I just hought I'd share this way cool story. Me and 5 of my friends attened the house show in Rochester tonite. Wll we got seats in row X for 16$. Row X is the farthest seat away from the ring. Luckily house show attendance was down and we got to a decent seat. As we're waiting for the show to begin a man in a suit looks at us and counts us. He walks over and asks us if we'd like to sit floor. Of course we replied yes and we got seats along the aisle way. We got slap ups from RVD Flair and Booker T. It was a gr8 time, considering we only paid 16$. Sure it dosen't really have a point but its just a cool thing that happened...Just thought I'd share

Kane beat Angle, but Angle kicked out and the ref just called for the bell. It ended the nite wit hthe crowd confused. Typical WWE.

Sounds like it was a good show. Better than the Red Deer show back in May of this year. Anyways, Kane vs. Angle would have been an alright main event, though a DQ finish kinda sucks.

no, the test locks were still in tact.

I was there too. RVD was awesome... he spent like 15 minutes slapping people's hands after his match. I met Rico after the show... he's the man. He asked where my sideburns were. The other guys just left with a wave if that, but Rico stayed and took pictures and signed autographs.

Here's results from what I remember:

Hurricane defeats Rico via the chokeslam.

Bautista, Jindrak, and D'lo defeat Raven, JustinCredible, and Red dog or whatever the hell his name is. Some ECDUB chants.

Regal defeats Jeff Hardy via brass knucks. Many "Haaaarddyy Haaaaarddy Haaardddy, YOU SUCK!" chants. Hardy left pissed off. Regal's expressions were hilarious.

Billy and Chuck defeated Rosey and Jamal I believe. I think by a Fame Asser. Billy teased the audience by pulling down his trunks a little to show his thong.

RVD defeats Flair by the 5 Star. Tons of RVD chants throughout the whole match. A good 20 minutes I'd say. Flair worked on the knee... pretty good match.

Intermission- RVD comes out and throws his wrist bands to the audience.

Richards defeats Charlie Haas. Some BWO chants.

Big Show defeats Goldust with the chokeslam about 30 seconds to the end. Stacy was the special ring announcer. Pretty humorous match.

Booker T pins the pantless Test. Did a spinarooni during the match.

Kane defeats Angle after the chokeslam. Angle kicks out at what I thought was before 3 but Earl calls it anyway.

Biggest pops:

1. RVD by far

2. Booker T

3. Kane

4. Hurricane

5. Fat guy who did the spinarooni and took his shirt off

Most heat:

1. Angle

2. Big show when he started leaving his match

3. Rico

4. Regal

5. When the mic didn't work in the start of the show

Honorable mention: Jeff Hardy

Went out to the parking area after the show. As I said, I met Rico. We saw pretty much all the other guys leave except RVD, Hurricane, Hardy, and Regal. Angle, D'lo, Stacy, and Big Show all waved or ackowledged us. Bautista, Test, Kane, Rosey, and Jamal ignored the fans. Test and Stacy, D'lo and Kane, and Big Show and Jamal left together.

Any explenation given to why Angle and Billy&Chuck were on a RAW show?

Forgot where I read it, I'm pretty sure it was in one of the threads on this board (possibly the Ross Report recap). But it was referenced that some wrestlers would be switching over to the other brand for a few upcoming house shows.

I read somewhere, I think 411, that Jericho, Storm and Christian were gonna be working the house shows in edmonton and calgary i think since they were held in their hometowns. So I guess they needed a tag team and singles wrestler to replace them for the Raw shows which were gonna be held in the US.

Dude...

If you live in Western New York than RVD being the most over should be no surprise.

Last time they came by Buffalo (and they will be again tomorrow...but screw that, Sabres play, Football on, MLB playoffs, Sopranos, Curb Your Enthusiasm...WWE loses) RVD out popped Austin and HHH.

He's Western NYs favorite wrestler for whatever reason.

I'd say it's for all the sell-outs he drew at the Flickinger Center while in ECW. Those were some CRAZY ASS shows.

I read that the first time ECW came to Buffalo at the Flickinger Center, Big Dick Dudley and Balls Mahoney had a swimming race in the olympic pool.

Bottom line: Buffalo is ECW country

Too bad you weren't at the edmonton house show. Hopefully I'm getting a tape of that as it rocked.

Oh I have no doubt that RVD is mad over in Buffalo. That's where he beat Bigelow for the TV title, and I think the audience there has never forgotten that match.

