Making a superstar at Survivor Series

Recommended Posts

At this moment, the WWE has two stars who are ready to break through the glass ceiling: RVD and Booker T

Who should main event Survivor Series, RVD or Booker T?

Both wrestlers are equally popular. Who gets the rub?

And more importantly, who will (or should) be the opponent? Lesnar? HHH? Undertaker?

As past events have shown, Madison Square Garden makes new superstars.

Who will be this year's new superstar, RVD or Booker T? (assuming WWE gets its sh*t together)

Out of RVD and Booker T, I'd like to see RVD get the push at the Survivor Series. Actually, it would be good to see both get somewhat of a push, but since I have to pick one, I'll go with RVD. Lesnar© vs. RVD at the Survivor Series, for the WWE Title. Hey, if RVD wins the World Title at Unforgiven, it could be a match to unify both the WWE and World Titles.

RVD.

My eyes have seen Booker vs. Taker, Brock and HHH...

And they do not want to see them again.

I use those three becuase they are the main eventers at this point.

They've always seemed pretty incapable of it.

I'd like to see RVD beat HHH for the RAW Title at Survivor Series, and then maybe they can build to a battle of the Champions with RVD and Brock at Wrestlemania.

Man...

Replace Brock with Angle...

and have them meet at Mania...

and you have the exact thing I want at Mania.

I assume they may bring the traditional elimination matches back for at least one or two matches. I figured Kane/Bradshaw/Booker/Goldust vs. UnAmericans & Regal (is he actually in the group now, since I missed some of Monday and haven't watched it yet). would be one of the matches. Replace Bradshaw with, well...anybody but Bradshaw and that's a decent match that the crowd could be really into. And Booker could win it all and be the sole survivor, THEN go onto his solo push, a la Rock in 1996.

Survivor Series seems too far away for this feud to carried over to, at least in terms of the current type of booking we have become accustomed to.

Something DRAMATIC has to happen for the Un-Americans to sustain heat until that point. Ideas are adding a few disgruntled heels (Jericho, Benoit)

while trying to find the final spot for the Americans (Edge? Cena?).

If this isn't the best time to resurrect WARGAMES to blow off a possibly great feud, then I don't know what is....

...Regal (is he actually in the group now, since I missed some of Monday and haven't watched it yet)

Indeed he is. In the match between Test/Regal and Bookdust, the heels were introduced as the "Un-Americans", with Regal sporting the stable's t-shirt.

for a start there is two PPV's to go before survivor series and RVD will likely be back in the midcard by then (nobody bar an experienced headliner goes toe to toe with HHH for more than two months)

(Rock - WM2000-KOTR2000, Austin Survivor Series 2000 - No Way Out 2001)

Also, you speak of WM as if the WWE will let Brock and or RVD headline.

No way in shot.

My money is on Rock - HHH for the unified title, but that is beside the point.

At Survivor Series I would LOVE to see RVD ME with a win over HHH, for a start he is the most over mid card superstar and his style is believable aginst bigger men.

Jericho needs rehabilitated before a push, and we need Booker to hold the tag scene together.

ON SD! Angle vs. Benoit seems to be on tap, and Edge & Eddie Guerrero are all obver the show so thats all good.

Also for Survivor Series elimination matches saying benoit to join the unamericans and Edge / Cena to join Book Dust & kane is silly as they are on SD and the defections are hopefully dying down.

I'd say

Book Dust / Kane / Harvard vs. Test, Christian, Storm & Regal

I don't see the defections ending anytime soon. Another defection probably will take place on SD and/or Raw this coming week to sort everyone out...who is RVD's immediate competition for HIS belt? Does Benoit, Edge, Guerrero or Cena stand a chance in hell at seeing a Lesnar(or UT) title shot in the next few PPV's? Why not move Cena to Raw with the recent bulge in the Smackdown roster? He goes from a mid-card situation on SD to upper-card stuff on Raw...

I'd say

Book Dust / Kane / Harvard vs. Test, Christian, Storm & Regal

EARTH TO EVERYONE: Chris Nowinski needs to be a HEEL right now. Don't sacrifice this guy's gimmick and heat to save an angle, which would look rushed anyway if he joined the faces. Why would anyone CARE if he joined the face side? He's been insulting the crowd, TV audience, announcers and other wrestlers ever since he was brought in...why put THIS gimmick on hold?

Throw Bubba in there as the 4th member, or D'Lo or whomever.

If someone broke through the glass ceiling, wouldn't big shards of glass fall on everybody else below it and kill them? (Decide for yourself if there's anything metaphorical or symbolic hidden in the question)

You are fools if you don't see Edge in the upper file of the glass ceiling before any of the other mentioned superstars.
