Guest The Tino Standard Posted October 22, 2002 Report Posted October 22, 2002 OK, so I think it's a pretty safe bet that the HHH/Katie Vick/necrophilia angle won't be winning any "best angle of the year" awards. I think everyone is missing the obvious point: It's all a publicity stunt. Just like the Gay Wedding Angle, albeit way more offensive. The people in the creative department are convinced the best way to drum up business and get mainstream attention is to put out "shocking angles." The Gay Wedding actually got quite a bit of national media attention. It succeeded. They want lightning to strike twice. They figure this will cause such public outrage that everyone will start talking about the WWE again. There's an old saying that there is no such thing as bad publicity. This is the disturbing proof of that. So, do you want this shit to stop? Then stop talking about it. Don't give them the satisfaction of knowing that it's got your attention. The national media isn't giving this load of garbage any attention and neither should we. The more you discuss the Worst Angle Ever, the more you are letting them win.
Guest chirs3 Posted October 22, 2002 Report Posted October 22, 2002 I don't think conversations on a lowly message board will be helping their plan for world domination...
Guest The Tino Standard Posted October 22, 2002 Report Posted October 22, 2002 It starts somewhere. Trust me, if the higher online journalists still see this as a hot-button topic, they will continue to drag out every possible story they can from it. More stories on hot subjects equals more hits and more attention. That, in turn, gets pushed right along to being proof positive for the WWE that this awful awful angle is, indeed, a successful attention-getter. Oversimplified? Sure. But you get the basic idea.
Guest chirs3 Posted October 22, 2002 Report Posted October 22, 2002 Well, I'd guess that the highest we can influence is the internet WRESTLING journalists. I can't see someone higher up on the food chain saying "Man, all those wrestling journalists are buzzing over something! Let's pick it up!". Mainstream coverage would be/will be coming from somewhere else. At least, I think so. Maybe people DO care about what wrestling journalists write about, other than wrestling fans... I dunno.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 HHH: Hey-uh, Vince. Remember the last time-uh a wrestler died on live tv-uh..it got national tv-uh attention... Vince: You aren't suggesting what I think you're suggesting.. HHH: I nominate-uh Jericho..but-uh we could always go with Bossman-uh, he did-uh the hanging angle back in 1999 uh.. Vince: But still, isn't that going a bit too far, even for the WWE? HHH: We could have-uh the Bossman come back-uh from the dead like they do-uh all the time on the soap operas.. Vince: What about Jericho? HHH: Uh...I've gotta go Vince.. I may have overdone the uhs..
Guest Breetai Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 I may have overdone the uhs.. Yeah, and you forgot: :poses: :spits water: :tears quad:
Guest snowfan Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 I may have overdone the uhs.. Yeah, and you forgot: :poses: :spits water: :tears quad: Remember the dumber his idea the more "-uhs"... thus on average I leave 1 out of every 5 words without "-uh". :poses: :spits water: :tears quad: :holds down Jericho:
Guest cynicalprofit Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 If we dont bitch, they wont change anything. Besides, who in the unholy fuck can relate to fucking a corpse, im guessing less then 1% of the world can, and if its more, please dont let me know!
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 I thought we agreed on :fucks corpse: in the Raw thread? Personally, I only put uhs on words with more than one syllable. "He-uh" is just silly. - Spelling is hard

"He-uh" is just silly. - Spelling is hard ah I agree it looks tacky but listen to him speak and he DOES say "he-uh" on occasion. I forgot the :fucks corpse:.... You know I think Vince is just living out his fantasy of "go fuck yourself" as Big Steph does rather favor him.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 No matter how little, or how much we talk about this angle, it won't go away. We're stuck with Kane vs. HHH again at the Survivor Series, and it's all going to be over this tape. Damn, why does Kane have to be involved in such crappy angles?
Guest ManKinnd Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 His first fued with Taker was done quite well.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 I wish after they watched this tape seven days later the ANGLE would die
Guest Pop Culture God Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 I wish after they watched this tape seven days later the ANGLE would die Don't bring Kurt into this!
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 Oooo! A Ring angle would be sweet though. Done by a different promotion, anyway. with, y'know, talented people. Right. Ok, I'm gonna stop now.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 What else is there to talk about on the WWE message board. This was the big storyline for Raw and 3 days after Raw that's what gets the most attention. After Smackdown airs that will get more attention.
