Guest Strike Force! Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 What a bunch of garbage. I don't really buy into all the internet HHH hating, but the guy bores me, and I'm really tired of seeing him in the Main Event. And that Jericho/Jeff Hardy match was about ten minutes too long.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 Like I said, I thought it sucked because I was sick, but after recouping overnight and rewatching it, I realized that last night was probably the worst RAW a long long time. The first two matches (Booker vs Christian and the Tag match) were OK for RAW matches in the first hour.. The Jericho/Hardy match was just too long and boring, the finish (Jericho not breaking the Walls of Jericho) could have happened at 5:48 instead of 10:48... The whole Jimmy Snuka thing pissed me off too. I liked RVD vs Dreamer, but you know from the start that RVD isn't going to lose to Dreamer, so why even bother? I don't even want to get started on Lilian vs Fink.. The Main event was better than SK gave it credit for, but it still sucked. I was surprised that HHH won, and it didnt make any sense why Lesnar interfered after everything was said and done.
Guest Strike Force! Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 Here's another thing: Am I the only one who is sick and tired of the whole "Bischoff & Steph Trying to OUtsmart Each Other" angle?? Man, NOBODY CARES!! Why, why should we care whether a guy is on Smackdown or Raw. In 20-plus years of watching wrestling, this may be the worst angle I've ever seen. The brand extension was a bad idea. I can't believe they ended Raw with that segment, like our jaws are supposed to drop to the floor because the Undisputed Champion is NOW EXCLUSIVE TO SMACKDOWN!...nobody cares. What a mess.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 I disagree there. Bischoff is still entertaining & when he "out-smarts" Steph he does it with great fashion. Steph just comes off lame. And, I'm not a Steph "hater" either. The whole thing with Lesnar not being on RAW pisses me off! If he wasn't Champion, then I wouldn't give two shits where he went. But, since he is the champ, he should be on both shows. Period~!
Guest ISportsFan Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 The ONLY possible good that might come out of this is COMPLETE seperation of the brands. That is, one world title for each brand, one secondary title, and the cruisers on Smackdown. By the way, the brand seperation is great, because we get to see cruiserweights that we wouldn't normally get to, Bischoff, and tons of other great stuff. Jason
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 The roster split was a good idea. The execution of it, however, leaves something to be desired.
Guest Strike Force! Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 Ok, keep the brand extension.... But don't have the two brands feuding with each other. I don't care which show the wrestlers are on.
Guest humongous2002 Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 The only good thing about last night was RVD unifying the IC and Hardcore titles, everything else was crap and HHH has no business getting a title shot. HBK with a fucked back could still run circles around the Lame.
Guest AndrewTS Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 I was surprised that HHH won... Why? The guy jobbed to his friend last night, so he needs to "get back his heat." The only shocking part was that he didn't do it cleanly. Of course, both Taker and HHH punk out the new champ. The Talk Zone also had him looking like a third wheel until the brawl broke out, and Taker repeatedly kicking Lesnar in the head as he did the "Goldberg twitch looked terrible. I hated that Lesnar dogged on the Main Event interference, too. I was hoping he'd end the match sooner, since it was horribly sucking. However, I think it was only the second worst "match" of the night--good thing for Lil and Fink, eh, guys? And while I find Bischoff entertaining, they don't seem to want to grasp that the angle is to get the wrestlers over, and not the figurehead GMs (well, we know Steph isn't a figurehead, but to marks they're supposed to both have power).
Guest HartFan86 Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 Kane's return, Dreamer/RVD, & Hardy/Jericho were the only decent things on Raw. Everything else was terrible.
Guest deadbeater Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 Spike finally gets to eat Molly, but it was too late for the relationship; besides she didn't like it at all. Such is life.
Guest Ram Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 I enjoyed it a lot more than I usually do. Probably because I wasn't reading and making snide comments during it. It wasn't a great wrestling show, but a fine recap WWEntertainment Tonight. Everything was good for me up until the main event. I REALLY wanted to get into new heel, shaved HHH, but I kept falling asleep so I changed the channel.
Guest Quik Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 Again, the difference is quite simple: Eric Bischoff is on-air talent who's job, and best ability, is to entertain the fans. Steph is Vince's daughter. She got a job becuase she's Vince's daughter. She can't book, nor can she act. She has no business being on TV in any capacity other than valet. Has anyone noticed that when Bsch outsmarts Steph, he actually does it in some spectacular fasion? When Steph "outsmarts" Bischoff, it's always because she paid someone BIsch built up a large amount of money. WWE TV is so bad right now, it's like watching WCW acting.
Guest Raven_Effect01 Posted August 27, 2002 Report Posted August 27, 2002 WWE TV is so bad right now, it's like watching WCW acting. With McNepotism added to it.
