Guest TestKick Posted August 18, 2002 Report Posted August 18, 2002 First off, don't mistake me as a HHH fanboy that's just starting up trouble. I think the pic is hilarious, but I just want to make a point here, because the HHH hate garbage is uncalled for a lot of times. I fully agree that HHH is a huge reason why Chris Jericho is held down. HHH obviously has had some input into his continuous winning over him. But, Jericho has been on record as saying he accomplished everything in his career. If Jericho doesn't care, (and it seems like he doesn't, because in recent interviews Jericho is putting a lot more emphasis on his band then wrestling currently)why should any of us care? I can understand the sentiments of HHH holding down RVD, with the whole thing that starting January 7th RVD has gone nowhere... but there is no true evidence that HHH is to blame for that. HHH has never said anything negative about RVD, and they haven't done anything together on TV. Now, about Benoit and Guerrero, HHH has never done anything to hold them down. If I remember correctly, HHH jobbed for Benoit when he first came in the WWF. He also jobbed for him in the infamous tag match on Raw. There is no reason to say that he is holding down either Benoit or Eddy, and that is true.
Guest The Superstar Posted August 18, 2002 Report Posted August 18, 2002 Actually, he beat Benoit on that Smackdown.
Guest Shaved Bear Posted August 18, 2002 Report Posted August 18, 2002 you are the one and only Test mark in reference to your sig
Guest AndrewTS Posted August 18, 2002 Report Posted August 18, 2002 By the way...why in that banner is HHH's fly down?
Guest jester Posted August 18, 2002 Report Posted August 18, 2002 You're basing your complaint solely on people who blast HHH for the backstage stuff, which as many hhhaters haters point out, may not be true as we have only the dirt sheets as evidence. A lot of HHHaters do believe the backstage stuff. I myself find myself drawn to it, but I try to pull back because all I've got is rumor. Admittedly, I can't resist a joke about it from time to time. However, the thinking, serious, non-bandwagon hhhaters feel the way they do because of his in-ring work, which has been lousy since the comeback before last, and overdone promo time. HHH was holding the belt as a bland face while injured and looking like hell. And when he was rehabbing, we still got a lot of talk about HHH, he was written into angles (the NWO membership thing) when he wasn't frickin' there. A few hhhaters, including me, have said that we'll like HHH a lot more when he does good ring work, doesn't take up half the night in dumb little sketches. I have to admit that he probably will never be a favorite of mine, but there should hopefully be a point when I see his face and don't want to put an axe through my screen. So, there is a lot more substance to hhhating then people often acknowledge.
Guest Creepy Crawl Posted August 18, 2002 Report Posted August 18, 2002 Jester are you a David Carr fan ? Hes gonna be a good one I'm tellin ya . !
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted August 18, 2002 Report Posted August 18, 2002 Honestly, I've never liked Trips, even during his heel run in 2000. That being said, I'm tired of the same old ass, unfunny jokes repeated 8 million times verbatim throughtout this board. It was funny the first couple of weeks, btu afterwards, it seems like EVERYBODY wants to be trendy with this garbage. Sure, it's kinda toned down now aside from that shitty "Drinking Game" thread which has been about as pathetic as the last 80 of them in the past 3 months, but, FUCK... enough's enough already. I can understand if you don't like the fucking guy. Hell, I don't like him either, but it's getting fucking ridiculous with everyone trying to be like George fucking Carlin whenever Trips is brought up. And that, folks, is my rant for the night.

Guest Dangerous A Posted August 18, 2002 Report Posted August 18, 2002 All I'm gonna say is this: GOD BLESS ALWAYSPISSEDOFF! That rant was a thing of beauty.

