Guest ShooterJay Posted October 3, 2002 Report Posted October 3, 2002 My next door neighbor's son was friends in college with Stephanie McMahon, and still hears from her once in a while. Anyway, he asked one time if she was really dating HHH, and she told him "oh, that's blown out of proportion, that's all hype." This was apparently last April or May. I know this is one of those "friend of a friend said" stories, so you can take it any way you want. Meanwhile, I found out the other day that both Shane and Stephanie McMahon both went to the college I'm currently attending (Boston University) and that WWE takes preference in job applications from here (an upperclassman here told me they distribute fliers for recruiting and internships once in a while). So assuming I make it out of here with a degree in a few years, I'm WWE BOUND BABY! Especially since I have some prior experience already with pro wrestling television. I'm done now. Continue on.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted October 3, 2002 Report Posted October 3, 2002 That's fairly cool. Though I think Stephanie may have been down playing her relationship with HHH.
Guest RedJed Posted October 3, 2002 Report Posted October 3, 2002 What kind of experience do you have with wrestling on TV? Just curious.
Guest Zero_Cool Posted October 3, 2002 Report Posted October 3, 2002 I think that they look for people who have experience in TV. Anyway, kick ass, man.
Guest bob_barron Posted October 3, 2002 Report Posted October 3, 2002 Howard Stern went there as well. Howard: So Dawn comes out and reveals she's a lesbo and then all the divas make out in the middle of the ring. And Kurt Angle jobs to Edge because he feels inadequate about his fall penis. Bababooie
Guest ShooterJay Posted October 3, 2002 Report Posted October 3, 2002 I co-produced a TV show for a small indy in New England- AWA, the Lobsterman's fed. Because I interned with my buddy/co-producer at a public access TV station, our tape quality was about Ring of Honor-level. I was also the PBP guy, my buddy was color. We had a slight falling-out when they decided to drop us from our spots (me moreso than my friend- he's a wrestler for them and thus still had an on-air spot). I even posted a lengthy swear-laden diatribe on this forum on the indies section about how much LM sucked. Plus it looked like they were going to go out of business and move to Cali. (and stiff me cash-wise) Anyway, they changed their minds and I still have my spot. We're running on 11 access stations in Massachusetts, and 1 in NH. Last TV taping for a while is this Saturday, and I might even be cutting a pre-show in-ring promo, which will be cool. So, if you're from Mass/NH head to St. Stan's Hall in Nashua, NH for AWA BaseBrawl 2002 on October 5th! As a matter fact, screw Jerry Lawler and Kid Kash, we've got Lobsterman vs. minor leaguer Pork Chop Pough, and a Toilet Bowl Death Match! Special Appearance by former Milwaukee Brewer Angel Miranda! All that, and some half-trained guys I could probably outwork with one hand tied behind my back. (Hey, I'm still a little bitter). -Seriously, I'm the biggest and most athletic-looking guy there, and I'm the FRIGGIN' CAMERAMAN. Plus, the possible debut of yours truly, "Mr. Saturday Night" Jayson Klifton! Edit: There's also an off-chance I'll be crewing for Ring of Honor's next Wakefield show! I gave Rob Feinstein my portfolio tape at at the 9/21 show, and I'm going to call them back soon to confirm.
Guest RedJed Posted October 3, 2002 Report Posted October 3, 2002 Cool.........it's very plausible you could get in the WWE with experience like that.
Guest nikowwf Posted October 3, 2002 Report Posted October 3, 2002 Ah, but you've never written for a soap opera. NIKO
Guest Brian Posted October 3, 2002 Report Posted October 3, 2002 And if you ddin't work for the WWE, you don't exist in the pro-wrestling world.
