Who do you see teaming? Seems to me there's not so many teams. Considering how many cruisers there are, it could be fun. Maybe they could bring in some new cruisers that way. Niko

After whats been going on between those two recently (you know, them feuding and all), this has to be a typo. Otherwise its not going to make any sense and the match ending will be exactly like the Benoit/Angle vs. Billy/Chuck match just before Unforgiven.

Guest evenflowDDT Posted September 30, 2002 Report Posted September 30, 2002 As far as tag teams go, I'd love to see Billy Kidman and Rey Mysterio Jr. get back together, but alas, Edge is another of the "young blood" and more commercially viable. Billy & Chuck are fairly obviously going to be in the tournament as well, but I'd like to see a Matt Hardy/Shannon Moore team, and since Jamie Knoble/Tajiri have teamed before and "hang out" in storyline terms they'll probably be in the tournament as well, even if it is the "Velocity qualifiers round".

Bah. Well, they're might be a legitimate storyline reason, but the pessimist in me somehow doubts it. Anyone else think Edge & Mysterio aren't going to be able to work too terribly well together?

Having said all that, there is no frickin' way that Eddy G is NOT a face after his performance at Vengence and Smackdown....I can totally see them teaming Edge and Eddy....kind of a "respect" thing like Benoit and Jericho...

Who the hell is going to be ME on SD if these guys (Edge, Eddy, Kurt, Benoit) are stuck in tag action? And why not include C&B in the "teams to build around" since they are the most established (in terms of longevity) team in the entire WWE?

If they'd only get rid of the World title on RAW and make the I.C title tops on that show then everything would be swell. I just hope that making more belts isn't SD's answer to RAW having more belts. This sounds better...... RAW - I.C, Tag, Hardcore SD - WWE, Tag, Cruiser .....than this does. That being said, Benoit & Angle are forced to tag together even though they hate each other. Their just be in there to keep the Tournament exciting. They would probably end up just losing after one of them costs the other the match. Feud continues. They wouldn't make them like Austin/HBK, or Foley/Rock. They wouldn't dare take them from the singles division. Would they?

If they give any combination of those teams a 10-15 minute match each week, give the other team something meaningful to do, quality cruiser action, Matt Hardy's development into an entertaining heel, and leave crappy people to be fed to Brock and SD looks like a virtual can't miss formula for the near future..

It just drives me crazy when people say "so and so cant happen" due to some internal logic that doesnt exist also see "that wont happen because so and so is on Raw, not Smackdown" when theres been "x" amount of nonsense jumps already.
