Guest DVDVR_Phil Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 God this show drains your soul. What Worked -I really hate the 24 hour rule, but 24 Hour Party People really ruled. Even if you aren’t a fan of Manchester Dance music, the movie is well worth seeing, and I really wish I was British and around in the late 70’s so I could be Tony Wilson. Nice lariat by Bradshaw. -That six man was fast moving enough and perfectly acceptable wrestling. It is kind of sad, but since they have jumped Test looks better in the ring then Lance Storm, they really need to find whatever Osaka whorehouse Yuji Yasuraoka is bouncing at, and get him to come back to carry Storms useless ass in some more tag matches. Goldust is one of the few guys left on this show I like to watch in the ring, but they didn’t give him much to do here. -The main event brawl was decent, although not nearly as good as Rock’s matches with Beniot and Eddie. Rock’s punches looked good although everything else in that match was kind of sloppy, it had some energy and heat though. I didn’t hate it. What Didn’t Work -That first hour was about the worst non-Russo hour of wrestling I have seen in a long time. The second hour wasn’t much better. Jesus what an endless bag of crap, I know you all depend on me to make the comedy jokes about the RAW, but I can’t take it. Can’t I switch to Heat, that at least has Shelton Benjamin on it? But fuck mud matches and Bishoff and endless HHH chatfest and shitty Trixter cover bands playing hair metal, and fucking Paul Wight. God Kane is coming back too, LET ME FREE I CANT TAKE IT. I mean I am really digging how good Smackdown has gotten, and it is cool that they have focused 95% of the turds in the WWE on one show, but I have to watch that awful show. GOD DAMMIT WHY??
