Guest MrRant Posted September 3, 2002 Report Posted September 3, 2002 With all the Nitro reference's and the return of the holy belt... please rename RAW to Nitro and rename the show WCW Nitro. Its been almost 2 years now and its like 2 weeks without smack.

Tease it, tease it, tease it, THEN unload. They've been forshadowing it from day 1. (Shane's Warning) Also, maybe RAW has more marquee names because Goldberg or Austin is coming back and going to RAW?

This would then set up Vince's return to beat Bischoff and take his company back, which you know will happen anyway.

I mean, if he gtes rid of Bischoff, what's next? Triple H turns on him and he and Steph run SmackDown?

Also, have Steiner and Goldberg debut that night as well. Then have Vince come back, build up a feud with Bischoff til Mania (Depends on the Ratings..if they bomb, blow it off at Mania...if it works, hell, have it go til Mania 20 at MSG. That'd be awesome. The official blow off of WCW vs. WWF, Vince beats Bischoff in MSG.)...Vince wins, Bischoff gone, Nitro gone, WCW gone for good, Steiner/Goldberg in the company, Money Made BTW, on the Raw after Mania, it can offically be the 500th Raw and they can celebrate and stuff. *wakes up* Oh yeah, that would actually be a good idea. We wouldn't want that to happen.

Hell, if they brought back WCW for like over a year, they could actually put the video footage to good use and have Videos for sale.

The WCW/Nitro brand has long had suck heat with WWE fans thanks to years of their very own branding power. With their hold on their audience as tenuous as it is probably not a good idea to stir the pot that way.

I honestly thought the Raw set always looked WCW-ey when it debuted in April. Even the nameplates and CG all look Nitro-ish. They could just get rid of all the Raw logos and come up with a new Nitro logo and leave it at that. Oh yeah, and the WCW ring was just too small.

You'd just be having Nitro Lingerie Pillow Fight matches instead of Raw ones. I don't see the point when they could be spending time on actually developing talent and presenting, y'know, wrestling.

Guest DJ Jeff Posted September 4, 2002 Report Posted September 4, 2002 Actually, I hope that for the 500th episode of RAW, Bischoff starts off by saying screw the WWE, screw RAW, welcome to WCW Nitro. Of course, for this to work, they would have to have the RAW set still, just for the ring aprons, change them to say Nitro, and change all the WWE logos to WCW logos. This would be the best way to end the split in my opinion.
