.Vs.Rikishi ? Time-to-look-into-the-TV-Guide.
Guest HartFan86 Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 My Matt Hardy idea came true. Cool. Sounds ok. I'll watch.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 I don't really see the need for: Angle to fight Mark Fucking Henry again Benoit to lose clean Rikishi not losing clean to Lesnar Matt Hardy being a face again Deacon/D-Von stuff
Guest The Ruthless Aggressor Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 It looks like the Benoit/Rock match could be worth tuning in for. Everything else looks horrible.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 Wait..Benoit loses clean? Too bad it wasn't Triple H. *ducks* heh..hypocracy at it's finest. People don't want Lesnar to lose to Rikishi because he'll be champ in two weeks..but people want Rock to lose to Benoit while he is champ..hmm..
Guest The Ruthless Aggressor Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 Wait..Benoit loses clean? Too bad it wasn't Triple H. *ducks* heh..hypocracy at it's finest. Neither title on the line though
Guest The Ruthless Aggressor Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 I don't think we should worry about Benoit jobbing to Rock though, at least this isn't as bad as him jobbing his first PPV match back to Bubba Dudley.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 ..at least it's a loss to the current World Champ. I'd rather lose to Rock than to the guy who gets his heat off tables.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 I don't see the need for the IC champ to lose clean.
Guest The Ruthless Aggressor Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 At least he wasn't in the tag match recieving weak spears from Edge.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 I don't particularly see the need for the Undisputed Champ to lose clean, either. Bad situation.
Guest chirs3 Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 Hey, this Hardy thing might actually work. If Matt's so cowardly he'd attack Jeff then jump brands... Yea, if they do this right, it might work. Wow, I've got a whole... two matches to watch on SD!.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 I do really hope that one of the writers comes up with a better Brock finish than "Heyman distracts, Brock smash, Brock win!" sometime soon. I'm getting rather bored of that one. Matt Hardy jumping ship...could be a good angle, particularly if Jeff still comes after Matt, trying to get a match out of him, but Matt uses the brand extension to dodge. And why on earth is anyone complaining about Benoit jobbing? He's facing the fricking world champion, the Rock, and he lost clean to the Rock's *finishing move*. First people bitch about Benoit being stuck in the midcard. Then people bitch about screwy match endings. Then people bitch about short matches. So, when Chris Benoit gets to wrestle the world champion in the lengthy main event of Smackdown, and the #1 man in the company defeats him clean, there's obviously something wrong here. Sigh. In a near repeat of last week, it looks like the tag matches involving Edge and Rey and the Mooricane/B&C business are the bright spots...but with a potentially kickin' main event, too. Tape goes in.
Guest Strike Force! Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 Wait..Benoit loses clean? Too bad it wasn't Triple H. *ducks* heh..hypocracy at it's finest. People don't want Lesnar to lose to Rikishi because he'll be champ in two weeks..but people want Rock to lose to Benoit while he is champ..hmm.. Hypocrisy abounds whenever the Canadian Workrate Chris Benoit is involved.
Guest Strike Force! Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 I don't see the need for the IC champ to lose clean. But it would be better for the World Champion to lose clean? Let's be honest, if the Canadian Moveset wasn't the IC champ, people wouldn't be calling for him to go over the World Champ clean, and you know it.
Guest bob_barron Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 Rock v. Benoit sounds like a good competitive match which makes Benoit look good. Smackdown! sounds like a really good show. NO JOHN CENA!!!!!!!
Guest Haku Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 Cool, Eddy and Chavo are teaming up. They should have a great match with Rey and Edge. Although I'd rather see Eddy in singles action
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 I sense that somebody doesn't like Chris Benoit...
Guest bob_barron Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 Well Strike Force doesn't watch for the wrestling, he watches for the angles
Guest Anglesault Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 I wish just once, someone would counter the damn spear. God, I HATE that move.
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 So Matt is a heel on RAW....but a face on SD? that sounds like it could be good.... If he jumps back and forth and is on every show....he'd be a floating tweener.... how odd...
Guest The Prodigy Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 is the eye of the hurricane the shining wizard?
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 The Eye of the Hurricane is Helms' spinning elbow drop across the neck of his standing opponent. Also known in some circles as the Final Cut.
Guest Raven_Effect01 Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 I don't think we should worry about Benoit jobbing to Rock though, at least this isn't as bad as him jobbing his first PPV match back to Bubba Dudley. Yeah, Benoit being booked to lose to Bubba Ray at Vengeance was inexcusable.
Guest Raven_Effect01 Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 I wish just once, someone would counter the damn spear. God, I HATE that move. Someone could always use the Guillotine Choke to counter The Spear ala the THQ/AKI wrestling video games.
Guest Zero_Cool Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 Hmm...if Edge came in for the spear, but the other guy leaped forward looking for a DDT, would the DDT look cool, or awkward? I may tape Benoit/Rock, because it's a lock to be ***.
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 most of my friends...when we mess around on gym mats.... take a DDT as if we were spearing the guy....so it could look okay
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 Well, shouldn't the IC champ (an upper-midcarder) lose clean to the fucking WORLD CHAMPION? Doesn't that make sense?
Guest deadbeater Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 I wish just once, someone would counter the damn spear. God, I HATE that move. Bret Hart did, Against Goldberg. Garbage lid stuffed down his chest.
