Austin Files for Divorce

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin has filed for divorce from his wife Debra. LexisNexis.com, a research tool for lawyers, lists the divorce case as 2002CI10602 for the 288th District Court in Bexar County, Texas.

 

Austin apparently filed for the divorce on July 22nd and the case is pending.

 

This is the latest in what has become a wild story involving Steve Austin. Austin walked out on WWE in June and was then removed from WWE's active roster. On June 15th he apparently beat his wife Debra, however, she did not press charges (despite calling the police). Bexar County then decided to go after Steve Austin anyway, and sent out a warrant for his arrest on August 12th. Austin then turned himself in the next day, but posted the $5000 bond.

Better yet, have her pop up on NWA - TNA and have her walk out with Jeff Jarrett. I know she's still under WWE contract, so it won't be happening, but that would still make me laugh for some reason.

I would have thought Debra would have been the one to file for divorce but I guess not. I couldn't really see that relationship lasting forever anyway as they seem to be exact opposites.

Too bad Austin's life is going down faster than the Titanic. He walks out on his job, drinks a beer, hits his wife, drinks more beer, runs from the police, drinks another beer, gets arrested, drinks some more beer, and now files for divorce. This either sounds like a bad country song or a scenrio you see on Cops.