So, there is a lot more substance to hhhating then people often acknowledge. This is true, as I was an HHH mark back when he was basically THE most fun to watch in the ring Main Eventer save for Angle (most of Austin's matches were punch and kick fests, of course). When he came back, though, he stunk. I thought that maybe Jericho was just being used carefully rather than rushed to a main event run. I thought things changed when Jericho was champ. Nope, nope. When the Hell in the Cell match was set up between HHH and Jericho, I thought this was going to be HHH showing his critics than the rumors were just rumors. Maybe Jericho would win a blowoff with HHH for once, since HHH ALWAYS won, although Jericho sorta-kinda got a win that didn't even count. He was going to do what Foley did, and put someone over in need of a rub. Foley made HHH a star. Although HHH wasn't going to retire--win or lose, it would allow Jericho to get some real credibility. Jericho lost. Adam West--aka Flyboy was online with me when that happened, and I immediately swore to him that I was now an HHHater. As if that wasn't enough...well, here's Tom Zenk's extremely accurate take: "Lance carries X-Game who sells like Dusty, even early on in the match. One perfectly timed superkick from Lance could have, should have dazed HHH? stunned HHH? put HHH out cold?........Nah! Rewind the tape and watch it over. Ask yourself...Who did all the flying in the ring? The top rope stuff or the over-the-top stuff? Who worked around whom? Who was more exciting? Who really needs a little "rub" from the top tier? Who had the perfect excuse to get beat? And what about HHH "taking one for the team…..” “leading by example...” if you weel. And so what, anyway, if HHH with the papier mache elbow and knee, loses tonight. It’s only 4 days ago that he went through "Hell in a Cell." After all HHH is human (maybe?)" Fuck you, Triple H.
Guest the 1inch punch Posted August 18, 2002 Report Posted August 18, 2002 Fuck you, Triple H. Testify
Guest I Hate Radio Shack Posted August 19, 2002 Report Posted August 19, 2002 I wasn't even reading ANYTHING on the internet other than Josh Grut and rajah's updates when I saw the HIAC match at a sports bar - and I was unaware of the HHHaters, or the internet backlash against him - but I pounded my table (and a drink) and screamed GODDAMN IT WILL HE EVER FUCKING LOSE CLEANLY??!?! THIS WAS SO FUCKING UNCALLED FOR - jericho's BACK TO SQUARE 1 I FUCING HATE HHH and then i came here - i found i wasn't alone and I thought i was the first
Guest Shadow Posted August 19, 2002 Report Posted August 19, 2002 As someone else said, Jericho does not have a work ethic for proffesional wrestling any longer. He seems far more interested, interview-wise, in his band. Jobbing in a HIAC match had nothing to do with Jericho's downfall. Jericho was killed as a legit contender when he needed the entire nWo to retain the Undisputed World Title against Steve Austin at No Way Out. THAT killed Jericho's credibility once and for all, and that was pre-HHH. As others have mentioned, it's one thing for Jericho to cheat himself with somewhat interference, but this was the nWo beating the shit out of Austin after Austin beat the shit out of Jericho. The nWo practically put Jericho on top for the pin, and this sent a pretty clear message to the WWE fanbase: "Jericho sucks, he did not have a chance in hell of beating Austin." This was all pre-HHH, for those of you who forget. -Shadow
Guest RicFlairGlory Posted August 19, 2002 Report Posted August 19, 2002 But if he was booked to look even a LITTLE bit stronger against Triple H, dont you think that he would have gained the rub back? Austin was the spark Triple H was the fire
Guest Respect The 'Taker Posted August 19, 2002 Report Posted August 19, 2002 Speaking of sigs...wanna have your name posted everywhere a popular poster goes? Easy, just kiss Shaved Bear's ass and he'll put you in there... Hey, i had to get over somehow... This has been the Taker Mark
Guest Dr. Wrestlingphysics Posted August 19, 2002 Report Posted August 19, 2002 I don't really want to re-ignite the thread, but Shadow claims the No Way Out Austin match with nWo run-in was before HHH, No Way Out was in February, HHH returned in January. Jericho's credibility was being destroyed before he "officially" feuded with HHH before the 'Mania match, but as soon as HHH won the Rumble, he was set up to feud with Jericho, so saying that No Way Out and Jericho cheap wins and being made to look stupid was "before HHH" is plain wrong.
Guest alfdogg Posted August 19, 2002 Report Posted August 19, 2002 I just didn't want to have to say it.

I enjoyed the Wrestlemania match but regardless of what happened at NWO, they could've built up Jericho instead of making him Stephanie's bitch
