Guest chirs3 Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 Yea. I'm gonna try to start avoiding actual spoilers, so if anyone can just say what matches are on, and who gets a segment where, that'd be neato.
Guest ISportsFan Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 Smackdown: Lesnar v. Hardcore Holly Guerreros v. Cena/Edge Rey Mysterio v. Kurt Angle Rikishi v. Chris Benoit The Wedding Undertaker v. Matt Hardy Velocity/Dark matches: Michael Shane/Bull Buchanan v. Sean O'Haire/Lenny Lane Noble/Tajiri v. Crash/Hurricane Moore v. D-Von Albert v. Funaki Horace Hogan v. Val Venis Jason
Guest chirs3 Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 Lesnar v. Hardcore Holly - No thank you. Guerreros v. Cena/Edge - Maybe, but Cena better not talk. Rey Mysterio v. Kurt Angle - Ooh! Yes! A good match! Rikishi v. Chris Benoit - Eh... heh... joking, right? The Wedding - I'll watch solely to see how stupid it gets... maybe time how long it takes for the crowd to turn on it. Undertaker v. Matt Hardy - ... WHY?!
Guest Mik at Cornell Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 chirs3, i'm not gonna spoil anything for you, but you're gonna watch the wedding for a different reason than that...probably because it's the coolest thing they've done on tv all year. Rare stroke of genius in the booking...
Guest chirs3 Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 ... this is a trick, isn't it?
Guest ISportsFan Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 No, it isn't. From the spoiler, without spoiling, it's really cool looking. Of course, not for any reason you would expect... Jason
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 Michael Shane/Bull Buchanan v. Sean O'Haire/Lenny Lane Noble/Tajiri v. Crash/Hurricane Moore v. D-Von Albert v. Funaki Horace Hogan v. Val Venis These *can't* be correct. Lenny Lane hasn't been signed by the WWE. Why would Crash team w/ Hurricane. And Venis is still hurt.
Guest snowfan Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 Michael Shane/Bull Buchanan v. Sean O'Haire/Lenny Lane Noble/Tajiri v. Crash/Hurricane Moore v. D-Von Albert v. Funaki Horace Hogan v. Val Venis These *can't* be correct. Lenny Lane hasn't been signed by the WWE. Why would Crash team w/ Hurricane. And Venis is still hurt. Well then Meltzer, Keller, and company are ALL wrong....
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 It just doesn't sound right. If WWE signed Lane, I'm sure we would have heard of that by now. And Crash beat Hurricane last week. Why would they team up this week? And Venis dropped weghts on his head not too long ago, screwing up his neck a bit. I can't believe he's back already.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 But Crash and Hurricane did the whole handshake deal after the match...so everything's ok now. And can we go one week without Rikishi's ass on my tv!
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 Oh, that's right. I try to purge all Crash Holly memories from my brain.
Guest snowfan Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 But Crash and Hurricane did the whole handshake deal after the match...so everything's ok now. And can we go one week without Rikishi's ass on my tv! No because Rikishi's asscrack is a "money" angle...
Guest TheArchiteck Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 Undertaker and Matt? Urgh. Main event are really mixmatched. I guess the WWE title don't mean shit...since that match is so early on.
Guest nikowwf Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 The Lenny lane match is a dark match and not an NWA match. And most NWA employees are not under exclusive or long term contracts. So an NWA wrestler (except for a few) could easily be on NWA Wednesday and go to WWE the next Monday. And the show looks better in the spoilers than it does just looking at the matches and the wedding. I won't say anything except that I feel its worth watching. Niko
Guest Downhome Posted September 11, 2002 Report Posted September 11, 2002 I can not believe some of you are saying the wedding looks "cool". I don't want to hear a spoiler, but I can not think of ANY way that it could end up being cool in the least.

I don't want to hear a spoiler, but I can not think of ANY way that it could end up being cool in the least. And that's why you need to watch. Don't worry, we'll still be here Thursday night when you've changed your mind.
Guest art_vandelay Posted September 12, 2002 Report Posted September 12, 2002 I bet Benoit and Angle separate Billy & Chuck with German suplexes each just as they are about to kiss if people on this board like it. Or even better, the two are about to wed when suddenly: TIME TO PLAY THE GAME~!!! Triple H comes out and shows a clip of him in a convertable with an unconscious Chuck Palumbo at a Las Vegas drive-thru wedding window.

That quote was so funny, that there isn't even a word in existance to describe it, so I'll make one up right NOW... ...ok, I'll cut the SNL parody crap. Seriously though, thanks for the laugh, I'm still cracking up as I write this!
