Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 Rey Mysterio's longtime knee injury has been flaring up more lately. He has switched to a new style of knee brace, but still might need to have his knee scoped in the future. While he is working through the injury now, largely due to the huge push he is getting, many fear that his injury is way worse than he is letting on. Credit: Pro Wrestling Torch Newsletter
Guest Brian Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 This is like a few weeks old isn't it?
Guest Joe_G Posted October 24, 2002 Report Posted October 24, 2002 I read somewhere that when Rey had his knee surgery in the late 90's, his doctor told him to avoid jumping in the air and landing on two feet. He was also told to not even jump off of curbs. Now that tells me you've got really bad knees. His entrance can't be helping matters.
Guest cynicalprofit Posted October 25, 2002 Report Posted October 25, 2002 for the paycheck...is it worth it that damn much? Shame if rey goes out now, or if he has to go out now, but it was great while it lasted.
Guest DeputyHawk Posted October 25, 2002 Report Posted October 25, 2002 he just squeezed out the probable match of the year, so top marks to the little trooper.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 25, 2002 Report Posted October 25, 2002 Great, all they fucking need.
Guest Brian Posted October 25, 2002 Report Posted October 25, 2002 The problem is, and this is what happened in WCW, was that he got so used to working in the big arenas and getting big pops that he's hooked on hitting the big spots. He should be doing what he did in the indies; playing face in peril, working the mat, and pacing everything.