ECW used to tear it up in Buffalo a lot.

I just checked out the results for that show. It genuinely looks better then any PPV this year. The amount of good to great workers facing off against each other on that card is insane. To think, the WWE could run shows like that every week if they wanted to.

WWE genuinely tries to put on a great WRESTLING show whenever they come up to Canada, with rare exceptions (Toronto RAW back in May, just before Judgment Day).

I don't know why they don't do the same in the States. I guess they assume they automatically want more of the Sportzzzzz Entertainment stuff.

Kane beat Angle. God damnit.

It is a HOUSE SHOW.

In case you did not notice:

Faces beat heels. Often.

Why? It sends the crowd home happy. Especially at a house show, where it's more important that the crowd go home happy than on TV, where a heel win builds heat.

The WWE tapes house shows? Or is it a b00tleg from a fan in the audience?

The main event for the house show today in Calgary is Lesnar© vs. Jericho for the WWE Title. Unfortunately, I won't be going. :( As a matter of fact, it's going on as I type this. Anywho, once the results are in, I'll post them, if nobody else has. Oh, and the Edmonton show looked like it was good.

Bootleg. I'm working on it. Lots of bootlegs in Canada, you'll see three or four masters circulating everytime they come out of Vancouver.

Smackdown! brand house show

Report by: Mixmaster78, rajahwwf.com reader

I just got back from the WWE Smackdown! house show in Calgary, AB.

It was a great show, with lots of good matches. The arena was about 2/5 full, i would estimate there were about 3000 in attendance. Despite the low attendance, the crowd was loud and hot throughout the show!

Results:

1. Funaki vs. Tajiri

Crowd was mostly behind Tajiri in this match, and it produced some good moments. Alot of reversal moves and submissions. Crowd was well into the match, probably just because it was the first one.

Winner: Tajiri via pinfall - dont know the name of the move, but its when he kicks the opponent really hard in the chin.

2. Amateur local wrestlers from Calgary - cant remember their names

They were actually pretty good! Alot of highflying manouvers. Crowd wasn't into this match at all.

Winner: Does it really matter?

3. Bull Buchanan vs. Big Valbowski

Decent pop for Valbowski, and Buchanan played an excellent heel throughout the match. Both men put up a solid perfomance, and the crowd enjoyed it. Valbowski had Buchanan in the figure four two times, but Buchanan never tapped.

Winner: Big Valbowski via pinfall - powerbomb.

4. Tag team match up - John Cena/ Shilton Benjamin vs. Shannon Moore/Billy Kidman

This was an awesome match with lots of high flying moves and sweet chin music was in the air !! Shilton Benjamin and Cena played fabulous heels, and really pumped up the crowd. Benjamin has great potential and has alot of in-ring talent.

Winners: Shannon Moore/Billy Kidman via pinfall - cant remember how though.

5. Lance Storm vs. Dvon - Interpromotional match

Dvon comes out to alot of boos, and starts dissing calgary. Calling it a hell hole, and talking about how much the Flames suck. Although i think many had to agree about the Flames, he got alot of boos. Storm comes out to a great ovation, and talks back about how he dare come out and diss his home city.

Very good match, and the crowd was really into it. Dvon played the crowd well, and argued with numerous fans.

Winner: Lance Storm via submission - Sharpshooter ( Got a huge pop, mainly coz dvon had been dissing it prior to match, saying that if Bret Hart had found another finishing move apart from the sharpshooter, then maybe he would have stayed in the business a little longer.

5. WWE Championship match - Brock Lesnar © vs. Chris Jericho

Brock Lesnar comes storming out, furious at the announcer because he had initially indicated it was time for an intermission. So he sort of chucks him out of the ring, and talks about how much Calgary sucks. He then tells Y2J to get his ass out to the ring. Y2J comes out to a huge pop, and tells Brock to shut the hell up, ASSCLOWN!!

He talks about how he lived in the city for 8 great years, and that tonight he would give Brock a beating he would never forget!

Brock starts off, after alot of shouting to the crowd. He manhandles Y2J in the beginning. Very entertaining match, and the crowd was so into it. Brock attempts an F5, but jericho somehow gets out. Jericho then puts him in the walls of jericho, but brock gets out. Then Matt Hardy does some kind of messed up run-in, that basically ended up with Jericho pushing him away and matt going backstage again. Weird....... Brock eventually F5's Jericho for the win.

