Guest Banky Posted October 10, 2002 Report Posted October 10, 2002 Meltzer via the Observer Newsletter has reported that Perry Saturn's WWE career may be coming to an end. I personally find that sad, as Saturn just needed the right vehicle to get over. Hopefully the WWE will reconsider cutting him loose. Notice hwo the WWE ratings have been sinking ever since Saturn got injured, coincidence? I think not.
Guest BoboBrazil Posted October 10, 2002 Report Posted October 10, 2002 He would be a good pickup for NWA:TNA if he is released. I don't see why they would release him though. They were going to give him a tag team push with Hugh Morrus before his injury. They should keep him before some of the other people on the roster they have now.
Guest Midnight Express83 Posted October 10, 2002 Report Posted October 10, 2002 Saturn is un over so let him go and do something where he can be used be better. And isn't it funny, NWA: TNA's new saying... "Where the big boys...who get released from WWE...play"

I can't believe people are already getting the new Observer on Thursdays. It's likely because of his salary. It was mentioned in the excerpt from the Observer at LOP that Saturn has a downside guarantee of $400,000 and that's a lot of money now with most everyone but the "tippy-top" guys getting paycuts. I wonder if even Jericho and Booker T have guaranteed contracts that high. RVD's contract is for less than half that. Not much of a loss. They never did anything with Saturn anyways and he always seemed to have heat with management.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted October 11, 2002 Report Posted October 11, 2002 Oh well, Saturn isn't that big of loss. Now, maybe he can sign with the NWA:TNA.
Guest Trivia247 Posted October 11, 2002 Report Posted October 11, 2002 nah they will probably Blame Saturn for the ratings...even though he hasn't been on TV since Royal Rumble.
Guest KingOfOldSchool Posted October 11, 2002 Report Posted October 11, 2002 Somewhere, a depressed saturnmark4life weeps gently. I like Saturn, but he's been horribly misused while with the WWE. Although it seemed as if he was about to get a push of some sort before he got injured, with or without Hugh Morrus. Still, maybe he'll be offered another deal.
Guest Trivia247 Posted October 11, 2002 Report Posted October 11, 2002 Saturn is a very unique wrestler he is a heavyweight who is so Agile he can hit cruiserweight moves Including the ever Elusive Space Flying SATURN Drop! Or the Saturn Sault... Seemed only ECW ever really used him properly. And WWE is too button down and Orderly to use him properly.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted October 11, 2002 Report Posted October 11, 2002 When he's not killing Jakked jobbers I like Saturn. He can't talk to save his life though, "You're welcome" was funny for a while, but unless they're going to make him a silent killer he should really learn to speak. And about TNA...I'm really going to get turned off the product if they keep taking all the WWE outcasts...the great thing about the fed is that it's a mix of big names and indy talent...they seem to be cropping the indy guys out more and more now.
Guest cynicalprofit Posted October 11, 2002 Report Posted October 11, 2002 Since Saturn hasn't done anything of note in hiw whole WWF career, and I use that term lightly, no real loss if anyone was to ask me.
Guest buffybeast Posted October 11, 2002 Report Posted October 11, 2002 I guess the WWF is thinking, why continue to pay this much money to a stiff, cross eyed old wrestler when they can pay less than half of that to a younger guy?
Guest saturnmark4life Posted October 11, 2002 Report Posted October 11, 2002 [you saw how wide it was, you get the idea] well well FUCKING WELL. how gently does the saturnmark weep? not very. what's the fucking point anymore. puro here i come. i knew this was going to happen. awesome, stasiak, everyone who hasn't done shit for the past year or so. But it stills pisses me off ROYALLY. HE CUTS HIS HAIR, HE WEARS TRUNKS, THERE'S NO CREDIBLE REASON TO GET RID OF HIM YOU MOTHERFUCKERS. ***<o>***KEEP THE SATURN DREAM ALIVE***<o>***
Guest mach7 Posted October 11, 2002 Report Posted October 11, 2002 Saturn would be better off in TNA, where we'd actually get to SEE him wrestle...
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted October 11, 2002 Report Posted October 11, 2002 Edit your goddamn post. I HATE when people make pages wider. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest El Satanico Posted October 11, 2002 Report Posted October 11, 2002 I don't see a problem with TNA picking up guys like Saturn reeased from WWeee. It's not like they are hiring total bums like Nash. Well ok Waltman could be considered a bum, but he's not as bad as someone like a Nash.
Guest Banky Posted October 11, 2002 Report Posted October 11, 2002 Why does everyone say I hope they go to NWA:TNA? Honestly, besides the supreme talent on Styles, Lynn, and Daniels, the shows are rather unspectacular. They have the fucking Harris Brothers there for pete's sake. I'll never understand why that promotoion is considered the holy trinity. Everyone there are WWE rejects, and aside from a few select matches, its a second rate wrestling show.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted October 11, 2002 Report Posted October 11, 2002 Saturn's great, but I admit he can't get over. I say make him the Velocity job guy instead of Albert. The matches would atleast be better.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted October 11, 2002 Report Posted October 11, 2002 Saturnmark4life, fix you fuckin' post! Can't even read this friggen tread now!
Guest welshjerichomark Posted October 11, 2002 Report Posted October 11, 2002 man ill miss perry saturn killing jobbers on metal, that was the only the reason i watched it
Guest RepoMan Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 man ill miss perry saturn killing jobbers on metal, that was the only the reason i watched it The funny thing was that one of the jobber was in a local indy fed, and me and my friends did the rings of saturn gesture when he came to the ring. He was hanging out the the crowd after the his match and threatened to beat us up in the parking lot.
