Guest BigPoppaKev Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 Well, it is being reported that WWE is looking for more indy talent to sign up. They already have Spanky and Little Guido. Who else do you think they are going to go after and who do you want them to go after?
Guest the pinjockey Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 I really don't get this. They release Mike Sanders, who has great mic skills, can hold his own in the ring, and according to reports was a very good booker in OVW because they want to trim some people and then they go on to sign other indy guys who after adapting to the WWE style will not be that much better than Sanders and don't get in the same ballpark with him on the mic.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 maybe they hate Sanders, I dunno.
Guest Zero_Cool Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 I'm thinking they'll get some young tall Test-looking guy, because they can never get enough of those.

There were reports that Sanders was a victim of the current political scene in the WWE and that his firing was a strike against the Nash group made by Heyman's group.
Guest the pinjockey Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 He must not have brought Droz a dozen roses and bowed down at the UT's feet.
Guest Zero_Cool Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 Poor Sanders. Like Hogan sings about in "I Wanna be a Hulkamaniac:, you may be judged where you hang your hat.
Guest BoboBrazil Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 They should sign the Maximos for the tag ranks and Low-ki and AJ Styles for the cruiser division. Low-ki would be incredibly over.
Guest Banky Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 Sanders was fairly overated, he wouldn't have made any splash in the company at all. I'd take Guido over Sanders. Even though I've never seen Spanky, from what I've heard - I'd take him over Sanders as well. WWE should try and get Styles, Lynn, and Christopher Daniels. Those three guys would cut any indy promotion's chances at getting over by the balls. TNA has gotten over because of these guys and Low Ki, thats it.
Guest razazteca Posted October 12, 2002 Report Posted October 12, 2002 what about Lance Cade? Is he still wrestling? He had the Barry Windham, tall slim blond look, plus he is HBK's kin.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 1. AJ Styles turned down a contract offer by WWE because it offered bad pay and he knew how generic his matches would have to become. 2. Lynn was fired from WWE for no real reason. I highly doubt he'd go back. 3. Daniels will never be given a chance because he's "too old" to be a "new WWE superstar," and I don't think his constant touring of Japan as Curry Man would fit into a WWE road schedule. That said, here's to hoping they sign Danger Boy Alfredo so all the real indy talent can go to TNA.
Guest the 1inch punch Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 2. Lynn was fired from WWE for no real reason. I highly doubt he'd go back. He wasnt fired, he was released with pay
Guest Cataclysm911 Posted October 13, 2002 Report Posted October 13, 2002 They should raid the NWA talent. That would be funny. Imagine if the WWE took AJ Styles, Low Ki, Christopher Daniels and Amazing Red. Of course, they wouldn't use them, but the mentioned wrestlers wouldn't say no to WWE contracts. They would just have to offer the right amount. Also, Daniels could be hired.. they have Rico afterall.. They need to get Mikey Whipwreck damnit. Fuck retirement.
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Posted October 14, 2002 Report Posted October 14, 2002 I wouldn't be surprised to see American Dragon end up there in the future. He was already on a developmental contract once (he got released because he basically reached the stage where he outgrew the dev. system but wasn't ready for WWE), he worked with Michaels, and he fits the new "submissions-based" style they have been trying to introduce.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted October 14, 2002 Report Posted October 14, 2002 I still doubt NWA workers would trade in their art for a generic "punch, kick, hit a highspot, miss a highspot, win with a school-boy" match that WWE has these days.
Guest Midnight Express83 Posted October 14, 2002 Report Posted October 14, 2002 Here is the deal, most NWA wrestlers would go straight to OVW. So its pointless, may as well let them stay there until they really break out and are ready for the WWE. Also, of the NWA main eventers from the start.... The Wall was fired, Shamrock was released/or never resigned, Jeff Jarrett is blackballed, The Truth was a piece of shit in the WWE, and his current style isn't that different, Lynn was released for no reason, AJ Styles turned down the WWE, Lo Ki has too much of a bad rep, Hall is in rehab and thats why he was fired, X-Pac was let go because NOBODY liked him, Road Dogg and Brain Lawler are pot heads. So that leaves WHO to sign?
Guest Youth N Asia Posted October 14, 2002 Report Posted October 14, 2002 They need to get Mikey Whipwreck damnit. Fuck retirement. DARN TOOTIN! Actually he's worked a few matches since his "retirement"...come on Vince, Mikey and Yoshi are gold as a team! Please no SAT in the WWE...I've gotten more then my spotfest fill of them in the last year and a half in the indies. And I'm getting a little tired of Low Ki...with TNA he's given good oponents to work with and is getting decient matches in, he's fine where he is. Who I'd like to see in the WWE -Chris Daniels...TNA hardly uses him anyway -Trent Acid...could be a star with tv time -Tony Mamaluke...FBI baby! Don't think much of him in singles though -CM Punk and Colt Cabana...either as a team or as rivals...it's be great
Guest Brian Posted October 14, 2002 Report Posted October 14, 2002 Daniels deserves it as much as anyone I can think of.
Guest El Satanico Posted October 15, 2002 Report Posted October 15, 2002 They should raid the NWA talent. That would be funny. Imagine if the WWE took AJ Styles, Low Ki, Christopher Daniels and Amazing Red. And why would it be funny?
Guest Youth N Asia Posted October 15, 2002 Report Posted October 15, 2002 I was thinking the same thing...it really wouldn't be funny...it'd just be the WWE picking on the lesser indy... Now if a bunch of contracted WWE workers showed up on TNA then that'd be funny.
Guest ShooterJay Posted October 15, 2002 Report Posted October 15, 2002 I agree with Trent Acid, but I've heard from CZW fans he has attitude problems. Too bad though, he could be molded into WWE style very easily and has incredible heel charisma. BRISCOES~! Six months in developmental and they'd be incredible.
