Guest Anglesault Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 What the hell happened? Trish had perfectly good music, that was catchy, and pretty fun to listen to. All of a sudden, she comes out to fucking cock sucking rap NOISE or whatever the hell that was on Monday. Is this Vince's attempts to be hip or something? Is he going to sacrifice all the good music to be down with his homies or whatever? Will Chris Jericho come out to music that is nothing but lame rhymes and cursing this week?
Guest Insane Clown Dan Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 Will Chris Jericho come out to music that is nothing but lame rhymes and cursing this week? Part of Jericho's gimmick is thinking he is a rock star, and not the kind that resorts to that type of songs =P I remember the Rock having a song change like that... from god knows when.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 I like Trish's new music. Steph's also. Damn variation. First you people complain(rightly so) that the music was getting generic, and when they throw a couple of new kinds in there, you complain then also. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest Chuck Woolery Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 Aside from the fact that Lil Kim must say way too much to signal Trish's entrance, I've got nothing wrong with the music.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 I like Trish's new music. Steph's also. Damn variation. It's like "We want new guys pushed! "Okay, here's Brock" I meant I wanted GOOD music. Not some noise that gets past off as music through clever marketing.
Guest Redhawk Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 I just don't understand why they give midcarders and other not-so-important people new music all the time (Trish, Tazz, Test, etc.) yet they give people who NEED cool music generic crap. Brock Lesnar, for example, seriously needs a better theme song.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 Brock Lesnar, for example, seriously needs a better theme song Yeah, that's the key.
Guest Zero_Cool Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 Remember back after Kurt Angle turned heel the second time, and they gave him ANGRY~! rap music to come out with? I remember seeing the look on his face when he came out to that. He was like, "my theme music sucks".
Guest RepoMan Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 Trish's new music really sucks. I liked her old stuff, and it was at least recongizable.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 I remember seeing the look on his face when he came out to that. He was like, "my theme music sucks". You should have seen the look on my face,
Guest The Superstar Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 It wasn't really rap, just a remix of "Medal" with more bass on it. It was used for a total of 2 shows. I think.
Guest Zero_Cool Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 I think all of us were like that... Say, why did they change Test's theme. Not that it was good or anything, but the messed up lyrics he had in his first theme is better than the nu-metal garbage they've given him.
Guest the pinjockey Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 The thing that gets me is the fact that it isnt just any rapper but it is Lil Kim writing for Trish. Isn't her whole thing "I am a bitch, deal with it" that is not exactly Trish's character. This goes back to the no actual planning by anyone. Here comes Trish a loveable full-fledged babyface coming down to the ring with a song that has no match to her character. As an aside I think that was just another attempt to make fans remember who Test was. They just figured Hey he has new music people will pay attention. I always though the song was funny and the only thing I could think of when I heard it was: Test, Test, This is a Test Test, Test, This is a Test Chimichanga chimi-chimi-changa Chimichanga chimi-chimi-changa Don't ask me why.
Guest CA$H MONEY Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 Test's music: Test, test this is a test Shiddy bomp wee veddy shiddy bomp vee. Shiddy shiddy vomp shiddy vomp vomp wee.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 Actually, Brock's music has a real Universal Soldier/Terminator feel to it, which is what they're trying to make him look like, so it works. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest AndrewTS Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 I think all of us were like that... Say, why did they change Test's theme. Not that it was good or anything, but the messed up lyrics he had in his first theme is better than the nu-metal garbage they've given him. I heard he was supposed to have a new theme made by Slayer... Wait a minute.... One on hand--it's Slayer. On the other, it's for fucking Test. Blah...I'm torn.
Guest Redhawk Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 Actually, Brock's music has a real Universal Soldier/Terminator feel to it, which is what they're trying to make him look like, so it works. The problem is that you can't really hear it that well. They should have given Brock Goldberg's music.
Guest the pinjockey Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 I think they want Brock as far away from any Goldberg comparison as they can get.
Guest KingOfOldSchool Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 About the Slayer theme for Test, I think they recorded it and everything, but once the higher-ups heard the theme they didn't like it. From what I've read, the theme was or eventually became Warzone, from God Hates Us All. I don't mind variety in the theme songs, but in the case of Trish or anyone else, use some good music (whether it be rap, metal or anything else). Not a rap theme from a hack who's more famous for showing off her tit at the MTV awards a few years back, then she is for her entire catalogue.
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 Wait wait wait wait....in the thread topic it mentions that Anglesault is having a bad day....... My question is this: What comprises a good Anglesault day?
Guest The Czech Republic Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 Good Anglesault day = Yankees win, Angle wins
Guest the pinjockey Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 Edge does a dorkless promo and taps to the Ankle lock
Guest CanadianChick Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 Brock Lesner dropping off the face of the earth and taking Test with him
Guest Anglesault Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 Oh, for Christ sakes, I have plenty of happy days.
Guest AndrewTS Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 Taker announces his retirement after putting over Eddy and/or Angle.
Guest jester Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 The thing about L'il Kim or whatever stupid rap spelling they use, is that she's a big name rap star, who is much more marketable. Screw whether the song fits Trish, let's give her something we can use to sell albums. That's why even if HHH become totally unlike his current character (I don't know, he adapts a face Doink persona) they will not change the music. It's by a reasonably big artists, so they will cling to it for a very long time.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 I just realized that Jericho should have a theme song done by Fozzy instead of his theme which hes had for 3+ years.
Guest TheArchiteck Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 Brock's music isn't that bad. I feel when they have rap artists do themes...try not pick the most generic sounding ppl ever. Ppl who do Rey's theme just sound so plain and boring. They misrepresenting rap to the wrestling fans. lol
Guest Nobody in Particular Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 At least we never heard the rumoured Kid Rock version of Real American.
Guest art_vandelay Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 Speaking of Kid Rock, is he the guy singing in UT's new music? About Trish: She was on the TRL-ripoff show on MuchMusic a couple months back and when they asked her about her old entrance music, Trish herself said it really sucked and they were trying to get Lil' Kim to make a new theme for her. Then she requested a Lil' Kim video. So it's much her fault as it is the WWE's.
