Guest ShooterJay Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 As I mentioned a week ago, I'm heading to Raw tonight at the Fleet. Yeah, this is the shitty show, and on some level I'm pissed it's not Smackdown, but I've had this strange feeling this week might turn it around. I think it's because of that Elimination Chamber- all of a sudden, RVD, Chris Jericho and Booker T are in a PPV main event and Shawn Michaels, who we know can still bring it (at least every few months) is back. If any of those guys are booked against each other tonight, there might finally be a really good match on the show for the first time in weeks. HHH-Kane, and the horrible-beyond-words Katie Vick angle, is apparently blown off, which means clean slate. Vince might, just might, have taken the hint after the ratings drop last week, which means no more strange shit. The undercard, while not comparable to Smackdown's, still has quality workers- Hurricane, Tommy Dreamer, Lance Storm, Steven Richards to name a few. Plus, even though I hate Scott Steiner, he's still something fresh. which should have the crowd buzzing tonight. Plus there's still the players to be named later in the Smackdown trade. I'm thinking the beginnings of another major shift will go down tonight. I'm gonna put on my ECW RVD shirt and hope for the best.
Guest Pop Culture God Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 It will get better. Two weeks ago was rock bottom. Last week was an improvement. This week will be watchable.
Guest NoCalMike Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 Well here is hoping we will never hear the name "Katie Vick" mentioned again. I just hope the WWE does a good job promoting all the members of the Elimination Chamber match and not say, "My gawd Triple and HBK hate each other, there is gonna be carnage at the survivor series, oh and a few other guys will mix it up along the way, but my gawd what is Triple H gonna do?"
Guest SP-1 Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 I have somewhat of a sense about tonight's RAW, as well. I have been on the verge of swearing it off after the last few weeks, but with HBK popping up, I'm somewhat interested again. Here's hoping our feelings are correct. SP
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 I'd like to be hopeful for RAW, but past expiriences have taught me that hope is a dangerous thing, especially when it involves the WWE. I honestly feel bad for Jericho, Booker, Kane and RVD because I know that the main focus of RAW tonight will be HHH vs HBK.
Guest jester Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 I think it will be better, but a long way from good.
Guest El Satanico Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 Vince will likely at some point have something "special" for us to build up HBK vs. HHH so be afraid...very afraid.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 I don't think the "mood" is going to get any better. You have to remember...these same guys who have been constantly overshadowed by the same people (or person now that Taker is on SD!) have sit back and watch the kingdom crumble. They brought back Hogan and the NWO...and it bombed. Austin walked out...and no one new on RAW moved up. Alot of these people have to be wondering when exactly things will change... and then the WWE signs Scott Steiner and puts HBK back on TV. The mood will not change anytime in the near future.
Guest razazteca Posted November 4, 2002 Report Posted November 4, 2002 Mood About To Change is Taz going to Announce Raw now? Speaker louder if you can, Talk if I let you.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted November 5, 2002 Report Posted November 5, 2002 Two weeks ago, I wouldn't have been looking forward to RAW. Last week, I watched just because. This week, though, I'm actually looking forward to it. Now that we know what the Elimination Chamber is, and who will participate, we should start seeing some decent matches from that. Plus, there's always the possiblity of Steiner showing up as well. So, yeah, RAW should be better.
Guest Ram Posted November 5, 2002 Report Posted November 5, 2002 I foresee the 4 faces of the Chamber standing tall over the 2 heels of the Chamber. Doesn't the main event just call for that ending?
Guest Kingpk Posted November 5, 2002 Report Posted November 5, 2002 I'm gonna give it a chance this week, but the minute HHH starts talking, off to MNF.
Guest RenegadeX28 Posted November 5, 2002 Report Posted November 5, 2002 I get that feeling as well....let's hope this is a good RAW.....lol
