Guest Anglesault Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 Some stats that I picked up from Smackdown. Spear Count: 3 Undertaker appearences (That I remember): 4 Stephanie Appearences (That I remember): 5 Number of times Angle/Benoit looked like bumbling idiots: ZERO, BAYBEE! Number of times Angle/Benoit looked like Retards: ZERO BAYBEE! Lesnar Shitty match streak: 7 Hope for Eddy or CHavo Guererro: Zero. So, Kind of good, kid of bad. I'd give it thumbs in the middle. (And no, this was not just a way to rant about spears and bad Brock matches.)
Guest Human Fly Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 Brock needs to improve his moveset. He looked better then he had recently IMO (maybe because he was getting kicked in the face) but he throws more lariats then the Ultimate Warrior
Guest bob_barron Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 Since the show as in Toronto I think Edge should get a free pass on the spears.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 Hey, at least the streak isn't in double digits, I says. (Thanks largely to Rocky and two off weeks for Brock this month.)

"Idiot" is technically 25 or lower. 25-50 would be "imbecile." So, normally you should wonder if they were made to look like idiots and/or imbeciles, because "retard" could be either/or. Off topic--but I'm bored.
Guest Nater Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 Weeks of SD!'s supremacy to RAW: 6 Number of times Matt v1.0 beat Undertaker in a row: TWOOOO Diameter of vomit pool incured by Taker's presence: 1.22 feet
Guest Goodear Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 Some stats that I picked up from Smackdown. Lesnar Shitty match streak: 7 (And no, this was not just a way to rant about spears and bad Brock matches.) So, how exactly is that a shitty match again? I need a window into your soul.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 Yeah, I liked Chuck/Brock also.
Guest nikowwf Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 if anglesault is rating the brock shitty match streak will rival the goldberg win streak soon. LOL..joking I liked how Angle got the babyface tag in spot in the main event with the crowd going nuts for him. Definitely my highlight of the show. Although a PPV without Eddy on it is a little bad planning, don't you think? niKO
Guest Goodear Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 Although a PPV without Eddy on it is a little bad planning, don't you think? niKO Well, thats the problem with a tornement that settles just before a PPV. On one hand, you can't book people who lose in the semi-finals before the show, because it tells everyone who wins (obviously). On the other, you can't properly promote the losers of the semi-finals match on the PPV, if they get one. I would hope WWE would stick some sort of Guerrero match on PPV, but I don't know who you'd book them against unless you do a meaningless mix'n'match... like Geurerros/Hardy vs. Chuck/Rikishi/Kidman or something.
Guest Rob Van Dam Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 Palumbo impressed against Lesnar. Also Lesnar busted out the STO. That was great!
Guest DJ Jeff Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 Sounds like Smackdown was pretty good. I haven't watched it yet, but I taped it.

I can see Angle/Benoit winning the tag belts at the PPV, turning face and then feuding with the Guerrero's. It makes sense AND is also plausible to happen since this is Smackdown! and not RAW.
Guest Brian Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 He doesn't actually watch the Lesnar matches, he just falls asleep and dreams about Chuck in a bearhug for seven minutes, than wakes in a cold sweat.
Guest SuperTonyJaymz Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 like the way they are going with angle and benoit...probably the best slow face/tweener turn i've seen in a while. And Matt Hardy needs a title..SD needs to make an TV title just for him...jeff Who?
Guest nikowwf Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 Hey! Matt can make his own title. THE MATTITUDE TITLE. If he loses, he can make up a stipulation like you cannot lose the title using the move he lost to, something like that. niKO
Guest SuperTonyJaymz Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 That'd be fucking hardcore. The Mattitude Title:Version 1 h loses it he just makes a version 2
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 He doesn't actually watch the Lesnar matches, he just falls asleep and dreams about Chuck in a bearhug for seven minutes, than wakes in a cold sweat. Nice.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 Hey! Matt can make his own title. THE MATTITUDE TITLE. Can we give him the Old "Million Dollar" belt?
Guest SP-1 Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 Hey! Matt can make his own title. THE MATTITUDE TITLE. Can we give him the Old "Million Dollar" belt? I haven't even seen the greatness that appears to be Mattitude v.1 yet, but if they broke out the Million Dollar belt, I do believe I'd mark out horrendously. SP (who is kicking himself for not going to meet Ted D. a couple of days ago).
Guest art_vandelay Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 A Mattitude Title is a great idea. Then his opponents would want to fight him for it just to shut him up.
Guest nikowwf Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 I can't wait till he breaks out Version 2. I can just see him coming to the ring at some inopportune time to stop everything to announce MATTITUDE VERSION 2 Niko

I considered that, and that one of the spears was a quasi-corner spear, but the fact that a hurt, tired Edge killed Angle with a spear sealed it's fate He obviously wasn't tired after over an hour of resting. So it was just a normal Edge spearing Angle, who was caught off guard.

I'll give you the rest, but Angle was fresher. benoit also got leveled by Rey, who should have been the same as Edge.
Guest CanadianChick Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 But you got to admit 3 spears ain't bad. AND the spear didn't end the match. The spear is fine for a setup move, but not a finisher...even I admit that
