Guest Brian Posted October 3, 2002 Report Posted October 3, 2002 From the Observer: "The line-ups for this coming weekend's Raw house shows have been changed from HHH vs. Kane to HHH vs. Rob Van Dam. Keep in mind they may change again before the weekend (thanks to Juan Rosado)" Hopefully this either means they're headed toward Survivor Series, or since they haven't confirmed the match for No Mercy, maybe RVD will win the IC title.
Guest nikowwf Posted October 3, 2002 Report Posted October 3, 2002 I was the one who emailed Dave. Unfortunately, his reply was "its HHH vs. Kane at the PPV" So i dont think he sees a change. Niko
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 3, 2002 Report Posted October 3, 2002 I can't understand how this happened. Even marks aren't stupid enough to not see that RVD was kicked down again, and the Kane push came out of nowhere...and he won't win.
Guest cabbageboy Posted October 3, 2002 Report Posted October 3, 2002 The whole Kane push is complete nonsense to anyone with half a brain. He won't draw, it has been PROVEN that he can't draw, and the match will be a lukewarm affair at best. I think after HHH gets his job back and his ego fed to at NM, they will hopefully go back to RVD/HHH for S. Series.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 3, 2002 Report Posted October 3, 2002 I have this horible voice in my head telling me that KAne might win, just so HHH doesn't have the title well ratings continue to suck...and he doesn't have to put over someone who is a threat to getting people excited and taking his spot. This is another one of those matches that HHH has managed to get into where even people that hate him need him to win.
Guest Zero_Cool Posted October 3, 2002 Report Posted October 3, 2002 HHH vs. RVD at Survivor Series should happen, with RVD going over. But why can't we still get Booker/Triple H at No Mercy?
Guest eirejmcmahon Posted October 3, 2002 Report Posted October 3, 2002 I'm at a loss as to how RVD has been moved aside in favour of Kane - do the WWE seriously think that Kane is a bigger draw than RVD ? I have my problems with Rob, and personally don't see him as having what it takes to be a true main eventer, but he's certainly higher up the card than fucking Kane.
Guest Trivia247 Posted October 3, 2002 Report Posted October 3, 2002 They are just doing it to PISS you off Personally.. Im getting tired of people who simply Want the top tier Moveset favorites and Demand them always be pushed and everyone else must not be. You see no marketability in kane what so ever? You don't see any use for him.....at all? Is that what your saying. Or you just whining because the Bookaman doesn't want to be outclassed again by RVD?
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 3, 2002 Report Posted October 3, 2002 To be fair... saying Kane isn't a draw is based on the ratings his and Taker's push resulted in last year as ratings fell faster than any time in history.
Guest Trivia247 Posted October 3, 2002 Report Posted October 3, 2002 SO Its all Their fault... They Made XFL THEY Created the Invasion Angle.. ALL their fault.
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted October 3, 2002 Report Posted October 3, 2002 That "fall" bps is speaking of was well before the Invasion angle. And I don't see what XFL has anything to do with it. XFL didn't harm the very successful Wrestlemania 17.
Guest cabbageboy Posted October 3, 2002 Report Posted October 3, 2002 People look at things to simply. There was quite a bit of time between WM 17 and the Invasion (about 3 months). I can assure you that WCW didn't fuck up the WWF first. It was them making the retarded decision to push Kane and UT against Austin and HHH. The absolute last thing people wanted following the Austin turn was MORE of him against UT, and Kane getting a push by his phony relation to UT. Kane has never drawn big money or even had any heat on his own. He did draw against UT and Austin, but that was due to his initial angle being well done and Austin's insane drawing power. But no matter what Kane does, to me he is just Taker's brother. Hence he is 2nd rate (even though perhaps a better wrestler). I think that they were just determined to do RVD/Flair for some unknown reason, and HHH simply needed a challenger. Bubba was met with outrage, so they had maybe one other viable guy and that was Kane. I personally think HHH/Booker is a money feud if done right, but given the way Booker has already been treated you know he'd be the job boy there. At Series they pretty much have to go with the best match they can, which is RVD/HHH II. Let RVD avenge Flair's run in, let HHH get his job back from Kane like anyone cares.....and then hopefully at S. Series RVD wins the belt via the Shawn run in (puts HHH in a feud with Shawn and also is irony since Shawn was injured in NY and returns there).
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 4, 2002 Report Posted October 4, 2002 I do blame Taker and Kane for the Invasion angle. Ratings went in the shitter so fast the Invasion plans were put on the fast track instead of the original plan to run WCW seperately.
