Guest bcu1979 Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 I know there's already a couple topics on Kane staying on RAW and Lesnar moving to Smackdown, but this doesn't really fit in any of those topics. It's interesting that just a couple days ago Meltzer was reporting that Kane was most likely heading to Smackdown and that the WWE had even released Smackdown house show cards with Kane facing Kurt Angle. He also reported that Triple H and Undertaker were the most likely candidates to face Lesnar at Unforgiven. All of a sudden, they change plans and Kane's on RAW to feud with the UnAmericans. The WWE changes plans all the time so this is not necessarily a big deal. But then instead of RVD moving over to SD, it's Lesnar moving over to SD with the Undisputed title. Assuming things stay as they are, this means that as long as Lesnar is the champ, he won't appear on RAW and he won't have to wrestle any RAW competitors on PPV. Meaning that there's no way he can face either Triple H or Undertaker during his title reign, which also means that neither Triple H nor Undertaker will have to put over Brock Lesnar. If this is the case, Lesnar won't be given victories over anyone higher on the totem pole than Edge, Chris Benoit and uh....possibly Angle. Although Angle would be my guess to defeat him for the belt. Taker and Triple H on the other hand can run RAW and continue to bury Jericho, Booker, RVD, the UnAmericans and anyone else who is a potential threat to their spot. They did a great job of cutting Lesnar off at the knees last night, before he ran off to SD. It also means that there's a chance that Bischoff will create his own World Champion so the title will no longer be undisputed. And guess who gets buried again? Jericho, of course. Since the one thing he had going for him was that he was always going to be the first undisputed champ and a hundred straight losses could not take that way. Now, if they go and split the belts again, then any honor that goes with unifying the belts in the first place pretty much gets thrown out the window. And it's pretty obvious who would end up unifying the belts the next time. I must admit that it's a brilliant plan. Triple H and Taker get to be the top stars, get to complain that the champ ran from them and they get to stay "locker room leaders" by having a "legitimate" reason not to put over Lesnar. Meanwhile, all the other young talent on SD are the ones who get sacrificed to try and keep Lesnar over since none of the real top guys will put him over. I'd like to believe this is not the direction or intention of the WWE, but it's hard to call it a coincidence after everything that's happened in the last couple years.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 If you dont see where this is going, I feel sorry for you..
Guest art_vandelay Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 Lesnar can still face Raw stars at PPV's. Triple H is the no. 1 contender right now and will probably face Lesnar at Unforgiven.
Guest bravesfan Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 Steph DID insinuate that the ME of Raw meant shit in Brock's case AND that Trips' #1 Contendership is null and void "in Smackdown's eyes". This is further vouched by the promo by Lesnar earlier in the night that he didn't care who won the match...eh?

Though I'm sure Triple H will have something to say about it.
Guest Flyboy Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 All this is doing is giving the RAW brand more reason to get their own World Title and World Champ, in my views. Hunter will be pissed next week.... oh boy.
Guest razazteca Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 well RVD is the undisputed 2nd Tier champ now that there are only 2 singles titles under the Federat....er WWE title. So maybe RVD will get the chance to be the True Undisputed Champ as he unifies all the WWE belts. Maybe they plan to make RVDs title reign as IC champ the same as his ECW TV reign as he takes on all challengers while holding on to the title for several months, until the eventually unification......RVD the W*Crown Champ
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 Hmm. RAW has Tag and IC Titles with the Women's Title floating (I bet Bischoff convinces Molly to be RAW only, not that it matters any.) Smackdown has The Undisputed Title, Cruiserweight title and the floating Women's Title. Thats pretty good distribution in my opinion, but its still obvious that this is headed towards Bischoff getting pissed and breaking RAW away from the WWE and calling it WCW and then having a WCW title Tourney.
Guest razazteca Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 its getting closer ever week to becoming WCW as Bischoff called "his" show Monday Night Raw. Raw has already had a music act featured in the late segments, moved the announcers away from the ring and women running strip teasing....Ms Handcock Keibler.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 azteca's right, Raw is practicaly Nitro anyway. When was the last time the ME had a finish? Now all we need is an hour of crusierweights in front of an empty arena. and possibly Hogan in some form...
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 If you dont see where this is going, I feel sorry for you.. You mean Triple H defeating RVD for the "Multi-Crown" Undisputed Heavy Weight Intercontinental Championship?
Guest deadbeater Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 Molly will remind Bisch of that "Nobody cares about women's wrestling" crack, and Jerry Lawler calling her rival "puppies", shaming him into making her match the main event. The move restriction is forever lifted, and she rewards his decision with a Match of the Year candidate.
