Guest jm29195 Posted October 26, 2002 Report Posted October 26, 2002 Booker T beat Matt Hardy- ok match Funaki beat Crash Holly- lots of blown spots- you fucked up chants Kidman and Torrie beat Dawn Marie and John Cena Jamie Knoble beat Rey Mysterio after Knoble had earlier eliminated Tajiri with a tiger bomb- very good match D-von and Simmons beat Chuck and Val Venis- crap thrown together at the last minute match Rikishi beat Albert in a Kiss my arse match- crap match Kurt Angle and Benoit beat the Gurreros- match of the night- Angle was (suprisingly) super over as a face with the crowd who were constantly chanting for him to be tagged in . Brock Lesnar beat Edge in a psychologically sound match, it was supposed to be a handicap match with Heyman but he was basically a non factor- better than I thought.. Ok uk ppv with the tag ttile match really standing out- better than their pre- No Mercy effort I think- and the main event and the Cruiserweight matches also being pretty good

Guest HartFan86 Posted October 27, 2002 Report Posted October 27, 2002 From 1wrestling.com: October 26 2002 Manchester Evening News Arena, England Commentators - Micheal Cole & Tazz The PPV opened with a very good promo video as per usual from the WWE, it had the voice of a small child and clips of the Smackdown heels and faces, kinda weird but very good. Fireworks went off, sold out crowd went nuts! Pretty impressive set. Stephanie came out, welcomed the fans to Rebellion and said the Undertaker couldn't be there due to reasons beyond her control, but she had a treat for the UK fans, based on the trade and the Big Show joining Smackdown, for one night only.... Booker T is on the card! He came out to a good pop followed by Matt Hardy and his superb Mattitude entrance video for the 1st match of the night. Booker T defeated Matt Hardy via the scissors kick. Good solid opener, Crowd were into it. After the match we were treated a special UK Spinarooni!......great huh? Paul Heyman was shown walking through the hall as he burst into Steph's makeshift office, he did the usual moaning, "it's not fair", etc.... and as soon as he heard the Undertaker wasn't coming he didn't bother bringing any wrestling gear. Steph told him to wrestle in his suit and as he left Heyman said "you're just like your father" Billy Kidman/Torrie Wilson defeated John Cena/Dawn Marie. Not a bad match, Torrie and Dawn really shouldn't wrestle and just stick to posedowns. After the match, Torrie laid a smacker on Kidman... lucky bastard. Michael Cole interviewed Edge over the PA in the back, your usual spiel, 'I will be next WWE Champion' etc... called the fans the 'Edge Army' and then left. Funaki defeated Crash. Pretty poor match, during it Crash put on his Karate head band showing off his moves to Funaki... kinda funny, but didn't really help him, Funaki sneaked the win. Nidia was shown walking in the hall, sniggered and looked sick as she walked past a UK steward guy, she bumped into Jamie Noble, he kissed her, insulted UK people and they walked off, him slapping her ass on the way. Again in the back, Rey Mysterio looked directly into the camera and left, kinda freaky.... he's up next. Jamie Noble pinned Rey Mysterio to retain the Cruiserweight Title. Good match, Tajiri was eliminated first, in fact pretty quickly so they left it to Noble and Rey to have the match. Afterwards, 619 on Noble and Nidia... great pop! Benoit was in the back with Kurt Angle. A discussion on who was team captain took place.. who's better, etc.... (stupid fans still saying 'what' after everything Angle said.... just get over it or end it!!!) Angle said Benoit fits in well over here with his bad teeth... and threatened to kick his ass.... 'Its Bloody freakin' well true!' Ron Simmons/D-von defeated Chuck/Big Valbowski. The crowd was dead for this one, not good at all, didn't last long. The Guerreros were in the back talking to Michael Cole, they dissed the UK even said they were in Germany at one point (good heat!) again they did the usual 'were gonna take the titles' spiel. Rikishi defeated Albert in a Kiss My Ass match. This was your standard big man match... pretty crappy. After the match Albert tried to leave and pleaded with him not to have to do it, Albert then beat Rikishi down and tried to make him kiss his ass instead but Rikishi reversed it and everyone got what they wanted to see!..... Rikishi then got Michael Cole, Tazz and Tony Chimmel in the ring and danced the night away! Funny stuff. Chris Benoit & Kurt Angle defeated The Guerreros. Great match! Angle seemed pretty over as a face even if he's not meant to be! The crowd was chanting for him while Benoit was in the ring. They're pushing the fact that both men just want to out do each other, simple I guess. Lesnar was in the back, Heyman was doing push ups and Lesnar said he will break Heyman in half if he screws up! Last match seems to be next. Brock Lesnar defeated Edge. very good match, Heyman didn't get involved too much until the end, Lesnar used the chair and got the F5. After the match Lesnar left and Heyman got in the ring with the chair, he trash talked Edge, ' Do you know what you did to my ribs?'... you know what's next, Edge sprung up and gave Heyman the Edgecution as the PPV went off the air. On the whole it was your average UK PPV offering, lasting 2 hrs 30 mins, it was nothing great. Glorified House show again springs to mind as it usually does with UK PPVs. They're back in June for another one in Newcastle, interesting, they've never been there before. I'm at the House Show in Sheffield tomorrow so I'll drop by with some more comments then!

Guest DJ Jeff Posted October 27, 2002 Report Posted October 27, 2002 Hopefully we'll see Lesnar© vs. Edge for the WWE Title instead of Lesnar vs. the Big Show at the Survivor Series. Also, it looks like Lesnar might dump Heyman soon, which is what I want to see happen.
