Guest alfdogg Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 And please, I know most people will hate this idea, but none of the smart ass remarks, just answer the question. Assuming they go with the HHH/Flair/Orton/Batista stable... All the seeds are sown (sowed?) for this stable, it all comes together, blah blah blah. Anyway, Flair announces that they will call themselves the Horsemen...then Arn Anderson comes out and chews out Flair. He announces that Flair doesn't own the rights to the Horsemen, but Arn does, and introduces his babyface Four Horsemen stable... and my question to you is who should those four men be?
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 booker,RVD,Goldust, and *Picks random face* Bubba.
Guest Dillon Likes Bossman Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 I'd like the scenario only if its one nite only. The babyfaces would be RVD, Booker T, Jeff Hardy, and a newly turned jericho?....idk I hate to see the horsemen name get shit over. I can have faith that the greatest wrestling stable of all time, will have it's name drug through the mud.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 NO jeff hardy. Jeff Hardy in the horsemen would be worse than Roma.
Guest razazteca Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 RVD, Booker T, Hurricane, Dean Malenko Goldust gets the task of carrying Kane now
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 Yes, he's a road agent now.
Guest CanadianChick Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 thats what i thought. And nice double post CWM
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 damn! I always do that!
Guest Pop Culture God Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 Babyface Horsemen: Michaels, Booker, RVD, Goldust as Dustin.
Guest razazteca Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 well its time to bring the Man of 1000 moves out of retirement plus who else could be linked to the greatness that was the Horsemen of WCW currently employed by WWE other than Malenko or Benoit?
Guest prez Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 Just wondering, Dillon Likes Bossman, where does that quote in your sig come from?
Guest DJ Jeff Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 If I were to put together a face Horsemen stable, I would have RVD, Booker T, Jeff Hardy, and the Hurricane in it.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 Yeah lets make the horsemen into a joke...sounds good.
Guest SP-1 Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 Jericho, Booker, a serious RVD, and maybe Hurricane. But I'd only like to see a babyface Horsemen come out if they were serious and intense. I wouldn't want to see too much comedy involved, which is why Hurricane and possibly RVD may not work. -SP, who wants some intense, dramatic tension in his matches.
Guest papacita Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 Face Horsemen...um...if Benoit and Austin were still on Raw, I'd say them, but going by who they have on the Raw roster...um...RVD since he's probably the most over face, Tommy Dreamer (in an Enforcer type role), Hurricane (he'd have to drop the gimmick though), and...I dunno. I'll just say Booker. Edit: Change Hurricane to Goldust. Damn they need stronger faces.
Guest razazteca Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 its hard to consider a face Horseman team as the talent on Raw really does not fit into the scheme. Since all of the faces are comedians or try to be funny. Now if you could get the talent from Smackdown then it should be Kurt Angle, Benoit, Eddy, Regal.
Guest Redhawk Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 Aren't the Horsemen supposed to be all elite and sophisticated? Therefore, I doubt Booker T (jokes around too much), Goldust (homosexual who wears a gold jumpsuit), RVD (too laid-back), Hurricane (comic-book character), or Jeff Hardy (skinny freak who looks like a junkie) would fit the mold. I mean, could you even picture that group wearing tuxedos--or even collared shirts--to the ring? One problem with RAW (and WWE in general) is that all of the babyfaces have to be either comedians, funny-dressed freaks, super "cool," or ultra-badasses.
Guest creativename Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 The "ideal" Four Horsemen, heel or face, would be the Holy Trinity (Angle, Benoit, Eddie) and Jericho. I really think that if you're going to have a big stable return, you have to: i) Make them the focal point of the storylines ii) Make everyone a legitimate superstar; for instance, the nWo felt like such a big deal because Hogan, Hall and Nash were all famous main-event types (Hall was borderline main event). Watered down stables aren't effective.
Guest Zero_Cool Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 Yeah, the problem with babyfaces right now in WWE is that their characters have to be an extreme of one personality. Why can't there be a face character that...is normal! You know, a guy of average build, who isn't overly comedic, is a badass sometimes, and is clever. kinda like a McGuyver!
Guest Nater Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 Bringing back dead groups does not help build interest. But, I'll go along and do the if-then's.. HHH/Flair/Orton/Batista first, i had trouble remembering that this group is supposedly including Batista and Orton. I think Batista and Orton are gonna get shit on out of this, because they will be the ones on their back when its their turn to bail. Who would they face? Does it matter? Seeing as groups like this deter from clean finishes and lead to tons and tons of run-ins... anti-climatic matches should be bad for business?
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 Since they are obviously going to go with HHH/Orton/Batista as the wrestlers and Flair as the manager, I'd add a 4th wrestler to the group: The Rock. Turn the Rock heel in his corporate character and he would be a perfect fit in the horseman and would complement Hunter's "Triple Naitch" character perfectly. A face vs. heel horseman angle would be interesting but as others have said it would require some re-styling of the faces. The blowoff (winners keep name) would probably be strong though.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 Good god. Goldust as a member of "the most elite group of wrestlers blah blah blah"? NO. He may be over, but Dustin as a Horseman is crazy talk. Best WWE Horsemen would be Jericho, Lesnar, Angle, and RVD. Unfortunately, I could see McMahon wanting to put one of his other two blonde-haired Canadians in Jericho's spot, since they're WWF-bred talent and he's not, but Edge is getting regular matches with the best guys they got and could make it if he can still have good matches with lesser guys.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 I would have RVD, Booker T, Jeff Hardy, and the Hurricane in it. Sounds more like the "UNION" 2002.
Guest BaldFish Posted November 2, 2002 Report Posted November 2, 2002 I think the idea of calling any new stable "The Four Horsemen" is a bad idea. That said--what WWE needs are NEW stables. Stables help guys get over, plain and simple. HHH/Batista/Orton/Jericho v. RVD/Dreamer/Bubba/Spike (face it--the audience loves to chant E-C-Dub. You don't have to advertise them as ECW guys, your fans already know)
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted November 3, 2002 Report Posted November 3, 2002 NO jeff hardy. Jeff Hardy in the horsemen would be worse than Roma. And yet you put Bubba in your version
Guest Dillon Likes Bossman Posted November 3, 2002 Report Posted November 3, 2002 Prez, this quote is from one of my fantasy booking angles...in witch people crap in eachothers mouths.....some of my best wrok.
Guest Ram Posted November 3, 2002 Report Posted November 3, 2002 The Four Horseman Starring: Hunter Helmsley! (as the cocky Ric Flair) Charles "The Enforcer" Palumbo! (as the serious brawler Arn Anderson) "The Loose Cannon" Thomas Dreamer! (as the crazy short fuse "Loose Cannon" Brian Pillman) William "Mongo" Batista! (as strong background weirdo Steve "Mongo" McMichael) With: Ric Flair! (as crazy old guy Ole Anderson) Here's my choices (all with manager Flair and leader HHH): Orton, Batista, Palumbo (for the sake of nobody noticing), Dreamer, Stamboli, Nowinski, or Jericho. Of course, it IS necessary for the slow build for this. You need to build each up to credibility and then do a memorable formation.
Guest Trivia247 Posted November 3, 2002 Report Posted November 3, 2002 Horsemen are originally a Heel stable. one of the best stables because we all remember them...you need people who are not only good bad guys but are technically profient wrestlers. Arn, Ole Tully were no sloutches. Plus Ric Flair being the Mastermind. The Horsemen never had Big men really in their ranks, So it leaves Medium Size wrestlers who use wrestling and numbers... I have no idea who would Measure up on the Raw roster for such a job... but Cena, Benoit, Kanyon are three I could see in it.
