Guest kingkamala Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 I'm boycotting RAW due to the fact that they are getting rid of the IC title, that title has been around for so fucking long and had so much history, WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 Join the club. Week 8 for me!
Guest MixxMaster Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 Why? So they have the same number of titles on each show. Weak reason, yes. But, what can ya expect at this point when they have messed up pretty much EVERY DAMN ANGLE/STORYLINE?
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 Showing that video of the history of the IC title should have told them every reason why they SHOULDN'T be getting rid of the title.
Guest The Electrifyer Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 Raw is the only main show I get and even if I got both it and Smackdown, I just can't boycott wrestling. Someone posted it in another thread and just like them, wrestling is one my mind too much that I know I wont be able to boycott anything.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 It's still a worthless move, especially if you don't have a Nielsen box on your television. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest kingkamala Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 hey, i'm not givin up wrestling, just raw, i'm still gonna talk about other stuff
Guest DJ Jeff Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 I agree it is dumb to get rid of the Intercontinental Title. Despite that, I won't be boycotting RAW. Well, maybe in 2003 I will be, unless they start showing signs of improvement.
Guest Pop Culture God Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 It's been worse before (1995) and I stuck with it. I was rewarded by getting to see Backlund, Hart, and the Clique when they could work. I like to look at the positives.
Guest wwefan4ever_brethartrulz_18 Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 What if Kane or Triple H win by DQ? or count-out? or double DQ/count-out? The IC Title stays then, I assume. a championship can't change hands on a disqualification. Or is it a no-DQ match? (I don't watch RAW).
Guest kingkamala Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 If it is a dq or countout, i'll reconsider
Guest The Hamburglar Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 Wooooooo, "boycotting" Raw, how daring to boycott a shit show. If you really didn't like Raw you wouldn't even care enough to consciously boycott it, you'd just not post about it.
Guest AndrewTS Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 I'm shocked the IC title alone thing would cause someone to not watch--because while it sucks it's the least of their problems.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 Eh. I could boycott RAW, but there isn't anything else on from midnight to 2 AM thats worth watching.
Guest Kinetic Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 The IC title is meaningless at this point, anyway. The most relevant factor in all this to me is that a DQ/Countout ending would almost certainly guarantee a Kane/HHH rematch at Survivor Series. Who wants that? Honestly?
Guest Mikey2Dope Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 I thought of boycotting Raw but I love wrestling just too much plus it gives me and my friends something to do on a Monday night. But if there's a Canucks game on a during a Raw telecast Vinny Mac won't have me watching Raw on that night. I made that mistake last week.
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 When they rename divisions, trophies, pennants, awards, tournaments, etc. in real pro sports do you stop watching them too? Didn't think so, so why the big deal about a fake "title" that basically amounts to a prop for putting over pro wrestlers?
Guest Vitamin X Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 heheh on the flipside I have a boycott on Smackdown...I'm in the extreme minority who actually likes RAW over Smackdown, and I hate Smackdown to the point where I can't watch it...I've only seen it a couple times since the "General Manager Era", and there's a couple big reasons why... Steph, Brock, and Taker. And Rikishi. I just can't stand the fucker. Yeah I was pissed when Benoit and Guerrero left, moreso Guerrero then Benoit, because I frankly find Benoit boring. If RAW got Kurt Angle, I would pretty much have NO reaso nto watch Smackdown...And, how I'm starting to get angry that Matt Hardy not Jeff left...*sigh* OH well.
Guest DeputyHawk Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 if the story about hhh refusing to be intercontinental champion as the figurehead of raw is true, it's just ridiculous. intercontinental, by definition, means exactly the same thing as world, so thinking that creating a fake world title can possibly mean more than continuing the lineage of the i-c belt is absolutley moronic. how difficult would it have been to build the i-c belt up to the level of raw's verson of the world title with just a few more awesome desire videos? silly vince.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 Unless you have a Neilson (Sp?) Box, then what difference does it make? If you're boycotting for your own Mind Frame, then fine. But, it doesn't hurt Vince at all.
Guest T®ITEC Posted October 19, 2002 Report Posted October 19, 2002 Unless you have a Neilson (Sp?) Box, then what difference does it make? If you're boycotting for your own Mind Frame, then fine. But, it doesn't hurt Vince at all. Exactly. Our house doesn't get monitored for ratings anymore, after about three years of my wrestling habit. So what does it matter? There's nothing else on television on Thursdays, and as for Mondays.. Well, I do just like RAW better. It's going to be a while before things change, so... yes. Skip RAW. Watch football, or baseball.
