The IC title retirement

OK, big leap of faith here, but I'm going on the assumption that the WWE bookers aren't a bunch of dumbasses. I'm assuming they realize that a secondary belt is needed for the mid-card and the midcarder about to break into the main event.

So I'm thinking that the IC retirement will lead to the US title being brought out of mothballs and put onto Raw. My reasoning is that they removed the WWE title from Raw and replaced it with the World Championship which is of course the old WCW World Championship. Smackdown is having a WWE Tag Championship tournament, which could mean that the belts currently on Raw will be just the World Tag Champions. Now they're removing the final WWE title from Raw potentially to be replaced with another WCW title. This could be another step towards turning Raw into Nitro, maybe even WCW Nitro. The WCW name was badly damaged during the invasion, but it would be a good story to have Bischoff steal Vince's own creation and refrom his company with stolen WWE wrestlers.

Good thought, bro, I see where you were going, even if it does end up being without the WCW name. -JM

And this too:

*Bischoff is seen ruffling through a trash can and he finds a shiny object, so he pulls it out of the trash, only to find the WCW TV TITLE*

Bischoff: Say hello to the RAW Title!
