How bad is

Think about it (and for the benefits of the anti-smarks, I'm not going to mention any supposed 'backstage politics', I'm just going to discuss what's available by watching RAW and SMACKDOWN! and generally well-known information pertaining to the Big Show)

On RAW you have a bunch of incredibly over potential main eventers in RVD, Booker and Y2J. However, they're relegated to curtain-jerking status pretty much, with feuds with old men way past their prime. We also have HHH, who is practically unstoppable, NEVER jobs, sells once in a blue moon and although he is a heel he beats all of the faces with his finisher no matter the situation. Therefore there is no opportunity for advancement, no other wrestler on the RAW brand can look like a credible threat, and HHH ploughs through faces so quickly that he's left with meaningless challengers (Bubba) or worse. Plus there's the whole necrophilia angle, which is pretty much destroying Kane's career. How does being a drunk-driving alleged necrophiliac make you a face?

On the smackdown side we have several workers who are busting ass and putting on insane matches every week. (Rey, Edge, the Guererros and Benoit&Angle). The payoff for this is to sit back and watch an out of shape, sloppy worker who has been repremanded time and time again for his weight problem and general suckitude come in fresh from jobbing to practically everyone on the RAW roster, not to mention never having a good match in his career and not being over for years, and automatically snag the top spot with a programme with the champ and main event status. Y'know, I don't mind Brock Lesnar as champ. Even if he goes over Beniot on the road to wrestlemania, as long as he SELLS for him and makes him look good (and face it, Brock is 1000000 times better at doing so than HHH) I'll be happy. But DON'T give a top spot to someone as undeserving as show.

How long before the locker room implodes? How long before the wrestlers walk out en masse?

This is very much different then 1994. WCW and ECW were considered viable options for any wrestlers that felt neglected or disagreed with WWF's policy. Today, NWA is hardly a desired place and Japan isn't a big market anymore.

Wrestlers are in a worst shape today because they have no advantage over Vince, they can't say "Push Me or I'll defect to Paul or Eric".

The Raw morale is said to be very low while Heyman's product is looking optismistic...

Which leads me to think that Heyman is secretly looking to restart ECW with a crop of new superstars...

Walk out over what? It isn't real, it's scripted, all of it. Furthermore, It's a job, that pays very well. Did you see Booker T's house on Confidential? You think he cares, or even is upset. They are all professionals. Who's to say that morale isn't great?

I thought the title of this thread was the set-up to some Rodney Dangerfield style one-line joke.

"How bad is morale? It's so bad that they gotta start beatin em just to get them to smile."

"How bad ism morale? So bad that wrestlers are missing work cause they need to go to the DMV to relax."

Thanks, I'll be here Tuesdays and Thursdays, tip your waitresses.

Yeah, I'd think they'd care.

If you're working for the only game in town and you see them pulling shit that you know is going to result in no one having a job down the line due to poor business, I'd say your morale stinks.

If you discover that there is no incentive to go out there and preform your best because no matter how much the crowd likes you, you'll still be stuck jobbing to certain "stars" that the company gets behind no matter what, your morale would be affected.

If you notice that those people who the crowd likes always seem to end up getting put into situations for no reason that any utter moron could figure out would lower their value in the crowd's eyes, your morale would go to shit.

Now, do you just play devil's advocate in every thread or are you just blind?
