Guest wwF1587 Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 Wow, they did it.. it looks like at the Survivor Series it will be the Big Show VS Brock Lesner.. take a guy who is barely on ppvs anymore.. and give him the big push. While young an talented guys like RVD/Booker/Angle/Beniot/Guerraros are stuck in mid card hell paying the price of working every event. WHAT IN HELL ARE THEY THINKING! DO they WANT to ruin their product? Big Show/Lesner HHH/Kane Worst Survivor Series possibly EVER! Big Show is a disease... Only Angle/Beniot/Guerarros can save SD! now. HOSSAMANIA IS RUNNIN WILD!!!!!
Guest Pop Culture God Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 I don't know if you noticed but there are about a half-dozen threads about this. Pick one.
Guest BA_Baracus Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 Well... ...Vince has gone nuts. Oh well, I guess I'll just stop watching the last 20 "main-event" minutes of all the shows for the next couple months (when the ratings fall so low that he's forced to push someone semi-talented).
Guest razazteca Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 it could be worst...... Albert could of gotten a title shot
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 "RVD/Booker/Angle/Beniot/Guerraros " Big Show is younger than all of these people. Except maybe Chavo. I get the talented part though...Show sucks.
Guest Pop Culture God Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 Chavo is older than Show, he just doesn't look it.
Guest candie45 Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 FFUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just got home, and this was the first thing I read. Thanks Vince and a big FUCK YOU ASSHOLE! Big show sucks my fucking ass crack. Fuck fuck fuck. STUPID FUCKS!
Guest BA_Baracus Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 Uhhh... ...Albert is a lot better than Show. The Big Show is the worst wrestler in the WWE, bar none.
Guest Plushy Al Logan Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 it could be worst...... Albert could of gotten a title shot What about Rikishi, or the Underfaker?
Guest Banky Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 Big Show is worse than Mark Henry? I don't think so. I am hoping logic will prevail, and Lesnar will not face Big Show.
Guest RedJed Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 I hope this is just a prelude to a match between them for next week's Smackdown. Or else its going to be a rough, confusing, and brutal buildup to this match. Show holds almost no credibility as a threat to any title, much less the WWE belt. Putting this as a bigtime ppv match at one of the big 5 WWE ppvs (and one from MSG too) is riduculous. So many problems just beyond the fact that Show isn't a legit threat. You also have a heel-heel matchup, which is hard to sell as something special except in circumstances like Angle-Benoit perhaps. So there is already two strikes against all of this. 3rd strike is the fact that who will this help? Lesnar beats Show in a high profile match.......who hasn't? If Show gets any sort of rub from Lesnar (which he has to basically) it's going to hurt the momentum Lesnar has gotten from HIAC and Taker. I almost would have to say they would have to give Show a pinfall squash win in a non-title affair against Brock to give him anysort of credibility, and its just sad that they would have to go that far since that would obviously hurt Brock in that his TV winning streak would be over. The real people hurt here is us, the fans. Just another example of someone (Vince) not listening to what the fans want. I'd much rather see either of these plans instead of this...... 1) You have interaction between Angle and Brock to start which build up more heat between them, but in that, it leads to a high profile match with Benoit and Lesnar (turn Benoit and Angle face out of all of this) when Benoit saves Angle from a Lesnar beatdown. Angle then takes on Eddie Guererro at Survivor Series as well, as Angle's attention is more drawn to Eddie than Brock since Benoit is gunning for Brock and sometime this month, Los Guererros get the tag titles from A/B. 2) Rey or Edge is getting so much momentum that either or both could be penciled in for a world title shot at Survivor Series. In whatever case, this certainly also holds more importance for a big show than.....well Big Show.
Guest Downhome Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 I say give it just a bit of time, if only one show. The Big Show could be watchable if he is motivated, and could be a force in Pro. Wrestling if he ever finds his damn niche. I look at him like this... ...at one time, he had obvious talent in the ring, even if it was years ago. He was young, had a lot to prove, and was motivated to improve, but, that ended quite some time ago. He decided that in WCW one needs to do nothing more than be friends with the higherups to get anywhere, and that's what he did. His motivation died, his ego was created, and then he became what he is now. I'm not saying he's great in the ring, I'm not saying he deserves anything he's being given the shot at, I'm just saying give it a few shows, and then we can talk about how it is a failure. Besides, it isn't like he'll win the title, he's just another in the line of guys to job out to Brock Lesnar, on his road to Wrestlemania. The Big Show isn't the first, and he wont be the last, but he will NOT win the title. Who knows, perhaps The Big Show has decided that he needs to kick it up a notch, get in better shape, and to develop into the monster that he should have been all along up to this point. I'm not pleased with it, but seriously, it isn't hurting anything. Hell... ...if anything, it keeps one of the more talented guys, much more talented guys, from having to endure an embarrasing loss Brocky.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted October 23, 2002 Report Posted October 23, 2002 I don't care anymore. Screw the main events, as long as Benoit & Company still get most of Smackdown I won't care. I don't order the PPVs now anyways. There are worse people to come over than Big Show (*cough*HHH*cough*). At least you know Big Show won't pull any power trips.
Guest Slingshot Suplex Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 Lesnar vs Big Show.....because Lesnar vs a good wrestler would overshadow anything HHH vs Kane will do. Lesnar vs Big Show will make HHH's match look good in comparison.