Winner: Brock Lesnar - retains title ( surprise surprise) - via pinfall - F5. Great to see brock in person, he really is huge! The entire ring shook when he delivered the F5.

Brock leaves the ring, and Jericho gets up to a huge pop! He talks about how he requested from jim ross to come wrestle the calgary house show, even though he is a RAW superstar. He says he loves the city and the fans, and that Calgary is the number one wrestling capital of the world! Some guy then yells out : then why the hell do we only get 1 tv show a year! lol...he's damn right! Y2J leaves to a big pop!

* Intermission - ring announcer tells us to go buy stuff - i got a pop and a hot dog, fair enough, eh?

I noticed Tajiri sitting 5 feet away from me watching the Brock vs. Jericho match. I went over and said Hi to him, and smiled an nodded. pretty kool.

Also noticed Stu Hart getting pushed into the backstage area by Valbowski ( stu hart is in a weelchair if ya didnt know).

7. Cruserweight Title match - Jamie Noble © w/ Nidia vs. Rey Mysterio

This was a good match, and the crowd popped loud for Rey. Alot of kicks and off the rope moves. Rey tries the 619 on Jamie, but he somehow reverses it into a powerbomb and grabs the win! Nidia then gets into the ring ( who by the way is huge...if ya know what i mean) , and she slaps rey and then goes to celebrate with Jamie. Mysterio then gets up , and kicks them in the back, so they land on top of each other lying on the rope. Rey then does the 619 to a great pop! good match!

Winner - Jamie Noble © via pinfall - powerbomb

8. Matt Hardy vs. Chris Benoit

Matt gets on the mic and talks some trash about Calgary. Benoit comes out to a big pop, and says how he is a product of Canada, and the Stu Hart dungeon in Calgary.

Match gets under way, and alot of " We want Jeff" chants. Some girls in the back made stupid comments like " You really suck Matt" and " How come you are so bad , Matt?". It was embarrasing, really bad comments. They were hot girls though, so alot if forgiven! Benoit does the face crypler, but Hardy gets out. he then attempts the twist of faith, but benoit reverses it and does the face crypler or cross face..whatever......hardy taps out.

Winner: Chris Benoit via Submission

9. BRA AND PANTIES Dawn Marie vs. Torrie Wilson

Both come out to decent pops. WOW! Torrie is soooo hot! and HUGE!! both girls got down to their bra's, but Torrie ends up winning, and dawn didnt have a thong ...CRAP!

Winner - Torrie Wilson

10. MAIN EVENT - Reunited for one night only - Edge/Christian vs. Eddie/Chavo Guerrero

Crowd loved this one! major pop for Edge, also for Christian !alot of heat for the Guerrero's! They talked some smack in the mic, and the match was on! Crowd kept chanting " 5 Second Pose"!!

Good match, alot of submissions. Eddie and Chavo get out the chairs, but Edge and Christian drop kick them. Edge and Christian kept staring each other down. They then do a double sphere for the win!

Winners: Edge and Christian - via pinfall - sphere

After the match, eddie and chavo leave. Christian gets on the mic, and said that even if it was only for one night, they still totally reeked of awesomeness!! he then leaves...but Edge gets on the mic and tells him to hold on. " Seeing as we are in the number one wrestling capital in canada....CALGARY ALBERTA...lets give the fans what they want".

Christian comes back in ...and Edge says " for those of you who have flash photographers..." FIVE SECOND POSE!

Crowd popped big time for it! They then posed a little more, and left!

End of Show.

Biggest Pops:

1. Edge

2. Y2J

3. Lance Storm ( hometown boy)

4. Chris Benoit

5. Rey Mysterio

Biggest Heat:

1. Matt Hardy

2. Brock Lesnar

3. Dvon

4. Eddie and Chavo Guerrero

5. John Cena/ Shilton Benjamin

A great show! Ring announcer said that they hope to return to Calgary very soon! Probably be a live Monday nigh RAW, seeing as Edmonton had it last time and we had Smackdown!

Oh my God. The return of the Five Second pose. Now there's a mark-out moment. Damn, those two house shows looked awesome. Cena as an evil heel? Lesnar vs various Canadian heroes? Cruiserweight goodness? Let's just hope Vince listens to the Canadian fans the same way he did at Toronto, only this time it would be good.

I miss E&C. They truly did reek of awesomeness.
