Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted November 3, 2002 Report Posted November 3, 2002 I was listening to the Canucks game on the radio and right after an interview came on with martha hart who is promoting her book. She pretty much trashed the industry, and the other workers in the business, all though the interviewer seemed to be goading her on. All in all she came off a little bitter but frankly I can't blame her.
Guest art_vandelay Posted November 3, 2002 Report Posted November 3, 2002 Sounds a lot like the way she acted during her interview on The LAW last week. She sounded very honest to me. It was very interesting.
Guest Anglesault Posted November 3, 2002 Report Posted November 3, 2002 Martha is...Owen's wife, right? Screwed up fucking family to begin with.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted November 3, 2002 Report Posted November 3, 2002 I'm as sad as the next guy about what happened to Owen, but come on. What a moneygrubber. I find that the whole Hart family seems to be fighting over what's left anymore, but shortly after Owen died Martha came out of nowhere, made a stink, and launched a lawsuit to get money hand over first. Pffft. She lives in a nicer house than I ever will.

Her husband died in a negligent act, she deserved that money. And you know what? It was the lawyers of hers that told her to go after money, Martha just wanted to drag the WWF and everyon else resposible to court to reckon for Owen. Read her book, it's a good read and will certainly change your look at Martha, it did for me.
Guest Anglesault Posted November 3, 2002 Report Posted November 3, 2002 My view is a bitter nutjob who is part of an even crazier family. What will my new view be?

Read her book, it's a good read and will certainly change your look at Martha, it did for me. Low end WWE wrestlers make $300,000/year. Owen, before he died, was making upwards to $750,000/year. Owen himself said he could have retired in 3-3 years and live comfortably. Martha is not a moneygrubber. She deserves all of the money given to her. But, honestly, did the WWE kill Owen? No. It was an accident and nothing more. They gave her the $15 million, and that should be it. I cdisagree with her going on all these shows sandering the company. I find that the Hart Family handled things well with the WWE. They were obviously hurt what happened to their brother, but they looked at the situation realistically. Even Bret is starting to come around. All that said, I can't REALLY critisize Martha until I lose someone I love in such a senseless way.
Guest Pop Culture God Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 Shouldn't this be in General wrestling?
