Would you want Jesse Ventura back

When Jesse was on Larry King Live he was asked if he considers a return to pro wrestling. He said that the only way he could imagine a return would be behind the microfone. Now, I remember him as an awesome true heel commentator back in the day. Seeing as WWE is seriously lacking someone like that (Lawler is a joke and Tazz is more of a tweener), would you want him back?

I wouldn't mind Ventura coming back, but the problem is he would probably replace Tazz when its Lawler who he should replace. Especially considering the chemistry JR and Jess had in WCW.

I'd also like him as a replacement for Lawler, not for Tazz. Tazz isn't so bad and is getting better. Lawler is just getting worse. Michael Cole and Jesse would be a weird combination, JR and Jesse = great.

Jerry Lawler MCs a bikini contest. Bischoff comes out and says "You know I love T & A just as much as the next guy, but you, Lawler, have given me a verrrrry unpleasant three minutes.

 

Then Jamal and Rosie beat the crap out of Lawler and Eric says "And now, your new color commentator, former governor and fellow AWA star, Jesse Ventura!" Now Jesse is an established heel.

Hell yeah, I would. I don't asociate Jesse with Gorilla as strongly as other people...in fact, I associate him more with Vince than anyone else, since he was Jesse's partner on Superstars, and Gorilla with Bobby Heenan.

 

Get rid of Lawler and plug Jesse into RAW.

It'd be great to have a true heel color guy that can get the heels over and explain the importance of moves. Watching old Wrestlemania tapes he put moves like a bearhug over b/c he explained how it wears the opponent down and such.

 

All Lawler does is scream about puppies. And it's really disturbing to see aan old man lusting after some girl that's the same age as me. He's just an embrassment. Hell he doesn't even pay attention to the matches anymore.

I would love to see him & JR announce together again. They were pretty good together back in WCW.

 

Plus, Jesse was the first to suggest Jim Ross change his name to "J.R." at Superbrawl II. Jesse called it years before Vince did.

I'm 100% for it. A good commentary man can make matches seem better than they are. Venture is a good commentator. Lawler's contribution is to throw random fat jokes out there and squeal "puppies" like a 12 year old who hasn't actually seen a pair before (BTW "puppies" is a really stupid fuggin term for "breasts").

 

He doesn't sound like he even notices there are matches on anymore (though when they have a ring announcer match, it's hard to blame him on that front).

 

Jesse always commented on the MATCH, from Superstar vs. Obvious Jobber to the the main event. If Ventura replaced Lawler, I'd love it.

Ventura is undoubtedly THE best color commentator, Heenan however was the most fun.

Everyone is better than Lawler at this point.
