Guest FeArHaVoC Posted October 8, 2002 Report Posted October 8, 2002 As expected, many in WWE are not happy today following the decision to go forward with the Kane/murderer angle that started last night on RAW. It is known by WWE management that this is not the type of angle wrestling fans want. However, the reason they are going forward with it is they feel highly dramatic, soap opera type angles like this will draw back casual viewers. Jeff Hardy showed up late to a few house shows over the weekend, which upset WWE management. He may have been fined for showing up late. Hardy has a history of showing up late to house shows in the past. Everyone involved in the TLC match from RAW last night was bruised and battered following the bout. A few guys were looked over by the medical staff, everyone seems to be OK. A week after suffering a pinched nerve, Bubba Ray Dudley suffered a severe head concussion last night during the TLC match on RAW. He was dazed and confused after the show. No other details are currently available. Credit: Torch, 1wrestling, 411wrestling
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted October 8, 2002 Report Posted October 8, 2002 Didnt Earl do that X thing with his arm when Spike pushed Jericho off the ladder to the floor?
Guest Chuck Woolery Posted October 8, 2002 Report Posted October 8, 2002 NO-BRAINER OF THE WEEK~! However, the reason they are going forward with it is they feel highly dramatic, soap opera type angles like this will draw back casual viewers. What's this obsession with the casual viewers, pray tell? And if you want to draw in casual fans... well, sex and violence sells. Soap operas are on at 1PM for a reason - nobody under the age of eighteen that would ever watch wrestling watches them.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted October 8, 2002 Report Posted October 8, 2002 I find it funny how over the last few weeks, JR & other reports have said they want their Wrestlers to slow down, tell a story, and lay off the high spots. Then they go with TLC.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted October 8, 2002 Report Posted October 8, 2002 Bubba Ray Dudley suffered a severe head concussion As opposed to an elbow concussion?
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted October 8, 2002 Report Posted October 8, 2002 Edge, Christian To Reunite For Upcoming WWE House Show One of the greatest WWE tag-teams ever, Edge & Christian, will reunite for "one night only" on the October 13th WWE house show in Calgary at the Saddledome. The team will face Eddie & Chavo Guerrero. Credit: 411wrestling.com
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted October 8, 2002 Report Posted October 8, 2002 FOOLS! Don't you know that it's smart business to pander to the audience you don't have rather than the one you do have. Simple internet fans - you are not a billionaire like Vince Mcmahon and therefore are not wise to the ways of how to run a company. Go. Go talk about your workrate... FOOLS!

You know...This is what's wrong with the WWF and in result wrestling in general in this day and age. The WWF honestly thinks that THIS shit will bring back casual viewers, when they admit themselves that Fans don't want this go down. This is the almost the same thing Vince Russo said when he tried to justify his decision to make D. Arquette the WCW World Champion saying that it would draw fans to Slamboree. The result...nothing. At this time, the WWE needs to focus on the Wrestling and solid storylines that develop over a course of time.

How funny, because I just read that CNN reported that last week's Smackdown, that rasslin' show that in theory should be floundering, outdrew Major League Baseball in the key male demographic, which is the target market when it comes to WWE. Can RAW say the same? I can visualize Vince, Gerwitz, and any Russo mutant who saw that news bit tearing out their hair in frustration. DAMN that wrestling for actually drawing interest! DAMN them!

He cannot cope with the fct he is just a wrestling promoter and he relies on guys like us for his main income. It bothers the hell out of him, so he is trying his best to drive us away with the pap like "Kane: Killer?" He'll figure it out when he is almost broke.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted October 8, 2002 Report Posted October 8, 2002 He'll figure it out when he is almost broke. Don't tempt us with thoughts like this Snow, please... Such a grin would cut off circulation to the brain...
Guest subliminal_animal Posted October 9, 2002 Report Posted October 9, 2002 You know, if the writers actually had TALENT, something like the murderer angle could turn out awesome. But they don't and it won't.
