Juventud Gets Tryout At Smackdown

Juventud Guerrera was given a try-out at this week past SmackDown! tapings where he wrestled Shannon Moore. Before his match agents told him to slow down his style and not try lots of high spots. Straight after this his match began and reports say he went double speed and tried all his signature spots. This is said to of angered many in managment and harmed his chances of getting a WWE contract as not only did he not wrestle WWE style but he also went against WWE’s requests.

Damn, I would have liked to see him in the WWE too.

"Our two main eventers on the show are slower than shit and less entertaining then it! Don't try and out do them!"

Anyway, in three months, when he's running around naked in some hotel, it's probably better for Vince not to be involved.

Rey's still pretty good doing the "WWE-style" cruiserweight action; Juvy--considering his past indiscretions--is lucky he got a try-out.

Way to screw up your only chance Juvi. He's lucky he even got a tryout. What a dumbass...

LoL Juvi is a fool.

Why not try to get more money for less work?

Loved his matches though.

Wonder if he's still wearing the Luchadore chains.

Yeah, he really has no qualms with filling the "stupid ass illiterate mexican (Or whatever the fuck he is)" sterotype, does he.

Considering his past, it's a blessing he was even given a tryout. But to "F" it up, what an idiot.

Not true...

If he was on commentary, he could produce some good laughs.

Plus... who wouldn't want to see.. THE JUICE! Vs. .. the Rock?

Didn't he ramble about someone not catching him on a dive while on commentary?

And does anyone else remember the day he was arrested in Australia, and I think WCW.com or some affiliate did up a short news story to explain his absence, and the spelled it Juventud Guerrero, and then later in the article were just referring to him as Guerrero, so everyone thought it was Chavo?

LoL....forgot about the Juice part. My cable was off around that time.

Only caught snippets at friends house.

Juvi was talking about Jushin Liger.

Juvi may have blown his shot, but it doesn't sound like he's too broken up about it. Maybe he just thought "fuck you" would have a biger effect in person than over the phone?

I think it's been established multiple times that Juvi isn't exactly bright enough to come up with and execute such an elaborate plan. Was he checking his hand for notes during the match?

Juvi, at one point, was an absolute work-horse in the ring and produced some incredible matches. Now, not so much.

Lyger vs Benoit on Thunder, when Lyger dives at Benoit:

I ain't seen Juvi wrestle since around '96 in his ECW days with Rey. He was very good back then but that was 6 years ago.

He can be very good with somebody that can work his style. But right now thats not to many people.

I think a bunch of guys need to do what Juvi did here actually. Mind you, it is stupid to intentionally piss off a prospective employer but it seems to me really retarded to not hire someone because he did BETTER than you wanted him to do.

The whole WWE style thing is so retarded. This is the first thing that has got to go if they want to make a turnaround. Doing methodical, slow matches that "tell a story" is not what 95% of the audience wants to see. How about fast paced matches with hard hitting action that tell a good story?

And really, does anyone want to see slow, psychology driven cruiser matches? If I want that I'll watch Chris Benoit. When I see cruisers I want guys to bust stuff out.

The only match that was worth anything this year was the most anti WWE style match, which says something about how affective their ridiculous style is.

And forgive me if I'm mistaken, but in his later days, most of Juve's high spots consisted of ripping off Jeff Hardy, so how exactly is that against WWE style?

"Not the Falcon's Aero!!! THAT'S WAY TOO REVOLUTIONARY!!!!"

Bingo! How did RVD and Tajiri get over? They were, heaven forbid, different than the other 85 guys on the roster. Heaven forbid somebody get over by actually doing their thing and having something new to bring to the table.

Losing your shot because you weren't "WWE style"? And they actually wonder why Triple H as "World Champion" isn't drawing? If you want me to sit through Mark Henry and Rikishi, I want my cruisers, dammit!

There is a such thing as fast junior matches with good psyche to boot. The WCW Cruiserweight division would never have gotten off the ground had they not given them twenty minutes on pay per view every month, and they didn't fill all of that with high spots, either.

"Psyche in our cruiser matches? BOR-RING!!!! WHERE'S MY X DIVISION!?!?"

Matches with good storylines, selling, pacing, and timing have always gotten over fine. Rey/Angle, while not exactly a clinic in this way, did all of those things well enough, and got good heat as a result. Benoit/Angle, a "methodical" match that still managed to be exciting and rich, got plenty of heat.

The "WWE Style" is a different beast all together. Hitting fluke finishers after getting no-offense for most of the match, brawling outside for no real reason, being able to work in as many "signature" spots as possible, that's WWE style, and it sucks. Oh, does it suck.

so did Juvi do a Super Juvi Driver?

Juvi did ok working in Mexico with his father

it would be refreshing to see somebody do something other than the punch, kick, suplex, finisher formula which is WWE style.

give me spotfest, tag team double team moves, insane topes
