Guest Zack Malibu Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 In case you didn't catch it...this is a SPOILER for this week's Smackdown. Got it? Are you sure? OK, on with the post... With Matt Hardy's run-in on Smackdown, does anyone foresee some type of alliance between Hardy, Moore and Hurricane. Granted, Hardy "should" be a heel, and the fact that he makes the save for a babyface team will only serve to confuse fans. That, and the fact that if he's so po'd about his own brother holding him down, should he be worried about saving ANYBODY? Ah well, that's WWE logic. Anyhoo...anyone think that the save for Hurricane and Moore is leading to some type of "OMEGA reunion"? For those who don't know, OMEGA is the indy promotion that the Hardy's, Moore, Helms, and others such as Joey Abs of the Mean Street Posse competed in before making it to the major leagues. It might make for a nice stable and a good push for the Cruiserweight division, but the Matt Hardy situation as a whole still leaves me confused. Was the run-in just a Heyman "in-joke", or the basis for a new storyline/grouping?
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 I think Matt Hardy should be used above the Cruiser Weight belt.
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 as I stated.... maybe Mat can jump from SD to RAW every show and do heel things on RAW and face things on SD...making his allegiances seem confusing... He could be a good tweener character...hating his brother...yet wanting to see his peers (the cruisers) get some respect... maybe he thinks Jeff sold out or something
Guest Flyboy Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 I think it would be a new form of stable... Matt has more talent than Jeff. Moore and Helms both have talent, so a stable/group wouldn't be so bad. And they could bring back 3 Count.. because we know that 3 Count = ratings!
Guest Will Scarlet Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 Maybe they are going for the whole "Grey area" thing with Matt, where he dislikes Jeff for getting all the spotlight, but he is still friends with Hurricane and Helms. To the WWE's credit, the run in did make a bit of sense. It would be to Matt's favour to move to Smackdown because Bischoff paid no attention to him on Raw, so he went to Smackdown because Steph appreciates him. It makes sense to me.
Guest Zack Malibu Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 And they could bring back 3 Count.. because we know that 3 Count = ratings! Flyboy my man, I hope that wasn't sarcasm, because as a 3 Count fan, if you meant that statement wholeheartedly...heck, I respected ya before, but your over meter would shoot up IMO, lol. I even got to meet 'em all! Helms and Karagias kick ass and took pics w/ me and all, but Moore was kind of a dick...
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 1.......2......3! And-yes, 3-Count=Ratings!
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 I don't know about "3 Count" but I'd like to see a Small 3 Man Stable. Turn them all heels. Matt has his reasons, Helms can lose the "Hurricane" gimmick and shoot on it to turn him, and they can work on Moore or just have him there.
Guest Flyboy Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 Flyboy my man, I hope that wasn't sarcasm, because as a 3 Count fan, if you meant that statement wholeheartedly...heck, I respected ya before, but your over meter would shoot up IMO, lol. I even got to meet 'em all! Helms and Karagias kick ass and took pics w/ me and all, but Moore was kind of a dick... I was a huge mark for 3 Count... hell, I even 'met' Helms. He was a cool guy. "Everybody sing along with 3 Count!!"
Guest Will Scarlet Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 I agree. I loved 3 Count, and Matt would certainly be better than Evan was. I just wonder why Moore looks like Essa Rios now.
Guest Zack Malibu Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 I wouldn't have Helms drop the gimmick. He's more over than he ever was with it, and still gets great pops from the crowd. Plus he's more marketable. Wait till interest in him wains, THEN turn him. Or if you want to boost the gimmick, have him keep it, eventually turn both Matt and Shannon heel on him, turf him from the group, then have a blowoff where Hurricane wins.
Guest B-X Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 Moore isn't bad. I've met him twice, and he's always been friendly, just talking about HWA and his debut. Matt Hardy however, theres an asshole for ya.
Guest Brian Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 Fuck three count. Screw the Hardys split. This is all about Serial Thrillers vs. Hardys. I want my OMEGA.
Guest Flyboy Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 Fuck three count. Take it back, Brian! Take it back!
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 I agree. I loved 3 Count, and Matt would certainly be better than Evan was. I just wonder why Moore looks like Essa Rios now. But, just like Evan, he'd be the worst member of the group. I don't like either Hardy, so the farther they keep Matt away from Helms & Moore, the better. (the following is my conjecture): As for heel/face, he's going to be a heel. He's going to play like he's better than Helms & Moore, and that they "need" him to be successful.
Guest Brian Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 If you saw Matt's indy stuff, you'd probably like him. And that's why we need the Serial Thrillaz vs. Hardys love.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 Possibly. But we're stuck w/ WWE Matt Hardy.
Guest Brian Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 And he still works pretty decently all considered.
Guest BigTim2002 Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 For me to call Matt Hardy decent? That is when he loses the Yodelling Legdrop. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Guest dilk bathoon Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 or if they really wanted to tweak the hurricane gimmick, they could always turn him into a super-villan.
Guest BigTim2002 Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 Um, wouldn't he need a superhero to turn on? *looks down the list* Let's see here, Jericho, Angle... Oh...here's one. That Hogan character...
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 Goddamnit. This little thread was going nice and fine and you guys had to make it into a fruity 3Count discussion. Now fix it back to normal, damnit!
Guest Flyboy Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 What, JotW... You can't feel the 3 Count love?
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 Mat just needs to find some place where people can see that he isn't the same as Jefff... if people can look at him without saying "oh, aren't you Jefff's bro" then maybe we would all like his ringwork, etc better...but because most people look at him as the lesser Hardy... he has a good idea for his heel turn... that was the only part of his interview thing that made sense...
Guest Zack Malibu Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 Goddamnit. This little thread was going nice and fine and you guys had to make it into a fruity 3Count discussion. Now fix it back to normal, damnit! You're makin' fun of 3 Count, then you're makin' fun of all of us! Go back to losing matches to Rick Martel on Superstars, you...you...3 Count hating jobber, you!
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 oh...and I am totally a 3 Count mark... "Everybody 3 Count....1...2...3!!"

Guest SuperTonyJaymz Posted August 16, 2002 Report Posted August 16, 2002 I met Jimmy Yang once so... :Runs out, Super Spinning Back heel of the Front Karate Kicks(trademark Eric Bischoff) Zach, Rando, and Spiff. Gives lewd and obscene gesture to the 3, mocks their futile attempts at dancing, and runs away, the fearless ninja that he is:
