Guest HartFan86 Posted October 27, 2002 Report Posted October 27, 2002 ....Vince Russo? Think about it. He came back for like 1 day (or whatever it was) and went to some meetings. Could he have given them this idea and the WWE is finally deciding to use it without Russo at the job? I doubt it, but then again....this whole angle is very Russoriffic, so who knows.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 27, 2002 Report Posted October 27, 2002 The angle comes from the writers trying to be like Russo. Which is even worse. Vince for some reason thinks he made a billion dollars because the storylines were "edgy". He made that money because Austin was the biggest star in the history of wrestling at that point in time. But Vince beleives what he wants to.
Guest BigPoppaKev Posted October 27, 2002 Report Posted October 27, 2002 Yeah I think there is zero chance Russo though of this. Especially with all these reports it was Kevin Dunn's idea.

Which he could of taken from Russo when he had his meeting back when he was with the company for 1 day or whatever.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted October 28, 2002 Report Posted October 28, 2002 No, Russo would at least make his angles semi-interesting, be it in the "so bad it's funny" way or the "Jesus Christ, this makes sense...SWERVE!" way. Russo isn't as bad as THIS...
Guest DJ Jeff Posted October 28, 2002 Report Posted October 28, 2002 Whoever thought of this angle should be fired, that much I do know.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 28, 2002 Report Posted October 28, 2002 I bet the necrophillia angle comes from the fact that CSI airs after RAW and necrophillia is something that CSI might (have they?) dealt with. WWE thinks whatever might go on CSI must mean big ratings since its a big ratings grabber for CBS..
Guest DJ Jeff Posted October 28, 2002 Report Posted October 28, 2002 I don't think anything to do with necrophillia would air on CSI. Then again, I could be wrong. I've only watched the show a few times.
Guest Pop Culture God Posted October 28, 2002 Report Posted October 28, 2002 Russo's idea would have involved Kane's underage sexually submissive half-sister who he raped. At least it would resulted in pictures of half naked Asian chicks in schoolgirl uniforms.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 28, 2002 Report Posted October 28, 2002 I doubt Russo would go this far. The only wrestling personality that I would think could go this far (prior to Vince or whoever) is Rob Black of XPW, and he's probably shaking his head saying "why didn't I think of necrophillia first??"
Guest phoenixrising Posted October 28, 2002 Report Posted October 28, 2002 I have a theory on how the necrophilia angle got started. In "Have A Nice Day", Foley is talking about his "Lost In Cleveland" angle. Foley pitched to Dusty Rhodes about a brutal Vader match, and Dusty started talking about how Foley would get amnesia, he wouldn't remember who he was, etc. This is what happened to the angle, and Foley says that the general idea was good, but the writers took it in an entirely different direction. I have a feeling the necrophilia angle started this way too. The writers are sitting around thinking of stuff to do, one suggests HHH playing mind games with Kane by revealing that he killed someone a long time ago. Then someone decides that's not enough, and adds the whole stick-shift part and then just to top it someone suggests necrophilia. So it probably started off as something simple and took off on a weird tangent encouraged by the McMahons.
Guest Choken One Posted October 28, 2002 Report Posted October 28, 2002 If this was just a Murder storyline I don't we have a huge problem with iT
Guest jester Posted October 28, 2002 Report Posted October 28, 2002 Actually, when I saw the tape segment I thought that Steph had broken up with HHH, and this was the start of her vengeance.
