Benoit & Angle blow up and lose match to Eddy & Chavo

TAG TITLE MATCH: Edge & Rey vs. Eddie & Chavo

Angle vs. Benoit

 

Benoit & Angle blow up and match gets totally out of control leading to No Contest

TAG TITLE MATCH: Edge & Rey vs. Benoit & Angle vs. Eddie & Chavo

 

Benoit & Angle win

Benoit & Angle vs. Rey & Edge

 

What do you think will happen on smackdown and what PPV match will we get?

Hell, they don't know yet. You have a situation with Angle, benoit, both Guerreros, Edge and Rey. HHH hasn't decided who he wants to fuck yet.

 

I would ASSUME it will be Angle vs. benoit, to finally end this god forsaken feud, just to give Eddy and Chavo a match.

Yeah, but its a different kind of build. Angle and Benoit have looked like two goofy idiots arguing. Undertaker and Brock (well they've tried) have been portrayed as two tough guys ready to have a very important match.

 

And Edge and Rey were just - HEY YOU'RE A TEAM NOW.

 

Chavo & Eddy have been pushed well, I think.

That's what I think will happen, so yeah, we might see Angle vs. Benoit again at No Mercy.

To clarify, the "closet" thing was a setup by Eddy and Chavo. I'm not exactly sure where anyone gets the impression of "two tough guys getting ready to have a big fight" from one guy breaking another guy's hand with a propane tank, outing his affair with another woman, and proceeding to get his ass kicked whenever that other guy is around.

That really only happened once and was done in such a way that it both made sense and put both guys over. They're basically doing all of this to build tension and hopefully encourage more people to want to see another match between the two. Whether or not it's working well is debatable. It does, however, give both guys a high profile program to work in and should result in yet another ****+ match. I don't see a problem.

Last night here in Toronto a show called Live Audio Wrestling said that the plan right now is for it to be Rey and Edge vs Benoit and Angle, with Benoit and Angle going over so they can build Edge up for a match w/ Lesnar at Survivor Series and for Rey to go over Noble for the Cruiser strap. They always get their info passed along to them from Meltzer, so don't this as the Gospel, but it's likely.

And if they are genuinely serious about any sort of cruiser division then just go for broke and book a balls out SS elimination tag involving the evil heel cruisers and the good happy cruisers. That probably makes a bit too much sense though. Still, that's a good start to building towards Survivor Series as matches go. Now, if they could just figure out a storyline where the Raw roster is unable to compete at PPVs due to being criminally crappy as a whole then I'd be feeling it reeeal hard.

Angle and Benoit as a tag team is the BEST storyline the WEEEEEEEEEEE has done all year. Last weeks tag match vs. Kidman/Cena would have been a perfectly great MX style tag match. Yet, with the added storyline, the match had even more depth. It is called parajas incredibles.

 

Benoit/Angle should win the tag belts, keep them for 2 months, lose them at December PPV.

 

Then, Angle gets a #1 shot at Lesnar at Royoal Rumbl;e and wins. Benoit wins the Rumble. They blow off their feud at WM in the main event. That is structure and build. Don't rush things, except the WEEEEE will never grasp this simple concept.

Dude, Angle or Benoit could be the world champ and squash all competitors and you would still bitch. In fact, I don't believe you are really an Angle fan. You appear to be a caricature just like Doink the Clown or The Hurricane... a cartoon. This feud is the best thing going on in the fed today. Wins, losses, storylines, it's all bullshit. By your logic, the fed is really sticking it to HHH and Kane because they have the worst possible storyline EVER.

 

The simple fact is that Benoit and Angle feuding with each other is a godsend to WRESTLING fans because you get great matches like the one that happened at Unforgiven. As a WRESTLING fan, I am more excited about Angle-Benoit 2 (for this year anyway) than any other matchup in recent history. If fighting in closets and getting stinkfaces results in MOTYC then rock the fuck on!!! Every single feud Angle has been in this year has resulted in you bitching and whining. Sit back, open u a beer and enjoy the WRESTLING. WWE has already proven they don't know how to write compelling storylines or push the right people. Just be thankful that two of the best today are able to still provide great matches in spite of all of the obstacles in their way.

I see no way for Edge/Lesnar to be good. Both guys need to be carried, and neither can carry.

I'm still willing to hold off judgement on whether they can carry anyone, since Edge hasn't had to carry anyone in months and IMO Lesnar has made matches with the likes of Rikishi and Taker fairly entertaining, although I'm willing to concede that that may not be carrying in the strictest sense of the word. However, Edge just does too much selling and too many well-timed comebacks to say that he needs to be carried. And, most importantly, it will be much better then anything involving Taker. The sooner Taker gets out of the main event the better.

Mysterio vs Noble will be what, a match with no attention by two guys who don't give a damn about that title.

 

Benoit vs Angle will be a good match, but here is the problem, there both heels. So how can much good come out of it in the long run?

To be honest, I'd like to see Angle vs. Benoit at the Survivor Series, with the winner facing the WWE Champion, Lesnar, at Armageddon. Sure, maybe whoever won wouldn't win, but hey, it would be someone new going for the title, which is something I always love to see. On that same note, I would like to see Lesnar© vs. Edge for the WWE Title at the Survivor Series. So, as far as No Mercy goes, it will probably be a Triple Threat match, Eddie & Chavo vs. Edge & Mysterio vs. Angle & Benoit, with Eddie & Chavo winning the Tag Team Titles.

Dude, I agree with what you say about the wrestling being paramount and the feuds largely sucking this year, but there has been one good feud that had no real lame points to it. I personally think that Brock-Rock, regardless of what you think of either man, was really well written and built up. But yeah, who gives a shit whether Angle and Benoit are fighting each other for the title or not? If the title is necessary for great matches to be important then I guess everyone should disregard that dumb ol' Bret Hart - Steve Austin feud.
