Guest Invader3k Posted September 21, 2002 Report Posted September 21, 2002 I'm sick of just seeing everyone on the internet simply talk about how crappy the WWE is. Everyone pretty much agrees that HHH is taking up way too much time on TV, that the wrong people are getting pushed at this point (UT, HHH, etc) and that the right guys aren't being elevated (RVD, Booker, etc). What can we do about it? Attendance and buyrates are down for WWE, but they aren't doing anything new, other than constantly talking about how "changes need to be made". However, this talk has been going on for months now. What I propose is that fans at shows aren't being vocal enough about the crap that they're seeing. Instead of sitting back and accepting stupid crap like HLA, gay weddings, and endless HHH segments, the fans should be chanting against it. Something like a constant and loud chant along the lines of: "This shit sucks" would do nicely, and would let the WWE know that we're not going to take their crap anymore. They know that they're the only game in town (excluding NWA-TNA, which probably won't make it 'til Christmas), so they should be making more of an effort at this point. What do you all think? I'm just tired of being frustrated with the WWE personally.
Guest Dillon Likes Bossman Posted September 21, 2002 Report Posted September 21, 2002 For every "This shit sucks chant" us smarks make, 10x the "We Want Puppies" and "H-L-A" chants will come from the marks.
Guest Ozymandias Posted September 21, 2002 Report Posted September 21, 2002 No, if you're in the crowd it's better to remain absolutely silent during such stupid segments. Anything else would be considered "heat" by that fucking moron Vince. If 25% of the crowd doesn't make a sound during an HHH segment, they'll get the message FAST.
Guest jester Posted September 21, 2002 Report Posted September 21, 2002 I don't know, it's pretty hard to misinterpret a "boring" chant. Enough of those and the message will get across.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted September 21, 2002 Report Posted September 21, 2002 You know what we could do? We could just stop watching. But Vince knows he has some of us addicted to the point that RAW could be 2 hours of his bare ass and we'd still watch next week.
Guest BorneAgain Posted September 21, 2002 Report Posted September 21, 2002 We could just stop watching. But Vince knows he has some of us addicted to the point that RAW could be 2 hours of his bare ass and we'd still watch next week. Sad, but true. I can't imagine watching anything else on monday night. And don't start with me about Monday Night Football either.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted September 21, 2002 Report Posted September 21, 2002 I watched the Eagles destroy the Redskins last week, the only MNF games I watch are with Redskins and Ravens, and while the Ravens squeaked out a win on MNF last year, the Redskins have been total crap when they play on MNF for a long time. In 2 weeks - MNF ratings will hit the floor cause its the pathetic Ravens vs the Mediocre Broncos! (I think..)
Guest Trivia247 Posted September 21, 2002 Report Posted September 21, 2002 we got the feedback option now, As Long as we don't Flame when we send them we can all vent to the WWE directly. go to the TV Smackdown results and click the feedback button then go to any one of the options usually General Info will do and just start sending them Ideas and what you think.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted September 21, 2002 Report Posted September 21, 2002 Uh huh. "Oh look, another internet dork sent us some feedback. (reads for a second, think of all the smarkish rants about Smackdown you had or have and they'd be in there)" *Deletes* "Oh look, someone thinks we should have Anna Nicole Smith and Rikishi team up together. What a great Idea, let me go tell Vince right now" *Prints out 8 copies and goes to tell Vince*
Guest goodhelmet Posted September 21, 2002 Report Posted September 21, 2002 You know what we could do? We could just stop watching. But Vince knows he has some of us addicted to the point that RAW could be 2 hours of his bare ass and we'd still watch next week. actually, right after kor i did just that. i stopped watching wwf tv. all of it. then, people tell me it was picking up so i start watching again. then i see some of the worst back to back to back episodes of raw ever. now, i just watch SD! because RAW has nothing to hold my interest. sure, rvd is there but he can onoly wrestle jericho so many times. booker is not being elevated anytime soon so whats the point? turn off the tv. trust me, you won' even miss it.
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted September 21, 2002 Report Posted September 21, 2002 I actually did the same thing as Goodhelmet. Only the other way around. I stopped watching Smackdown as Hogan was there and he was pissing me off. Then Steph got there and Jericho jumped to RAW. Then Benoit jumped to Smackdown and I just decided to watch Booker, RVD, Bisch and Jericho instead of HHH destroying furniture. Of course that was ruined by the ultra-dramatic Shawn/Hunter storyline and his jump to RAW. So yeah, I've pretty much given up watching Smackdown as nothing of real interest happens there. With the exception of the Recent Gay Wedding, but that was mostly due to Bischoff's involvment.
Guest goodhelmet Posted September 21, 2002 Report Posted September 21, 2002 while i agree there isn't much in the way of storylines, the wrestling on SD has just been so much damn better lately (rey vs. angle esp.). everytime i flip the channel to raw, there is NOTHING to hold my interest for longer than 2 minutes. on SD, rey, angle, benoit, eddy, the other cruisers are ruling the roost.
