I, for one, am not. <_<

No Mercy looks like it could be the worst PPV of 2002.

I'm looking forward to the thought of Taker and HHH receiving a much lower than expected pay off for the event...then being told it's the economy.

I want to see just how bad Hell in a Cell will be. It should be funny.

i want to see if the crowd heat goes down during the main events.

I am excited. I cannot imagine how someone could not be pumped for what promises to be the single most emotional night in the history of out sport. i am excited.

I'm gonna see it at Famous Players just for the tag team title matches.

But this is gonna be one BAD show

It's almost tempting to get for its train wreck appeal.

Almost.

Count me excited for Rey/Edge and Angle/Benoit....and that's it.

Best match of the night, undoubtedly, will be the SD tag match. Second best match is either BookDust vs. Jerichristian, RVD vs. Flair, or Trish vs. Victoria.

Now, as for Eddy and Chavo not being on the show. Does anyone else see them complaining to Steph over the use of chair and either getting added to the tag match or facing the winners after the match (All of this nonsense happening on the PPV, of course, because lord knows build up is OLD SKOOL.)

I think that Eddy and Chavo will be involved in that tag match, I don't know how, but I definatly think they will be there.

Someone will call it ****

If one of those two fucks gets sent through the roof and breaks an arm, I'll give it four stars.

If anyone does, it'll be Matt Hardy.

I am looking forward to it as I get to watch it for free...free...free!

Guest CanadianChick

Yeah, Matt's job is to make the match look decent (even though he isn't involved) with a huge bump.

I don't care if the Launch Matt hardy through the cage straight to Hell, the minute I see bearhuggery, it gets a dud. For each minute, it loses another star.

Oh, it wouldn't be on purpose. But I think that in a Brock/Taker match, it's not exactly a stretch of the imagination to think that spots may be blown.

And if they blow spots standing on top of that thing, well...maybe we'll get lucky.

Do you think they'll be forced to open the canned heat during certain matches (like, say, every match but the tag matches)?

I think it's a little optimistic to say that there will even be spots to blow in Brock-Taker. I picture some pedestrian brawling in the cell, some climbing hijinx, them teasing something interesting happening on top of the cage, Matt Hardy doing something insane, and then Undertaker being beaten to death by his own cast. As long as Sara or Tracy don't get involved, the finish shouldn't be too troublesome. It's not like last month, after all, so I'm going in expecting Undertaker to be selfish and force Brock to go to ridiculous measures to beat him. As long as Brock goes over, it's all good.

That said, this PPV should at least have a few decent matches on it, thus making it a sure-fire runner up to the miserable travesty that was No Way Out 2002 in the "worst PPV of the year" category. It won't be pretty, but I can guarantee that Goldust-RVD won't be the match of the night. And that's something to be thankful for.

I think Brock will go over because I believe UT is taking time off for the whole pregnacy thing. I just hope he tries to make Brock look good instead of trying to get his heat back because god knows the fans won't cheer him when he comes back if he doesn't get his heat back from Brock beating him.

I hope Brock beats the everloving shit out of him, personally. Not just because I like Brock, either. I want to see Undertaker get fucking roughed up. If he tries no-selling Brock's offense, he should pull out a Bob Holly powerbomb. It'd kill Lesnar's career, sure, but it would make my day. These are just idle wishes, however. No way Brock comes out of this match looking like anything other than a guy who just got incredibly lucky.

I hope so as well as nothing gets you on my bad side then completely no selling someone on purpose. Not being the best wrestler in the world but selling for someone (ie. Hogan's run so far) will make you a lot higher in my eyes then sitting there and destroying someone's possibe 7-10 year career just so you can preserve your heat for the 1 year you have left.

With the exception of the title reign, Hogan's last run was THE perfect blueprint for how to handle any old guys or nostalgia acts they choose to bring in. Give him a moment in the sun and then proceed to job him out to whoever's next in line for a main event push. Nash should be back by WM next year (RR is a pipe dream, even for someone who does as little in the ring as Nash) and I just hope that they keep that in mind. Along with the fact that Nash is not, nor has he ever been, a draw in their company.

I agree. I think Undertaker may be good as a transitional champion to the next up and coming guy but not as someone to hold the title for 3 months. He has had decent matches in his career and was very good for a big man and there is nothing wrong with making someone else look good and making yourself look good. Ric Flair did it many times.

I think the best thing to do would have been to put UT in the ME with Brock at a WM, and have Brock finally go over by snapping UT's streak. It would be the best way to put someone over. Maybe it'll still happen, but I don't wanna watch this feud go that long.

Thank God for the local sports bar willing to show the ppv's with no cover charge.

Wouldn't it be something else if Vince told Brock to shoot on Taker like he allegedly did with Austin to get Taker to leave?

Then again, Vince doesn't want him to leave.

I think Undertaker might take a bump off the cell in order to play up the injury angle that will let him take time off. It's a much more dramatic way to go out than say, having Brock beat him up on Smackdown. I don't think Taker would go off the top of the cage, but maybe something half-way like Michaels where he can fake landing on the hand and breaking it.

I'm personally looking forward to the payoff that could possibly justify this HHH/Kane soap opera crap. My guess is that Katie Fick never died at all, she was just in shock for 10 years, she makes a run-in, poses, and spits Kane's SEMEN (fermented in her stomach for a decade) all back in his face, then starts singing "OOOH! tainted lo-ove..." while doing the Rikishi dance with Trips as we fade to black.

I really don't think Taker can bump like that w/o getting really hurt
