Billy Gunn

The team of Billy and Chuck might not be long for the world. Now that they are faces, WWE is considering breaking them up very soon.

Interesting, there is heat on Billy Gunn for being upset about the gay wedding angle. Gunn was vocal about not liking the wedding or being a part of it. Backstage, it is thought that Gunn should have sucked it up, that it was a major angle, and he should understand he was only playing a part.

There is also belief that Gunn is working without a contract, which might explain why his team could be broken up soon.

Good, go join your little buddy Road Dogg in Jarrett's federation. No one will miss you a single bit.

They'd better not let Billy Gunn go. He's the best pure athlete in the WWE if they would find something good to do with him he could be good. Oh wait that was 3 years ago. Cut him. The Big Show too while you're at it.

I think they should do like the movie Office Space. If you've seen the movie, the two Bobs decide to stop paying Milton but not tell him he's been fired. "Things will work themselves out. We tend to avoid confrontation as much as possible." Just let Billy keep wrestling until he realizes he's not getting paid. That is, if he really has no contract.

Man... he'd better get resigned.

I already have half of DX in TNA...I don't need 3/4 of them.

SPOILER ALERT (about tonight's Smackdown)

After reading the results of tonight's show, I was given the impression that there may be a Billy/Chuck/Torrie alliance in the near future, probably to further "prove" that Billy and Chuck are now 100% Hetero. So maybe they'll throw the vicious "love triangle" storyline in there, which will make that the 954th time that Torrie Wilson has been involved in such an angle.

Bps, waiting for the other two fifths? Just take the other away from Chono.

I dont want to offend Billy Gunn but why is he doing this. The one thing the WWE and Vince McMahon hate more that anything else is a wrestler who complains. He has had a huge push (after many many previous pushes) and he is complaining. Why? Everyone knew he isnt gay in "real" life so what was his problem. I always liked the whole Billy and Chuck dynamic. In fact I think it is time to let Chuck Palumbo see if he has what it takes to be a great singles wrestler.

Sadly, out of all the members that have ever been in DX, the only one I actually liked is dead.

Ugh.

I hope Chyna stays in Japan. I don't want Jerry getting ideas.

Rude was my favorite too.

Gunn is perfectly acceptable as a tag wrestler, and I like the team of C&B, but I want *no* parts of a singles run for Gunn.

Of the 2 guys in the team, I like Chuck better, but I don't think he's ready for a singles run, either.

They're a decent team, they seem to be getting over as faces, and they're the most established tag team in the WWE, so I see no need to break them up in the near future.

Maybe the fact that their is no point to being a tag team on a show with no titles.

I miss Palumbo and O'Haire. Sean ruled it, but ruled it too well so they had him squashed and sent to HWA for "retooling" or whatever they call it. Dammit.

Well, there's that.

But then you could argue there's no point in singles wrestlers who aren't Undisputed or Cruiserweight contenders wrestling on SD.

They should have moved them to Raw, rather than Hurricane.

They called it:

"Hey...that guy is big and impressive. I must destroy his career and continue to kill all newcomers."

I'll let you guess who I think said this.

"Retooling" = slowing him down, hoss-ing him up, and cutting out all his high-flying stuff, apparently.

I don't mind Gunn. Really.

As a tag wrestler, he's perfectly acceptable.

I'd rather have Billy Gunn on SD than say..Ross' Bitch 2: Bull Buchanan.

About 90% of all matches on Smackdown are tag matches, though, so keeping them together does make a certain amount of sense. There's no midcard title over there, either, but they've got plenty of midcarders. I'm on the "I like B&C well enough" boat, but only when they were gay heels. Them being openly heterosexual kind of takes all the fun of it.

When Bischoff breaks away and does his thing, hopefully both shows will get tag titles.

OOH! It was Molly, right?

As for Billy, he's my all-time LEAST favorite wrestler, but I can understand him complaining about the gay angle, because of his kids and what not. If he sees this as a reason to leave, I'm all for it...as long as he stays away from Japan.

The strange thing is over at a Raven fan forum I go to when I talked about WWE causing Sean O'Haire to deteriorate in the ring, the mod said something along the lines of "He actually uses psychology now, and isn't just clothesline-Seanton Bomb like he used to be". Since when is an armdrag into an armbar psychology unless he works over an oppponent's "injured" arm during a match? And how was Sean O'Haire previously just a clothesline and Seanton Bomb wrestler before being sent down to OVW?

Billy could of easily been a main eventer if he just wasn't...I dunno. Something about him just comes off that he's not someone to be a main eventer. Maybe it was his gimmick as the Ass-Man which did it for me.

If he is let go, I wouldn't cry.

I think that one thing may have been his mic skills. Every since he was a Smokin' Gunn, he would stop for 5 seconds before spitting out what he was going to say. Atleast that's what I think the problem was.

Gunn often looked (and sounded) nervous whenever he had to get on the stick. Remember when he was one of the suspects in "Who hit Austin?" saga? I thought he was gonna piss his pants, what with the way his voice was shaking.

If they do break up Billy & Chuck, then maybe we could see a Billy vs. Chuck fued. Actually, it would be better to leave them as a tag team, since there is no mid card title on Smackdown.

There's something about the way Billy sells and the way he executes his offense that makes him look cartoonish. I can't put my finger on exactly what it is though. I'll give him this however, he does a nice tilt-a-whirl sideslam.

I don't think Rude was really a member of DX, he was more like their own personal security guard but never became a full fledge member.

Well, I can recall at least 2 times that Rude came out to DX music, and the night the group was formed, I believe HBK said something like this:

"Degeneration X...Triple H, Chyna, Ravishing Rick, HBK...we are Degeneration X, you make the rules, and we...will...break 'em!"

...why yes, I *was* a DX mark. Why do you ask?
