- Series Match: Eddie Guerrero def. Edge with the frogsplash (Eddie advances)

 

- Steph announces Rikishi as the next man in line in the elimination series. He will face Eddie Guerrero.

 

- D-Von def. John Cena with inverted DDT

 

- Rey Mysterio def. Rico with West Coast Pop

 

- Mark Loyd interviews Rikishi. Eddie interrupts and they argue.

 

- Series Match: Rikishi def. Eddie Guerrero with superkick. Benoit comes down and he & Guerrero attack Rikishi after the match and Edge comes in to make the save. (Rikishi advances)

 

- Steph informs Benoit he is the next wrestler in line to face Rikishi in the elimination series to determine #1 contender.

 

- Shannon Moore def. Tajiri with roll-up.

 

- Series Match: Chris Benoit def. Rikishi with Crossface submission. (Benoit advances)

 

- Mark Loyd interviews Kurt Angle. Angle announces he will face Benoit in the final Elimination match to determine #1 Contender

 

- Funaki interviews Paul Heyman. Matt Hardy walks up says he will defeat Brock and says WWE is not about attitude anymore but rather "Mattitude". Heyman says Matt is asking for a death wish.

 

- Brock Lesnar def. Matt Hardy in a non-title match with the F5

 

- Steph talks with Dawn Marie and announces SD main event will be Angle vs. Benoit vs. mystery RAW defector for #1 Contender for Undisputed Title. She tells Dawn to make sure Eric Bischoff is watching.

 

- Steph announces Undertaker as the RAW defector and the newest addition to Smackdown.

When I saw mystery RAW opponent, I was thinking RVD was gone. Luckily it's just Taker but still......who does this leave on RAW? Something needs to be done, they either need to elevate some people on RAW (who, most of them suck) or take someone from Smackdown......

Well, I credit the WWE for giving more match time to matches like Eddy/Edge, Rey/Rico/, and Moore/Tajiri than to crap fests like D-Von/Cena, Brock/Hardy, and Rikishi/Benoit. A small step in the right direction. Plus, Rico gets a match on Smackdown. That is as positive as I could be.

well, i'm not to optimistic about this show.

 

We have Brock Lesnar who looked really strong at the PPV wrestling Matt "two Ts" Hardy, who seems to be a joke only the WWE finds funny. Why does the WWE do this. Jericho won the undisputed Title and he ended up wrestling Maven and the like, Taker ended up messing around with Dreamer, and now this. Why have Lesnar wrestle at all? why not have him just stand and grunt? he's OK at that.

 

Yeah, the "West Coast Pop" is the horrible name for the the hurricanrana.

A lot of people, including myself, were furious that 'Taker got the title shot. The debate was getting heated, and it went off subject when some Hogan mark was saying that RVD shouldn't get the belt, then it went even more off subject when people started talking about Hogan's title run. Then it got into the failure of the nWo, there may have been more, I'm not sure.

My point was why did the WWE finally put Eddy over Edge and then on the same night have him job to that fat worthless peice of crap Rikishi. I understand that they didn't wan to Have Beniot VS Eddy but they could have have had something like Edge costing him the match rather that fat worthless peice of crap going over clean. Hell would have even preferred someone like Mysterio getting an upset win.
