What if?

A few weeks ago, Vince killed the nWo and brought in Eric Bischoff as the Raw GM. 5 months after being brought into the WWF as a "poison", the heatless angle was replaced by its creator.

What if that was the point.

What if the entire nWo angle was created simply to show Bischoff "Hah, your crowning achievement, now look at it"

Lets look at the nWo, and why they didnt get over

Hollywood Hogan- two minutes after arriving it became obvious that the retrogressive WWE fans would never accept Hogan as a heel

Scott Hall- didnt we have a sweepstake on him, how quickly he would be fired

Kevin Nash- the smarks most despised wrestler of all time

Wow, thats uh, some poison huh, but it gets better

Post- Wrestlemania

Hogan gets the biggest pop of the night, turfed out by the outsiders, and replaced

X-Pac- see my comment about Nash

Then, Hall manages to get himself fired and replaced

The Big Show- Walking Heatsink

Then, Flair sticks Booker in there

Booker T- my personal theroy is that JR stuck him in there so his heat would be killed. It failed

Kevin Nash sticks Shawn Micheals in there for no reason whatsoever

Shawn Micheals- see my above comment about Hogan

He kicks out Booker, and decides to bully Triple H into joining

And then, the shit hits the fan, Brian Gerwitz accidently sticks Kevin Nash into a match too early and he promptly ruptures his quad. Realising that X-Pac and Paul Wight will NEVER get over as monster heels, Vince shitcans the angle and passes the buck onto their creator.

What if the whole thing was just proving a point to Bisch?

Incidentally, the Bisch is massively over

Feedback is greatly appreciated

I don't believe that. Vince's goal is to make money, plain and simple. Some of the crap he pulls is ego stroking (Trish & Torrie come to mind), but the majority of the angles are brought in because he is convinced that it will create interest and make more money.

It's easy to look at the results of the nWo angle and see that it was destined to fail, but who knows, in an alternate universe maybe the nWo caught a nostalgia interest like Hogan's face retirement run and is the hottest thing going.

I think Booker T was added to the nWo to get the group MORE over, but the only ones who got anything out of it were Booker and Goldust.

I thought he was just added to get Booker's initial face run started.

I thought they added Booker because they were throwing shit at the wall and seeing what would stick. The nWo being used to actually help a non-clique member get over??? come on ;)

That was partially my point, no-one was ever gonna get over in that angle

It's an interesting theory, because after the incredible nWo performance on the first Raw after No Way Out, the angle was completely sabotaged on that Thursday's Smackdown. If they wanted the angle to succeed there was absolutely no reason to do what they did on that show.

Still I think the main reason to bring in the NWO was just a panic move when McMahon realized he didn't have a big money match for Wrestlemania.

The problem with the nWo isnt what people listed above, it all stemmed from the nWo entering and NOT being a poison, and jobbing to everybody.

With the exception of getting the upper hand on Rock, Hall and Nash looked like old losers, and not serious threats

Thats the whole fucking angle right there
