Guest Trivia247 Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 asides it being 3 Canadian wrestlers why can't it be more inclusive of those other groups and nationalities currently in the WWF? Think of da possibiltiies... Lance Christian Test Funaki Tajiri Chavo Guerrero Tiger Ali Singh Rehire Kurrigan so he can job to the Big Show Mike Awesome the WCW transplant Canadian lol just seems it could be more of a group beyond three canadian guys.
Guest Anglesault Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 First things First, Dump Test. Secondly, Tiger is Canadian.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 Adding one too many guys can take away the "Specialness" of the group. See: nWo I like just the Three of them right now.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 Actually, I was thinking an American superstar joins the Un-Americans. That's what should happen. If the Un-Americans were still on Smackdown, I would say have Angle join them. Since that's not the case, I say the WWE should have the Undertaker join the Un-Americans the RAW after SummerSlam, and say that he has seen the light, and has seen what America is really like. Something to that degree anyways.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 Can't they just call them the Anti-Americans? I mean, anyone who isn't a citizen is Un-American. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest Anglesault Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 Then they couls split the UA into two Teams. Good team: Lance and Christian (Which honestly sounds gayer than Billy and Chuck) and Steaming pile of Horseshit: Taker and Test
Guest DrTom Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 Can't they just call them the Anti-Americans? I mean, anyone who isn't a citizen is Un-American. That's my problem with the name. "Anti-Americans" conveys their supposed hatred of America and what it stands for much better. Technically, anyone not living on North or South America is an "Un-American," and interestingly, that excludes Canadians from the mix.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 Dear Vince, The 80s called The want their stupid patroitic gimmicks back. Sincerely, JotW
Guest AndrewTS Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 Four wrestlers, and no more. Although Test is practically a valet at this point.
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 I think Regal and Nowinski could join. They could really liven it up, take away the suckiness factor, and make it more than just 3 Canadians.
Guest Human Fly Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 Tiger Ali Singh He should never be on TV again. Is he still employed?
Guest art_vandelay Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 Chavo is American as well. While they're at it, get a secret Un-American ref (Jimmy Cordaris) like Nick Patrick with the nWo. Oh, and a secret Un-American booker (Patterson) who always books them to win. And since Kane was born in Madrid, he should join too.
Guest Olympic Slam Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 Adding Regal would be the best because he brings a real international gimmick to the group. He also hails from a place that has a minor historical grudge against America. Let's face it, Canadians aren't exactly compelling. With the exception of Lance, who actually makes it known that he lives in Canada and actually believes in its customs. Unlike Edge, Christian, Jericho, Val, and I believe Test who have all left for for the U.S.
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 Unfortunately, I get the feeling that this angle may be killed off after Sunday. It's pretty much a given that Test is losing, and after Christian pinned Goldust, he and Lance may lose as well (WWE Booking Logic). Also, the 1st anniversary of 9/11 is approaching. Of course, I may be wrong.
Guest TestKick Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 Like I said from the start, add Angle to the UnAmericans. Insane heel heat right there. Four wrestlers, and no more. Although Test is practically a valet at this point. I take it you didn't watch the 6-man on Raw, because Test worked quite well in that match. Anglesault: I hate Test comment #34234231423421342314 I know you despise Test, but every stable needs a big man to play the enforcer... especially with Lance & Christian, because they had been booked like total jobbers for months beforehand. Test fits the role perfectly.
Guest razazteca Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 Chavo maybe from El Paso Texas, but in the eyes of WWE executives/writers he is just a Mexican. I think Val Venis should be the next Canadian to join, Regal should be the voice of the stable, and I would like to see Tajiri on Raw.
Guest Anglesault Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 Like I said from the start, add Angle to the UnAmericans. Insane heel heat right there. Test fits the role perfectly. No. Don't add Angle to that blackhole. As for a big man MUST be in a stable, I don't agree one bit. No big man in DX. The Horsemen usually had no one huge. And if you REALLy needa big man, bail Vader out of Jail and send him out there. Even now he must be better than Test.
Guest TestKick Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 Test is the best big man in the sport today, there's no use debating it. That's not opinion it is fact. Lance & Christian do need a big man in the stable, because nobody takes them seriously.
Guest Anglesault Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 Yeah, test and his one watchable match every year and a half RULEZ~! More than say, Mike Awesome! And they don't need a big man, they need someone credible. A Main Eventer who doesn't suck.
Guest Ram Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 As much as I like Christian and Storm getting air time, I don't really like the UnAmerican gimmick. It's such a cheap heat ploy. Albert would get heat for that, for God's sake. ALBERT. Earn the heat, or your heat won't last beyond comments against a country.
Guest TestKick Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 Test is not getting cheat heat. Did you hear his mic work on Raw? Good stuff... the man is getting over on his own. STOP MAKING UP EXCUSES AS TO WHY TEST ISN'T OVER!
Guest Anglesault Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 His mic work was HORRID on Raw and he was HEATLESS! There was a "Test still works here?" sign!
Guest the pinjockey Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 Test is the best big man in the sport today, there's no use debating it. That's not opinion it is fact. Well I guess since it's a fact then you win the debate. How can you possibly say that is a FACT? And everybody I watched with started laughing as soon as Test started talking. So I agree that Test does in fact get a reaction.
Guest Kid Kablam Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 Dear Vince, The 80s called The want their stupid patroitic gimmicks back. Sincerely, JotW Dear Jobber of the week the 80s called, they want their retort back Sincerely Kid Kablam
Guest Ram Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 I didn't even mention Test, dude. But my point still stands. As soon as the gimmick is dropped, the heat will fall further and further away from all three guys. Fans don't hate them for their actions, wrestling, or who they are. They hate them for hating America. As soon as that's gone, there really won't be any reason to hate them.
Guest notJames Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 Can't they just call them the Anti-Americans? I mean, anyone who isn't a citizen is Un-American. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge Technically, that would be a non-American, as in non-citizen. Un- carries a more negative connotation. And yes, Anti-American would suit them much better, although I don't see the group lasting too much longer, what with Sept. 11 coming soon and Lance Storm's apparent unease with the gimmick. That said, I hope they keep the tag belts on Sunday. And keep them a threesome. Adding someone like Regal would draw all the heat away from the guys who really need it (Lance, Christian),
Guest AndrewTS Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 TestKick: I wasn't putting down your bizarre praise of Test, but he was in a couple big tag matches where he only had a few minutes of ring time. Before that, he had a non-match with Slaughter. Before that, I don't remember him having an actual match in a long, long time.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 IMO, if they add anybody, it shouldn't be Angle because that pretty much destroys his gimmick right off the bat(delusional American hero). Like others have said before, Regal would be a good fit, but I'd lean more towards Chavo and use him to get the cruiserweight title from Rey after he wins it.
Guest The Hollywood Fashion Plate Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 Why should anyone care about the UnAms and 9/11? WWE doesn't have a show scheduled for that day, and as long as they dont go too hard on Bush that week in their promos they'll be fine IMO.
Guest gwf0704 Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 The big man in the group sounds cool but they could easily replace Mike Awesome for Test. But the group would be so much bettter with Storm, Christian and Benoit being the focal group. And if you really need to add a hispanic to the group it would be Rey Misterion Jr. as he was born in Mexico where Eddie and Chavo were born in El Paso, TX. Top it off with Regal and you have a very respectful foursome, though Christian still is the weak link in that foursome. Maybe have Storm, Benoit, Regal and Edge and you have something!
