Guest Paranoid Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 I am quite sure that most of you are famailiar with this. There is alot of heat for them working stiff. They have injured two people already. One of the Lesbians and now Pat Patterson. A woman and an old man. Jesus, why would they get heat over hurting two people who have no business in a wrestling ring? I don't know of any injuries to any other wrestlers. If there are some please let me know.
Guest Paranoid Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 Not just a woman with no business in a ring, but an old woman with no businees in a ring. LoL
Guest TheHulkster Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 If I were a worker and I seen 2 guys injure 2 people, both in under the timespan of a minute. I'd probably look down upon them too. They injured a woman's ribs with a kick (why would a person kick a woman that hard in the first place?). Then they seperated a guy's shoulder with a freaking Samoan Drop. Those are not the most high impact moves. The workers are probably really cautious of working with them and I can't say that I blame them.
Guest notJames Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 Actually, all three of them are/were wrestlers. The injured lesbian (IIRC) was Looney Lane from APW or some other indy fed. The point is, the wrestlers are supposed to protect each other, especially when they're old men or old women. No one's out there to hurt anybody. The unprofessionalism and carelessness is the key, not who the victims were.

So are you saying that the fact they were old and/or female, with limited, if any, in ring experiece, that played no role in the getting hurt? I am not trying to start an argument. I just am interested in what you think.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 The only reason they haven't injured any wrestlers is because they haven't wrestled any. Are they going to start having matches or what?

I don't think Rosie or Jamal had any intention to hurt anyone. But I think that there were other factors that played a part also.
Guest TheHulkster Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 Looney Lane, Mae Young, and Pat Patterson have years of experience under their belt, but there is only so much a guy can do when the person across the ring refuses to protect his opponent. How do you protect yourself from a fat Samoan guy kicking you as hard as he can in your mid-section, or his even bigger brother not protecting a freaking 70+year old woman on a big splash. That's just sloppy and inexcusable regardless of who it is though.
Guest BoboBrazil Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 They did have 2 matches. The one versus Billy and Chuck where Bischoff got the stink face and the match where they jobbed out Booker T in his home town(this is also the match were one of them was too fat to get back in the ring in time and the ref had to pause his hand in midair after the 2 count waiting for him to come in.)

You are both in it together.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 So last year, when RVd was kicking everyone's head off, most peoples attitude was "suck it up, pussies!" Now when someone we don't like do it, they should be punished?
Guest Brian Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 If there wasn't a double standard here, what kind of smarks would we be?
Guest KingOfOldSchool Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 You have a point there. But RVD giving someone a stiff shot across the face, isn't as severe as giving someone a cracked rib or dislocated shoulder. RVD actually knows when to pull back, Rosey and Jamal don't.
Guest TheHulkster Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 I don't think it's right when anyone hurts another person in the ring, even Mr Un-Educated feet himself. He should've gotten fined at least when he went on his 2 month long potato-thon last year.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 That's all I was doing, just trying to make a point. Tell ya the truth, I could give a flying fuck if I never see Rosie & Jamal again. Just leave Rico.
Guest cabbageboy Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 RVD and R and J are totally different. I cannot recall Van Dam injuring anyone, as in breaking ribs or separating shoulders. At most he just busted someone open. I knew this comparison would happen, and it is full of crap.

Now when someone we don't like do it, they should be punished? Some stiff kicks to the face, which didn't even cause so much as a broken nose, versus a separated shoulder or a cracked rib is nothing, so don't even try to compare it.
Guest evilhomer Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 The heat they're getting is because they're a pair of 400 pound fat fucks who have continuously demonstrated carelessness. Someone that big falls on you the wrong way and you're looking at a very serious injury or death. No way in hell I'd step in the ring with these dumbasses until they show they can pull their moves off like professionals. I hope these guys get the Ahmed Johnson treatment and are sent packing.
Guest the pinjockey Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 And also the fact the people that RVD busted open are more than capable of holding their own in there if they decided to just potato him back. J and R have injured a 70-year old woman, another woman and a 60 some year old man. While I agree to a certain extent that Pat and Mae should not be in there in the first place it is still your job to protect them in there.
Guest Trivia247 Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 Bet thats the last time they ever Screw with a Gay French Canadian ex IC championship Refereeing WM1 who is also a in ring storywriter and one of McMahon's oldest allies there too... Island boys gonna be losing to Dreamer and Richards over this.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 "No one's out there to hurt anybody. " Unless they trained at the school of Hardcore Holly
Guest the 1inch punch Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 And also the fact the people that RVD busted open are more than capable of holding their own in there if they decided to just potato him back. Angle, I presume?

Angle, I presume? I actually meant any of them. Austin, Jericho, Angle they are all more than capable of punching back. J and R are hurting defenseless people.

He should've gotten fined at least when he went on his 2 month long potato-thon last year. regardless of what precautions you take eventually someone's going to get hurt. Ask this, why were a little old lady and an old man put in the ring with them in the first place? They're new and none as such but someone's writing a storyline out using them to squash these people. What are they supposed to do? Wave a RVD elbow and miss them by five feet?
Guest bravesfan Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 Jamal and Rosie have squashed several old wrestlers (Snuka, Patterson, Brisco), active women wrestlers (the HLA girls) and 70-year old ladies (Moolah and Mae). Not only are you sacrificing the Boys' heat and career by feeding fragile people to them, but these are people who have NO BUSINESS doing potentially dangerous angles like this. Keep feeding them the Jeff Hardys, Big Shows and Stasiaks of the world, who are able to protect their bodies, not non-wrestlers who have a hard time protecting THEMSELVES from these attacks.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 Have these two guys been on RAW recently?
Guest jester Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 I don't know about their intentions, but here are a few points to add. Remember when HHH gave Micheals the Safety Pedigree? We all joked about that, but really, it was the right thing to do. And even though everyone who got 3 minutes had some wrestling experience, they aren't 300 pound wrestlers, and they should be handled carefully. Could you imagine if they stiffed Micheals? That could have been very costly. Here's something else to think about. They punked out Stephanie. I am sure that they weren't going full guns when they did that, because if they hurt her, they can kiss their careers goodbye and watch the next 4 Confidentials about how they were destroying morale, buyrates, gave Flair lung cancer, and destroyed WCW. I am sure they were well aware of that. So if they can ease off for her, they can easy off for anyone else.
Guest Redhawk Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 This just goes to show how petty and stupid wrestling can be sometimes. Whoever decided to put Mae Young, Pat Patterson, and those people in the ring with two big-ass guys like that is to blame, not Jamala and Rosie. And I'd bet that the person who made that decision started this "heat," since they KNOW it's their fault. All Jamal and Rosie want to do is make a name for themselves and do what they're told. So I can see why they'd be a little over-zealous in trying to make their offense look vicious, because that's the point of the "3-minute" segments.

I think someone else should quote this. Just so everyone could read it again! You said it better than I ever could.
